I lost my Green Cheek Conure Rosie tragically. Our pet dog had killed her, unfortunately she was in bad condition so I was unsure if Allen could capture her image and beauty in the memoir frame we requested. When we arrived it was so difficult to say goodbye. But Allen was very compassionate toward our loss. He has a wide selection of urns to out her cremated remains as well as creative options like necklaces to carry a part of her remains. My boyfriend and I decided on a wooden urn/box that comes with an insert for her picture. When we got Rosie back I couldn't stop crying because the frame looked just like her. We took their information "just in case" because we had a 19 year old German Pinscher, but were hoping not to have to call them. I thought that my heart was ripping out when my almost 15 year old dog passed away. Allen was incredibly caring and sympathetic with my loss and the service was incredibly quick. My almost 50 pound dog was brought to Compassionate Pet Cremation on a Sunday and available on Tuesday (2 days later). The frame with his fur and his paw as a gift was so incredibly thoughtful that we bought another one along with a card. They have multiple urn options available or you can get a temporary urn as part of the package. It's not a fun service but a necessary one, which is why it is important that they are there when you need it. We lost our cat, Parker, on a Sunday night. So Monday morning we had to hit the phones during COVID, looking for a place that could take care of him for us. One place told use they just weren't doing pickups during COVID, but since they were far away, said they were sorry for our loss and that we should keep looking. We finally found Compassionate Pet Cremation. It was a bit of a drive, but it didn't matter. When we got there, they were so caring and thoughtful I felt like Parker was in the right place. We were given as much time as needed to find a memorial box to bring him home in. Given time to sit with him before they took him back. They explained how they would take care of him and treat him with dignity and respect. It was one of the saddest days I've ever had, but they made it easier on us. I will send anyone I know there, and always use them in the future (hopefully not often). We were told it could take a few days before he'd be ready to come home, but they called me the next day and said I could come get him, which was a relief because I just wanted him back home. With all the great reviews, and the recommendation from our Veterinarian Spencer Animal Hospital, we hope this is an isolated incident, but felt we should share our experience with Compassionate Pet Cremations. Something like this should never happen to a loved one or people in mourning. Our beloved dog Shadow, who was going to turn 14yrs old this year became sick and had to be euthanized,This was on a Friday. As stated, our Vet recommended Compassionate Pet Cremations, after the procedure we were brought a brochure and we picked out an urn. I went out to the front desk to pay for the procedure and was told that the urn we picked out was not big enough for our Shadow, so they would be putting part of the ashes into a seperate box, not in a good frame of mind I just said ok. On the way home I told my wife what I was told and she said she didn't want two Urns, so I told her we needed to go back and change what I had agreed to. We went back to the Vets and informed the Office person that we wanted to change urns to one that would hold all the remains, after we talked for a few minutes I told them we would go to Compassionate Pet Cremations and pick out the urn ourselves. We picked out the Urn we wanted and was told that it was no problem, but I would have to go back to the Vets office and pay the balance because this one we picked out was a little more expensive, which was alright with us. I took a Picture of the new urn and the price of it and went back to the Vets office.The receptionist looked at the picture, which included the name and looked it up, I paid the difference, and watched her change the info on Shadow's file, this is when things went to hell. We were called the following Tuesday and told Shadow was ready to be picked up, so we went to our vet's office to pick him up and found he had been placed in a wood box with his name on top, we had originally picked out a metal urn, not sure where they came up with a wood box so you could imagine how we felt, we were not going to take our shadow home with us, but was told we would get a call later in the day to let us know what was going on no call. On Wednesday I called the Vets office back to see what was going on, and was told that we would have him back by the end of the day. Later we received a call from the vets telling us that Compassionate Pets van broke down so now we would not get Shadow back until Thursday, I feel that this whole situation was caused by incompetence, these matters should be taken care of by double checking your work, how you call yourself Compassionate when you cause so much pain. I felt I needed to add to my review of Compassionate Pet Cremations. The owner called us and told us how sorry he was that he made a mistake and put our Shadow in the wrong urn, I felt he was very genuine with what he was saying, he told us that he treated Shadow with compassion and love and we believe him. When we received Shadow back we also received a very nice plack with his paw print Thank-you. read more

He treated our cat with dignity, respect, and honor. We chose to have a private viewing and it was so difficult. He reassured us that everything would be ok. The prices are worth it too. I can't say enough praise for the staff! While I personally only spoke with them over the phone Allen answered all my questions and more. My mom actually took Chewy for us, and had nothing but positive things to say. Having worked in healthcare we saw many deaths and how human bodies are handled, she said they handled him with the upmost respect even better than most most humans we have witnessed. They even brought his remains back to the vet for us to pick up. The frame with the paw print and hair are absolutely amazing, even the rainbow bridge card that is signed by Allen himself. And it was much more affordable than what the vet offered us. While I hope I don't have to utilize them for quite awhile I will not hesitate to give him my business again. I was referred to Compassionate Pet Cremation through A Pet Hospital, when I had to put my beloved cat Theo down after 15yrs a few weeks back. And it couldn't have been a more wonderful referral!!! This being my first time having a pet cremated, and fearing that I was just going to get a box of ashes that didn't necessarily belong to Theo, Allen the owner, went through the cremation process with me. He showed me the tag that was placed on Theo, so that after he was cremated, it was with his ashes; identifying his remains correctly. Whew- what a relief! The ashes were presented to me in a simple yet lovely box, though I opted to choose another box from the amazing selection of housing items he had from cloisonne urns, glass hearts, other types of boxes and small sterling silver urns that you can hang from a chain around your neck. And aside from the ashes, I was presented a certificate for the service with Theo's name on it, and a framed imprint of his paw with clips of his beautiful gray/white hair. GREAT CARE and THOUGHT! I didn't think I would ever lose my little Tucker. I had this unrealistic idea in my head that he'd always be there, by my side. He was a chihuahua but only by breed, he didn't bark like one or bite little kids like most do. He loved our entire family, from 34 to 3yrs old.
