A 1/2 hour install took 2 1/2 hours. He cut and spliced, cut and spliced & cut and spliced. He clearly did not know what he was doing, and was learning on my boat. That being said, they finally got the stereo working. I could not test it there because boats have to be in the water to test the ignition. I get to the lake, and the boat would not start. Thinking it is a bad battery, I take it to a mechanic in a nearby town. After having the battery checked, the mechanic said that the battery was good and that the issue was caused by what he said looked like a bad install. He said the ground was insufficient and that the ignition wire was connected to the constant wire; which ultimately caused a fuse to pop. I now must take the boat back on Monday to have the install redone. Unfortunately, my fishing trip was ruined by their unprofessional installation. I would also like to add that the manager was not friendly. When I mentioned that maybe someone else should do the install, he ignored my request even though the installer had told him he was struggling. He told the installer to figure it out, and provided no assistance.

If you're a DIY'er this is a great place to purchase gear, but I can't recommend their installers!…read more I've been into car audio my entire adult life (30+ years). Sense back in the day when these "top of the line" brands were "Made in the USA". I spent more time at "Car-Tunes" "Sound Quest" and "Music Systems" than I spent in school. Anyway... I know a little bit about car audio. Because of my passion for car audio, I wanted to love these guys, but I just can't.... They're nice guys, carry some decent brands, have reasonable prices, and talk a good game; but at the end of the day, they under perform and under deliver where it counts... installs. First, I purchased what was supposed to be a "high end" window tint job (their most expensive ceramic film). It was the most expensive and worst window tint job I've ever had. There were several details that went unnoticed (or ignored) by the installer; defects in the film, debris between the film and glass, bubbles, etc..., and they made a mess of my car, which had just been detailed. They kept the car for two days, and when I picked it up I couldn't even properly examine the windows because they were filthy, inside and out. The manager has promised to make it right, "when he gets a new window tinter". Apparently, he did my car on his last days of work here, which is probably why he did such shitty work. We'll see what happens. Despite everything, I decided to give them more business, this time car audio, and had them install a set of component speakers. Again they kept my car for 2 days, and to top it off, as I drove home, I notices an "engine whine" noise coming from the speakers. I didn't have this "whine" before they installed the speakers, and the speakers are not connected to an amp, they are straight off an Alpine HU. I understand car audio can be complex, and there are a lot of variables that can induce noise. It could be a loose ground on the HU, could be how/where they placed the cross-over... whatever! The point is, it didn't have this problem before they changed the speakers. They had the car for two days to install one set of component speakers, you'd think they would have tested for these issues, and corrected them. Remember, this is all these guys do, they don't sell refrigerators, home theaters, or smartphones here. They do nothing but car audio/video/security, and window tint. They're supposed to be experts! Now I'm out $100+ I paid for the install and I'll still be ripping my car apart myself to troubleshoot and fix this issue (cuz it'll drive me nuts!). I won't be taking it back to them as they don't pay attention to the details of their work, and I don't want to be without my car for another 2 days. Although I will be returning for them to make good on the botched tint job (I can't do that myself).
