To compare another contractor came cut new baseboard because this wasn't in handycrews scope of work and within 8 hours they damaged my cabinet and cracked our brand new tiles. Although the company seems pretty new, the guys that run the business are veterans in the energy construction industry apparently. When they came out to give me a quote, they spent lots of time walking around the house, examining the exterior, and carefully measuring each window. My old windows were original single pane units from the 1970's, so they definitely needed updating. And the exterior paint on the house was super old as well. Since the exterior needed to be repainted anyways, I decided to go with the Cool Wall TexCote heat / sun reflective coating. I also had Clean Energy redo the stone work on the exterior since they were just about doing everything else out there and it turned out fantastic. After the new windows / Texcote, the house is NOTICEABLY cooler and a nice benefit is that with the new double pane Anlin windows that were installed, it's alot quieter too! I'm a light sleeper, so any noise reduction helps. Anyways, had a great experience with these guys overall! Would definitely recommend them if you are looking to upgrade your house to be more energy efficient and better looking at the same time.

I wanted my laundry room outlet to work after 6 years of not working. Simple fix. The breaker was flipped but it wasn't obvious. I have breakers that flip but don't look like they flip. Then I had an outlet in the dining room that has never worked. It was hooked up to a light switch but we couldn't find any switch that controlled it so Ruben offered to wire it so it was always "hot" or on and that made perfect sense. Then the outside outlets got added as requested and done timely . They arrived promptly at 10 and were done by 11:30. Outside outlets were quoted at $530 in advance and that's what I paid for the job. The trouble shooting for the outlets that didn't work was reasonable at $125 vs $180 since one was just a breaker reset. I am supppppperrrrr happy and this was very reasonable and they were very pleasant. At the end of the day, I got 2 outside outlets added, and 2 outlets inside that weren't working and now repaired. Ruben is smart and learned electrical work from his Dad and I really respect children who pay attention and learn from their parents and then as adults have enough smarts to work the family business. I'd support OC Electric because the fees were reasonable, the business is family owned and super professional !!! I gave them a little extra to go have lunch on me. Thank you Ruben and Brian.
