So disappointed. Have had a good experience in the past but this time it happened, they scratched my wheels (and did not say anything). Obviously the tech had to see he did it and said nothing and no one checked up on the tech. I expect incorrect lug nut torque, and possibly rim damage, sadly, just about everywhere now. The torque was close on all four but the scratches are terrible on two wheels and some on all four wheels. Add GL Moore to the list of places to check very closely what was done. read more

I have never looked forward to seeing a mechanic until I started servicing my car at GL Moore. Mark and Mic who run the front of the house make a point to learn their patrons' names and to treat everyone like an individual instead of another driver with a set of keys to a broken car. When I call about a needed service or enter the shop it is nice to be remembered, recognized, and referred to by name. Unique and memorable aspects of GL Moore: -fresh donuts available for the customers to munch away their wait -alternative snacks for the health conscious like raisins and granola bars -complimentary coffee, soda, and water -a rare treat is a giant lovable white dog who is eager to befriend. (I believe the dog "Dakota " is an owner's pet). -they offer to pick you up or drive you home while they care for your vehicle -AND they close down their shop quarterly to have a lunchtime cookout for loyal customers What other auto repair shop can also include a discussion of food!? For the last Friday lunchtime cookout I went to, one of the auto mechanics had stayed up the whole night smoking meat with just a hammock style cot to rest on. THAT is dedication. Lunch was consumed family buffet style on large sheets of plywood that were supported by saw horses. The amount of care and effort that goes into these meals is showcased in the flavorful and rich result. This is a place that truly strives for customer retention and satisfaction. I have tried other shops like the run of the mill Midas and Jiffy Lube before I found a lifetime home for my car at GL Moore. I actually can't find even one aspect of this place to be critical of. It feels good to spend my money at a locally owned small business and I can't imagine taking my car anywhere else. read more

My wife came here for an inspection for my Yukon. The only thing holding my SUV up from passing was a non-working third tail light. They gave her a quote for a replacement and install, and it was about what you would expect to pay at any shop. I get a discount through my job on automotive parts so I decided to replace it myself. She went back the next day and they passed our vehicle. She said they were very nice and welcoming, and was delighted that they did not try to up sell her on anything we didn't need, because she does not know much about cars. The place was clean and they offer free doughnuts, snacks, coffee, drinks etc, for anyone waiting. She said they had a wonderful waiting room with a nice TV and plenty of stuff to keep her and the kiddos occupied while they waited. We only paid for an inspection but the owner gave my six-year-old daughter a very nice (and probably expensive) soccer ball, which she absolutely loved. Especially because she was playing on a soccer team at the time. I work in an office right near their shop and many of my coworkers sing their praises as well. I can say I haven't heard one negative thing about G.L. Moore from the many people I know that take their cars there. Great, clean shop with awesome customer service. read more

Bought new tires there, within a year one started thumping. They refused to warranty and claimed I had put a flat spot on it by hard braking. I have anti-lock brakes so that was impossible, and furthermore, I did not do any emergency braking. Going down I-44 six months later, the tread delaminated on the defective tire at 70 mph, and I was almost hit by a tractor trailer. I would never go back to them. read more

i have used g.l. moore tire for many years. the toyota dealership where i bought my car sent me a coupon for a 39.95 oil change which i took advantage of the savings. while there, they came in and told me i needed new front brakes and my back brakes wouldn't be very far behind. this would have cost 704.oo and some change. i didn't let them do the work but i did have g.l. moore look at my brakes and they informed me i don't need new brakes at all. they also rotated my tires, which the dealership didn't do, and did an inspection for my license renewal. 5 stars to you, mark, and all the crew at g.l. moore tire. thanks for being honest. read more

I've been there several times and have always been pleased.Their shop is clean and orderly, and the people working there are well-dressed, clean cut professionals. They have made several major repairs for me and done them well.The one time that I had a problem after I'd had a car worked on there it was remedied promptly at no extra charge. When you ask them a question they know the answer.As a single woman I don't get talked down to.The office staff are pleasant and good at following through. They also seem to be honest.I once had an oil light that kept coming on despite having enough oil showing on the dipstick, was convinced I needed a new oil pump and left my car there expecting that to be done. Instead the vehicle only had a short in the "Oil" light on the dashboard and they were honest enough to tell me that was all that it was. read more
