Once again, the team at Complete Comfort Dental has gone above and beyond! Yesterday I had my permanent crown placed along with two fillings on the same side. Dr. Kwame and his assistant, Glennese, took exceptional care of me from start to finish. Knowing that I struggle with dental anxiety and TMJ, they scheduled extra time for my appointment so I could take breaks whenever I needed them. They were also incredibly mindful about only using the bite block when absolutely necessary since they know it aggravates my TMJ. Despite taking the extra time to make sure I was comfortable, they still completed everything faster than expected. Dr. Kwame's technique when administering the numbing injections is truly unmatched--I didn't feel a thing! The level of care starts the moment you walk through the door. The front desk staff always greet you with warm smiles and genuinely make you feel welcome. After the numbness wore off that evening, I realized my new crown needed a slight adjustment. I texted their after-hours number, and first thing the next morning I received a kind response apologizing for my discomfort and offering me an immediate appointment. When I arrived, Glennese brought me back within minutes, Dr. Kwame made the adjustment in just a few minutes, and I was on my way feeling so much better. Glennese is undoubtedly one of the most compassionate people I've had the pleasure of meeting, and Dr. Kwame's skill, patience, and attention to patient comfort are second to none. I've been a patient at Complete Comfort Dental for years, and experiences like this are exactly why I continue to trust them with my dental care. There are only 3 things that I am truly passionate about in life: My God, My Family, and my health practitioners. I only have one God and one family, but I've had a plethora of health care practitioners in my lifetime. I only review what I consider the best 5% and the worst 5% of these businesses because all of the rest are ones that I try to avoid. When you walk into Comfort Dental, the first thing you notice is the extremely clean and bright waiting room. But only once on my several visits did I have time to look around before I was cheerfully greeted by the reception staff. They had me fill out my registration online, so I was almost totally checked in. Within a minute the dental assistant was at the door waiting to escort me to an examination room. She took an x-ray and gave a brief explanation of what the doctor was planning for my visit. She then went to get Dr.Salud. Within 5 minutes he entered the room and must have sensed my anxiety because he started talking about Chicago sports (a nice way to make me feel more comfortable). He explained the exact procedure (he was making 2 front teeth in his office and should have them ready in a week or two). When I came back to have them permanently attached in my mouth, I couldn't have been more pleased with the results. I actually don't mind having my picture taken now. The cost was very reasonable, and the receptionist helped with all the financials. Bottom line: I still have my God. I still have my family. And hopefully, I now have my dentist! Went to Dr. Salud a few years ago with a dental emergency. The staff could not be more accommodating. Staff went above and beyond to help me with dental insurance issues, I ended up paying substantially less for top-notch, pain-free dental work. They have a dental assistant there who had a very unique technique of giving novocaine injections that she told me learned while in the military, first time ever I received injections without feeling the needle going in. Amazing! I moved a considerable distance from the area and went to see another dentist locally which was a long, costly and terrible experience. I went back to Dr. Salud for a second opinion during the nightmarish experience I was having with my local dentist and he not only saw me but also confirmed the issues I was having so I was able to to get my local dentist to re-do the work properly on my expensive dental appliance. Dr. Salud did this eval free of charge. I did a quick internet search to make another appointment I saw all of the negative reviews and felt compelled to leave mine. I am literally going to travel about 40 miles to see Dr. Salud because of the excellent care and professional experience he and his entire staff have provided me over the years. read more

Are you a businessman or a Dentist? Seems like a businessman to me. Always pushing unnecessary treatments or services. Insists my son needs braces and tried to push Invisalign on us. I took my son to an Orthodontist who says the braces are not necessary. Then, Dr Salud screwed up my husbands crown, and now he needs a root canal! Also, the last time I was there he says I was 'on the verge of periodontal disease' and need treatment for it but, this time says nothing? His hygienist even said my teeth are perfect. The other hygienist is always trying to push fluoride treatments on us. I need a Dentist NOT a salesman! Finding a new dentist ASAP! read more

They also told me that I have periodontal disease and tried to up-sell me on everything. My current dentist said that I definitely do not have periodontal disease. They owe me money too after a billing mistake with insurance. I think what they do is make you pay out of pocket and then bill your insurance. read more

The women that run this place are the worst. The called and argued that my insurance info that I filled out on line was in correct. They had no phone numbers from my cards and called the wrong number. I called back and they wouldn't take the right number and kept putting me on hold. I show up to my appointment and they gave my appointment to someone else. They are lazy which is typical. They want to check your insurance so they can charge you for as many thing that they can. read more

Worst dentist office I've ever been to! I replied to a mailing I received for $89 for a cleaning and exam about 6 months ago. I basically paid $89 just for the exam and for them to try and up sell me on everything. After an hour of getting an exam she starts brushing my teeth, I said are you going to do a real cleaning she said no this is it. So i basically paid $89 just for an exam. I could of stayed home and saved $89 and brushed my own teeth. So upon leaving they gave me a quote of almost $3000 of things I need done. So i went to another dentist for a second opinion and got a real cleaning and a few fillings for WAY less! They are a joke and try to sell u on things u don't need! read more

I will not be going back. I recently had an implant done, it was loose. He looked it over and said, yeah it's loose. Then said, let's see what happens. Basically wanted to send me home with a loose implant that cost a lot of money. Oh and since going here every one of my crowns broke and needed to be replaced. Coincidence, I think so. read more

Going to a dentist you always have a fear that they are going to tell you that you need something done when you really don't. Well that's what happened to me at this office. Dr.Salud told me it was "very necessary" for my fillings to be taken out and new ones put in. I didn't have any problems or pain. I was told if I didn't do this that I would have bigger problems in the future. So I listened and it caused me multiple root canals and crowns!! Emergency root canals to be exact, I was in the office constantly! Of course my bill was thousands of dollars for all the procedures. I'm embarrassed to say that I got scammed and should have known better. I've spoke to people who've worked in his office and admitted that he would push things on patients that you don't need done. I wish I would've know this before getting all the work done. Another thing I've noticed there is the dental hygienist and front desk staff and always changing... makes you wonder. In my opinion, Upselling is a problem, laser cleaning is not endorsed by the ADA. Came in to fix a loose cap on a tooth. Talked me into getting another one, porcelain only for a back molar? The cap would not stay on either tooth and now his porcelain one has broken. In my opinion, expensive and skill level is lacking. read more

Went to this dentist because he was part of my insurance group. Very very expensive for just cleaning total was $1431.00. Yes they did laser cleaning. Insurance paid $800. Our portion was $600. When they called to set up another appt, I said they were too expensive. Gentlemen blamed my insurance and was very rude. Not everything was covered either. read more

STOP! STOP!! STOP!!!! Stop now while you can! Unless you just have lots of time to spend filing complaints . Is a star lit up ? Only because it's mandatory! I sent my husband to this office only because it was in our insurance network. What a tremendous mistake! I have to ask is this actually an accredited and trained in America dental professional? Believe me considering all.... it is a fair question! We should wonder about the one positive review . Because my question is.....is this a front for fraud? It's a good question considering I've made multiple, multiple calls there. When I did reach someone they said Tracy, their billing person was not in. Another time Tracy answered the phone but said she had no time to speak to me & would call back, she never did. I've made no less than eight calls to the office all during business hours .I think My # was added to their [ DO NOT ANSWER ] call list. What legitimate Business office refuses to discuss your bill with you? They double billed our insurance at least twice.One was claiming three teeth were pulled but only two were in actuality . And he still has the tooth to prove it! Actually he mentioned this when he was leaving the office & saw it & one of the ladies in the front office said "yes we caught that mistake.But they still billed the insurance for it and us. So actually they owe the insurance company money back too. They charged our insurance for charges NOT on our bill & billed us what insurance said was part of another fee paid. By the way he almost pulled my husband's face off ....my husband said he's never been in such pain before....and refuses to return.The 4 times he went in they charged us $100/$129.20/&153.88/$246.60 . Now they're claiming we owe them more although our insurance claims that they owe us money back. We are filing a complaints with the insurance company (that is mailing us a grievous form,)the Better Business Bureau, The Illinois Dental Commission & presenting all of our information to our credit card company . Fortunately I have all my insurance papers, all of my receipts and the {crazy seemingly designed to confuse the patient} bill with multiples of the wrong charges. Yesterday I filed a dispute of Charges with one of our Credit card companies....a little less than $300. My husband got a call from "Complete Comfort" Dental which left a voice mail saying that they are going to audit our account. I don't know what that means because no one has attempted to discussed the account with us. I know according to my insurance they have more of my money than we actually owe them..... Although they were trying to bill us even above the $629.60 we have already paid . If someone in that office calls me , treats me with respect, corrects their billing & reimburses what they owe us.... I Will add an addendum to this review. Perhaps The dentist is unaware that he has bad management in the office...we will see. STAY AWAY!!! I have been trying to give them the benefit of the doubt for the past year, but not anymore! Customer service is AWFUL. The front desk is rude and totally unaccommodating. First they cancelled my cleaning appointment when I was 10 minutes late because I was stuck in horrible traffic, after calling to let them know they told me not to bother coming in. They demand payment without notifying you what your insurance will and will not cover so be prepared to pay, and when my daughter tried to go there today for a cleaning they turned her away because I was not there after coming for the last year on her own! All of this after Dr. Salud performed a root canal on me on a perfectly healthy tooth, it was actually the tooth next to it that was bad so now I have 2 crowns! You would think I would get the royal treatment after not suing him for malpractice, but nope. I have been to this dentist twice. He is fine, but his office staff is another story. They forgot to bill my insurance and did nothing with it until I went back. They told me it was my fault that they did not bill. I paid almost $200 and told them to reimburse me when the insurance company paid. Yesterday I got a call stating that I owe an additional $100. Tries to upsell a lot of services. Brought my child there with a bad toothache and was told part of the service wasn't covered under both of my insurances and if couldn't pay the cost at that exact moment that we could leave and come back. Called the one of insurances while I was there & was told it was covered. The office said I could pay them and get reimbursed by my insurance. VERY money hungry. Willing to send a patient away with a toothache who has double insurance because they made up a procedure that wasn't covered. Good dentist but lousy billing practices. read more

NO Stars!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME ON THIS PLACE! They over charge and refuse to refund over payments. We have been trying to get our money back for months. We went to the office with proof that our insurance covered our over charged dental work and the lady still refused to give our money back. An hour after leaving the office with nothing resolved I received a phone call from Channahon Police. The secretary, Tracy, filed false accusations on me. Tracy eleged that I threatened to slap and beat her, which was false and I am no longer allowed on the property. If this is the way they handle business so they do not have to give money back, this is horrible. We stopped going to this dentist month ago because of double claims to insurance, over charging, always paying hundreds out of pocket, and unprofessional secretary. I went to Complete Comfort Dental after not having been to the dentist for 2 years. I was having some pain and issues with my gums so I knew I had the beginning stages of periodontal disease, so I was not surprised when they confirmed this. Per my insurance, I had to do the treatment in two stages, which I would have rather done all at one time, but they would not allow it. I went in to have the first treatment done and Audrey, the hygienist, was amazing. She was very friendly and very gentle.....this procedure that I thought was going to be so horrible was virtually pain free. I just had the second procedure done and once again, Audrey was amazing!! I am very happy with my decision to go there and think the staff is great. I haven't had any problems getting answers to questions or with insurance! I will definitely be going back!! read more

Started a YELP account just to post this ... never had a cavity since I was 10 (I'm 43 now). Always had glowing check-ups. Come to this doctor, all of a sudden I need 2 cavities filled, need to remove the silver in my mouth because I have 3 cracks and in desperate need of 3 crowns!! . He scared me into one of the crowns, and a year later it does nothing but hurt. While getting the crown put in, he was giving me a shot of Novocaine, hit a nerve so hard that I literally jumped from my chair. No apology from the dentist, he just left the room. Finally, a few minutes later he came back in and said he was sorry. Terrible experiences, I do not recommend this dentist. read more

If I had read these reviews before I would have saved myself hundreds of dollars for treatments that I did not need and/or were not covered by my insurance. I was told by Dr Salud that I had periodontal disease, a cavity and a cracked tooth--ALL of which my second-opinion dentist told me that I DO NOT have. Thank goodness I heeded my suspicions about this quack and didn't continue any further with their recommendations before they took even more of my money. Scam artists for sure. I had gone to this dentist since they opened. I had had no problems with my husband or myself or our insurance. Recently, my daughter (age 8) needed work done. It was a raving DISASTER! May be a good dentist for adults, but surely lacks bedside manners or respect for children. I will NEVER step foot in this place again. Yeah, his dental assistants are nice and all, but add in his front desk help and him into the equation and you'll want to run for the hills. They're always trying to get you to pay for things you already paid for because they "forgot to put it in the computer". They even "forgot" to send my mothers false teeth in to get fixed. She showed up the day they told her they would be in and was told to come back. Not only that, they said if the teeth come back and they don't fit, then there's nothing they could do.
