Over the course of a 1.5 week project, I would hear the crew chatting with each other and it seemed like they enjoy working together too. I reached out to about 10 contractors for quotes and Juan's bid was in the mid-range. From the first walk-through, he was knowledgable and asked questions to help me understand what my options are. Unlike some others, he was never pushy and that made me feel more comfortable about working together going forward. He estimated that the entire project (leveling the backyard, building a short wall, French drain, and adding gravel) would take 2 weeks and they finished ahead of schedule. I am so happy to finally have a usable, outdoor space! If I ever want to do more with the hill, I will use KB Landscape for sure.

The crew installed all the plants, decomposed granite, and irrigation perfectly. Our architect also commented that she really liked the crew and that Juan in particular was very knowledgeable. Not to mention Juan is just a really nice guy and was open to the small changes we had to make as we were doing installation. In total it took three weeks to complete the entire project. His crew was great and Juan also works with them, he doesn't just only project manage. He was here all day nearly every day with the crew. It's a small company but they do great work, pay attention to detail like grading, and clean up after themselves every day. They did such a good job, after he finished we asked him to help redo a fence later as well and also continue to come biweekly to maintain the yard.

What was previously moss, weeds, and more recently gopher holes is now beautifully a maintained lawn. He also updated up our sprinkler timing and makes sure each week that the grass is getting enough water still and has adjusted it as needed. But....I hit gold with JoseLuis. Not only did they return my calls promptly but they immediately scheduled a consult and came on time! Jose works with Lupe, who manages the business side. Both of them are a dream to work with. Their crew are fabulous. They come on time (in fact sometimes early!), work fast and leave everything neat and tidy. Jose and Lupe listened to what we wanted, provided suggestions and expertise. We had an idea for a type of alternative lawn that would have been much more expensive for the back. Jose let us know that it would not work well and we would not be happy in the long run. He recommended a less expensive alternative and he was spot on! I shared pictures of landscaping that I got from Pinterest and Jose took my ideas and brought them to life. The front yard was done with beautiful plants and rocks in a design we just love. The best thing was that Jose was not happy until we were happy. In the back yard, Jose and his crew replaced our dead lawn/dirt with a new, higher quality and more drought tolerant lawn as well as put in mulch, removed dead plants and replaced our dead maple tree with a lovely new one.
