Immediately after it happened, the owner of the business called me directly, offered many apologies, and offered me 50% off the rebooked service. They said the P.A .does the same as an MD with a full body examination. I explained P.A. stands for physical assistant, not a dermatologist. When I said I would like to see the actual dermatologist, I was told that would be an additional 2 month wait on top of an already 4 month wait to see a P.A. This was never disclosed upfront. The clinic is staffed almost entirely by PAs with only one MD. If you want to see an actual board-certified dermatologist, expect a significant additional wait that they will not mention unless you specifically ask. I also asked about appointment reminders and was told I would receive one a day or two before the actual appointment. I will be going elsewhere where I am treated with respect, and honesty. The woman that answered the phone was very disrespectful, patronizing and just plain rude to me!!!

I think of what I had done - seems to me quite minor compared to the work this group performs more broadly - and am grateful they take on "smaller" projects.
