I had water damage to my phone & I was unsure Comprite could fix it. The screen glitched out & got fuzzy & even blacked out at times. The charger wouldn't fit in the port anymore. However, after a short phone call, they told me to bring it in. I brought my phone in at the beginning of the day & picked it up at the end of the day. It was like water never touched it. The only thing is the price was never determined due to not knowing how much damage there had been done. I wasn't told how much I owed until after the fix which left me no option but to pay it. However, my phone feels brand new so I feel I shouldn't complain! It was wonderful work, especially for same-day repair. They called right at the time they promised they would. Dropped my cell phone off this afternoon. Bob called and told me proximity sensor got broke when screen broke but they went ahead and fixed it for no charge. He said they like to treat customers like family. I pick it up in the morning and will update. He sounded very concerned about making sure product is fixed perfectly. UPDATE. After they worked on my phone, the reception is very poor. My fiance's phone is same make, purchased same time and works so much better. When I have -118 reception, she has -81. Huge difference. Most of the time, I can no longer get reception. After finding out my phone no longer works most of the time out of the Portland metro area, I changed this to one star. 5 stars for being friendly and nice. 1 star for ruining my phone. Second time that I have gone to this shop for iPhone repair. They provide fast quality service. This last time my iPhone 5c had its screen broken, I got quoted at two other shops $149.00. Decided to make the trip back up to comprite since my first experience had been a good one. They fixed my phone for $119.00 and threw in a free screen protector. I can't recommend CompRite enough. I took my wife's PC here after it just all together quit working. The diagnostic was quick and the price was beyond fair, the parts and labor was less than I could find the part for sale online. Once the initial repair was made additional problems were found, while it did take longer than initially expected they did not try to bump up the price and stuck to what I had initially paid even though the problem was more extensive than thought. I have been going to them for over four years and they treat me like family. I have also noticed many of the other people there are return customers with the same feeling as me. I got a used I-phone during one of my many different buying experiences and it gave me a hard time after I left. I went back days later and of course the phone was not doing the same thing as after I left, as electronics often do but CompRite still exchanged it for a different phone with no questions asked. They also did not charge me any extra fees. They will always hook you up with extras like charging cords and screen covers with little to no cost. This is a must go to place. In my experience this is the only place to go when dealing with electronics. One last thing if you have an outdated computer they can change the guts at a much smaller cost than buying a new one. I took my iPhone into get the cracked screen replaced. They did it the same day, then also gave me a new case, screen protector, and charging cable. My phone was not responding to my touch for several hours so I called in to report the problem, and they said come bring it back in and they would fix it. I have had (2) iphone's repaired at CompRite. The first was a shattered screen on an iphone 5S about 2 years ago. The cost was minimal compared to a new phone and I had it back in about 2 - 4 hours. The 2nd was replacement of a battery on an iphone 6 that was not holding a charge. Again, the cost of the battery replacement through CompRite was less than the payoff of my account and a new phone, and I had it back in two hours. I just went in to get my iphone 4 fixed (the screen was black and no tips I found online were helpful-turns out a part needed replacing). They charged me $79, a base fee, And had the phone back to me the same day (I came in originally right when they opened). They were very friendly and I'm quite happy that my phone is working again. $79 is a little expensive, which is why I didn't give them 5 stars, but it is pretty compatible with all the other stores in the area I looked at. read more

I had my desktop fixed and it is working. It started with a self rebooting (unstable) followed by blue screen of death. The first was related to bad sector, and the second was my motherboard was not reading all my RAM chips. Comprite charged me $109 for the first work, but only charged my $40 for the second fix (cost difference to go from 2GB to 4GM RAM chips as a cost effective work around to motherboard). The crew there is friendly, cares about the customer, and sees that the work is done properly with reasonable cost. The cost of the service and parts seems reasonable for the work they did, for they charge me as if the second problem was caught at the first inspection. But whether it should have, or it was a latent problem, the cost remains the same either case. Now that is good customer service. read more

Well I was disappointed. When I spoke to the manager on the phone he assured me that they would come out to my house for x amount of dollars and solve two problems that I was having. While they did solve one problem, they didn't solve the other and also ended up selling me a new wireless router that was supposed to fix the second problem, but didnt. When I told them I felt it was poor customer service and I would not use them again, I was told that "if they were in my area again, they could stop by and take another look". Bottom line I paid for two services and received one. Even when the tech called the manager from my house to see if he could charge me less, he was told no. Update 2014: john's review below is slander. I paid for their service, only stopped payment when they wanted to charge me for services they didn't perform. My original request was for virus removal and to get xbox working through the router. The tech did the virus removal then SOLD me a new router which did not solve the xbox problem. I brought my HP DreBeats laptop to Comprite for some repairs to the base and keyboard. Paul greeted me as I walked into the store and immediately evaluated my laptop. Within 10 minutes I received an estimate for repairs that came with a two year warranty. I opted to go ahead with the repairs and asked Paul if my laptop could be ready the following morning since I would be traveling out of town. He guaranteed that it would be ready the next day and I could pick it up in the morning. I received a call the next day in the morning from their staff letting me know my laptop was ready for pickup. When I arrived Paul remembered who I was and immediately retrieved my laptop. He showed me their repairs and I could not be happier! Comprite was able to fix my HP laptop when Bestbuy could not - even when I purchased their warranty to the tune of $298!!! I received fast service. The competition could only send off my laptop to repair with no guarantees - with a turnaround time of three weeks. I went in today and get my computer's hard drive extracted. I knew my computer was ancient and it was out of date. It was from 2009. So they would wave the fee if we gave them the lap top. So we did and we're glad to do so. They said it would be done no later then 4pm. Which is also when they close. So we did some Christmas shopping and lost track of time. When I called to see what the hours were for the next day, they answered! They told me if I were to get there within the next 10min they would hold the door for me. When we arrived I was greeted by a man named Paul who helped me out earlier in the day he then went to the back to get my hard drive. I assumed that they would be in a rush for me to get out of there. But we actually talked for about 5-10min. He seemed to want to get to know me and not just rush me out to get to the next customer. So I was sitting in my living room hanging out one day and I see a silver and black flash out of the corner o my eye quickly followed by a crash. I pretty much knew right away that while my 4 year old was walking up the stairs he dropped our iPad from the second story. Despite a spider web of glass the iPad seemed to still be working. I took the shattered iPad into the guys at comp rite and the owner Paul was there to help. He told me he's never seen anything that bad that's still working but that he would do what he could. In no time I got a call from Paul telling me he got the parts and that my iPad would be ready for pickup. This is the third time I've had a repair done by these guys and every time they have saved my bacon. These guys operate with integrity so you don't need to be worried about shady computer repairs.
