I came here around 9:00 AM, and it was already pretty packed with people working on their laptops. They have a long communal table that's perfect for solo workers, and throughout the day, people come and go, so it's usually possible to move around if you need a little more space. Inside, they offer Wi-Fi, a restroom, and, most importantly, plenty of outlets. I really appreciated how easy it was to find a place to plug in. Ordering at the counter was simple and straightforward. They offer all the classic café drinks, and this time I went with my usual hot Americano. At $3.50, I thought it was very reasonably priced. I also noticed some fun specialty drinks, like a raspberry matcha, along with a few seasonal offerings. They have pastries available as well if you're looking for a snack while you work. Visited this coffee shop a Thursday morning at around 8AM. The spot was a bit busy, but there were a few tables opened and the line was on the short side (2 folks before me). I was in and out in around 5-10min. I ordered the maple cinnamon latte and the triple ginger scone. The maple cinnamon latte was DELICIOUS. The sweetness of the maple balance perfectly with the cinnamon. I had never heard of the ginger scone before, so I decided to give it a try and it was surprisingly very good. I was scared that the flavor of the ginger would overpower the sweetness of the scone, but quite the opposite. It had the spiciness of the ginger and the sweetness of the scone. This Compton's Coffee House is located in North Beach. Inside it has a mix of digital nomads , locals, and tourist. It is a good place to have coffee and pastries. Big fan of Comptons here! I usually stop in roughly every other week to get a chai or raspberry matcha. Sometimes a lemon poppy seed muffin if they still have some! Everyone who works here is super nice from the interactions I've had and always has a smile on their face! Typically clean and filled with people doing work during the week but can get pretty crowded on the weekends sometimes. I have heard some complaints that lattes need an extra shot here and that your drink quality really depends on who is making it. But overall the drink quality is pretty consistent when I come in. After seeing holiday drinks on instagram, i finally made my way over here and I'm definitely gonna be back! Comptons is spacious with a lot of tables, restrooms, and a nice vibe overall! Great space to work from! I was taking a stroll in the area & decided to stop by Compton's for my coffee fix. They gots lots of syrups to choose from and milk alternatives cost $0.75. I got the lavender latte & vanilla latte. The vanilla latte was the better one. Their vanilla syrup blends well with the oat milk and was frothed very nicely. The lavender latte was a little disappointing. Most coffee shops don't carry lavender on its menu so when it's available, I always get it. Compton's version tasted a little too floral for my liking & had that fake syrupy taste if you know what I mean. I do wish the coffee was stronger though. Overall, highly recommend if you need to quiet workspace with lots of outlets. Not your superb artisanal coffee but does the trick! There was no line and I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. Sometimes I'm a black coffee and don't take my sunglasses off. Sometimes I'm the iced raspberry matcha (try it you'll see) and leave a few euros I have leftover from my cruise as a tip so they think im quirky and cool. Stopped here a few weeks ago when traveling for work. The matcha tea was delicious and so was the danish that I ordered. It was freezing in the cafe because they kept the door open the whole time we were there, so taking off one star because of that. I wish they had a larger selection of pastries too.
