I have been going to this location for about 15 plus years now & have always had great service. They have fixed my desk top several times & when I had a house flood, built me a new better one for a decent cost. When I travel, I always take my HP laptop. It needed a few fixes & when I took it in Gareth told me that everything was out of date & could add much more memory & upgrades for a few hundred bucks. I didn't want to buy a new one since I only use it a few times a year and decided to go ahead. When I went away for the holidays last year, the screen kept giving me some odd response and would not come on at all. I took it back when I got home & they repaired it at no charge. I have not touched it since except 2 weeks ago when I needed to go away, so I got it it out to make sure it was working... Same odd message came up on my screen when I did & was leaving that day so I called their office again. I now know they have another location & are only in during the afternoon hours, so they will only respond to a text. There was no way to get it fixed prior. Gareth told me to bring it back when I get home so I did. For some reason it could not be repaired, so they offered me a different rebuilt Dell one. They were able to transfer all my information over & made it right with me. Time will tell for sure the next time I go away....be sure to pet Ms. Kitty when you are there! The only reason I am giving them 4 instead of 5 stars is for the inconvenience of not having my laptop for work when I went away & having to rent one to do so. I have taken my computer here only twice but I was extremely happy both times. This time I took my computer to Friendly Computers in Centennial Hills first. My computer was running slowly and they charged me $99.99 to "clean up" my system. It ran better for a little while and then after a while windows wouldn't load anymore. I took it back and they wanted to charge me $169.99 this time. I was assured both times that both of my hard drives were healthy. I didn't pay the $169.99, I took it to CompuDoc. They charged me $55.00 and informed me that my 2nd hard drive was bad. As soon as they disconnected it, my system was fine. It is running faster than ever. Stressed out & getting an extension for my taxes because my computer had a virus.. I had made an appointment with the "geek squad" to take my laptop in for repairs, they quoted me $200. I went on Yelp to call around to see if I could get a less expensive price. COMPUDOC was the second company that I called, they quoted me a better price and they were just off the 95 on Jones. I took it in within the hour and I had my laptop back the following day. I was also having problems with Adobe and they fixed that too. There was no upcharge on parts and they charged a reasonable rate for labor. When I got home, I ran into an unexpected problem and the guys were very helpful on the phone. Wow, what phenomenal customer service! After a couple of months noticing my laptop was getting slower and slower upon turning on and slower and slower to maneuver between programs and slower and slower for a task upon hitting return etc......I took my laptop to Compudoc and said HELP! After the diagnostic.......hard drive was operating at 10% capacity (and I was thinking too many programs loaded or something I had done or was doing). Normally I would have bought a new laptop upon thinking was wrong. This time I had confidence in Gareth that this fairly new laptop would be in great working order like a new one once replacing the hard drive......and it is if not better! Gareth knows his stuff and is very fair and clear on fees and repair! My PC crashed and could not be booted up no matter what I tried. I called and brought my PC to Compudoc's shop. Gareth explained to me the diagnostic process and when I called back he explained to me that my PC was overheating and damaged one of the two memory chips. Eventually a clean-up was done, the bad chip removed. It now runs without a hitch on 4GB, and without the high-speed pitching noise from the fan. It was a scary experience (my last backup was done a year ago!) and Gareth did a superb job fixing the problem and saved my day. Highly recommended for anyone having PC issues. For sure this shop is going to be my IT support in Vegas. read more
