Often, we have had zero response during critical downtime and have incurred outside charges for issues related to computant. I have been using aloha point of sale pos system for 4 years. All I can say is they all about money money and money... Everytime you got a tech problems... U have to prepaid for the service hours($900 for 6 or 8 hours) first before they fix your problems...Anyway... Long story short... Got burglarized 1 month ago at my restaurant... Terrible service! Don't get trapped into Itabs pos or anything this company offers! They call you everyday to sell you their services and after you sign they don't even return your call until maybe 3 days later. They also charge you for phone calls, when you figure out how to fix it yourself eventually. When running a business and you need your POS system to work don't count on these guys! Terrible! We tried to support a "local" business but ended up paying a lot of unnecessary fees and costs for a POS system that lost us a lot of sales because their system was not working or connecting. It doesn't matter if it's the iPads Bluetooth, why don't you make your own tablet that doesn't disconnect so much, after paying thousands and thousands of dollars for the system you should not have to deals with these type of problems. My company uses Computant/Datanet Pacific for their managed IT services. We have been a client of theirs for over a year now and have been extremely happy with them! We received multiple quotes and visited with several local IT companies and consultants, but Francis and Stan swept us off our feet when they came to visit our healthcare facility. We weren't just worried about cost, we wanted the right personality fit as well. It's extremely important for our organization to work with people we feel comfortable with and trust. Everyone we have worked with is extremely helpful and patient when trying to troubleshoot over the phone. They will always work with you remotely before going on site to diagnose a problem. I especially appreciate the fact that there is never any up selling. When I am up in arms and ask "can we just buy this from you?" Their Sales Director Stan will tell me, "yes, but it may be more cost effective if you take this route". This shows me they care and will not sell you anything you don't need or can find cheaper elsewhere. All things considered, prices are at a competitive rate, their staff members are very professional, and they are there for you when you need them. Went to a downtown business to fix a computer that Computant was supposed to be monitoring. When I called Computant they still did not get back to me on a password to get into the system. They still did not get back to me and it has been over 2 days now. We removed the password and replaced it with one the owner knows and has on file now. Purchased a "complete retail pos system" from them a few months back. The CounterPoint software has been a huge upgrade over our last os. The 15" touchscreen could be bigger but that's our fault for not going witht he 19". But the defining piece is teh free tech support. We do the online tutorials for each of our new hires.
