First of all, if you guys are comparing Computer Clinic Service to other competitors such as Affinity Computers, Best Buy Geek Squad Or PC Richard (some Toshiba Authorized Repair shop in VA, I ask please don't compare CCS (Computer Clinic Service to others. If anyone is interested in the bulletproof evidence, then please ask me because I have all the invoices, and all my repairs from A-Z other places and work that they have done to my laptops/desktops/tablets. First of all, I never ever believed in computer clinic or shops like Affinity Computers, etc. Just didn't. Last year, I purchased $200-$250 bundle package from Best Buy for their Geek Squad services. I took my HP All in PC touchsmart, it was a simple task, I asked them to re-install Windows 7 Home Premium on it, took them 5 days, in the end. I took it home, wow, the whole house was full of smell, Best Buy burned my PC fan. Second time, I took a Samsung Tablet $1499.99 worth just to install second time Windows 7 professional. 3 Days passed by, they couldn't able to install it. When I went to pick up the tablet, they lost my Samsung Original Windows 7 installation CD, What a waste on Geek Squad services, will never go back to Best Buy for Geek Squad services. Then, I googled for computer shops nearby, went to Affinity Computers, luckily, they had optical drive for my laptop and sure, they did a good job in installing it for me for free without any additional charge. But when I went to them for second time for repairing my Apple Macbook Air original air for a bad hinge. Are you guys ready, they quoted me $300 for a minor hinge replacement. Are you guys ready whom, I then went to get that fixed and how much it cost me to get it fixed. I then finally gave a try to Computer Clinic Service off of Route 7, oh boy, what a VIP service that they provided to me. They gave me a whopping $75 quotation for the hinge replacement. Since, I wasn't in a hurry, I got that back I m guessing within 1 week because I didn't give them a specific date. As long I was satisfied with the price quotation. I took my Apple Macbook Pro laptop to Apple Genius bar for the reason, my laptop wasn't turning on.. I scheduled the appointment, some Pakistani guy at Reston Town Centre location, wasn't really polite to me. When he went back to inspect or diagnose the root of the issue or the cause of the problem, when he returned back, he gave me 2-3 options quoting me $125, $225, $350 (I believe, $350 was for motherboard/battery replacement). I just brought the laptop back and contacted another shop in Chantilly, no longer exist but I had few friends there very loyal with me (became my very good friends) I called that shop, and the main guy (my friend), when I told him the symptoms, he knew right then, what the issue was, he said most probably the laptop battery cable must have gotten lose, so just reset it. I did exactly that, I removed the battery, and removed the battery cable from its connector and re-connected the battery cable to its connector, and re-inserted the battery and turned the macbook pro and BOOM, it turned on. In conclusion, If you don't know have IT skills, of course anyone would try to quote you much higher prices in repairing. Not only that, but you know sometimes, we end up missing what's coming in future for our computing issues, so experts like Computer Clinic Service can diagnose and oversee any incoming issues and tell you "okay there will by an additional cost for such such issue. Since, I got turned down from Best Buy & Affinity Computers, (1 year ago) I have been taking my computing needs to Computer Clinic of Sterling. Another story I can share with general public. It regards the Best Buy order. When I got turned down from Best Buy Geek Squad technicians, I had to fulfill my order to my own client. I was running out of my time for shipping my order to my client, I called Computer Clinic and spoke with David, the owner and explained my story of Best Buy Geek Squad services, and explained how it's very urgent and I need it by tonight. I handed my Samsung tablet to David around 4:15 or 4:45pm and guess what David closes his shop at 7 or 7:30pm, he stayed over his normal hours and he called me to inform me it's almost ready to be picked up it was about 8:35, when he called me. I arrived around 9pm and even after that he had to install the leftover drivers and clean it up. I shook his hands and thanked him multiple times and said to him, that he doesn't have to worry about getting business because I will be his frequent and repeated client for all my computing needs. I only shared 2 stories that took place first somewhere else then I took same issues over to Computer Clinic and BOOM the prices I got quoted flew right off my head, David instantly caught my attention to be his repeated customer. I'm not a big money client, as I use older laptops in my stage show for MIDI sequencing, which is playing backing tracks to simulate a band sound behind my solo voice and guitar. Our son knocked the laptop off a high counter top. The impact with the floor broke the hard drive. Foolishly, we had not backed up the hard drive in sometime. We lost thousands of pictures, videos and documents, including all of the photos of our youngest child (we had not backed up since he had been born). To say the least, I was devastated. After a recommendation from a neighbor, we took the computer into the Computer Clinic. The cost to diagnosis and replace our hard drive was a FRACTION OF THE COST compared to some of the bigger name repair places. After a few days, the guys were able to recover about a third of the pictures and many of them were corrupted. I was glad to have some, but heartbroken to think I might have lost the rest. I called the owner sobbing. He told me he wasn't giving up and promised to keep working on it (this is AFTER we paid him in full). A few more days went by and I now EVERY LAST PRECIOUS VIDEO AND PHOTO IS RESTORED. He did not ask for another dime, simply issued a much-warranted lecture on the importance of backing up our files. My old Toshiba Tecra had an inoperative DVR/CD drive, an unsupported (and error filled) Windows XP operating system and numerous malware infections. I convinced myself that the only path forward was to buy a new computer. Well, David Dastan at Computer Clinic (Sterling) took my old Tecra and returned to me a well operating laptop computer. David fixed the DVR/CD drive, removed all malware and upgraded the operating system to Windows 7. He accomplished everything he said he would, and he did it ON COST and ON SCHEDULE! My experience is very close to Torkwase's experience. I also noticed the Computer Clinic while driving by on my way home. I stopped in to see if they could repair my Dell laptop. Dell told me that my computer was dead, done, non-repairable. The store owner, David took a look at my computer and said, let's see what we can do. He was very positive that all would be well. David was able to save my hard drive and copy it to an external hard drive. My wonderful husband, Lamb was going to buy me a new Dell computer but we were able to get an excellent laptop for a really great price at the Computer Clinic to download my data from my hard drive. Computer clinic has always rescued me, and my computer never lasted there a day unless i am the one who can't come back to pick it up. David is a computer genius and always ready to help me out. The first time I walked into their office, I was coming back from BestBuy where I was told to pay a ridiculous price in order for them to fix my computer, so I was thinking that computer clinic will just maybe go a little less than the BestBuy price, but to my surprise they charged me three times less than what I was told at BestBuy, and in one day my computer was brand new, and they even install an antivirus for free. I am responsible for over 200 locations across the country, and have a stream of warranty and non-warranty work -- drops, coffee, ice cream, overheating, component failures. Nasty software problems. These guys are great. They are a small, locally run business that gives great service and takes care of you immediately. You come in the door and you are talking directly to one of the technician/owners within a minute. They did a great job of fixing my computer and they will give you a break on stuff if you do business with them. After I got my laptop fixed there they gave me a deal on an i-phone 6s and threw in a screen cover for free. If you are a good customer they will take care of you. I had a Microsoft technician do some work on my computer after they had done some other work and the technician was impressed with the way that Computer Clinic had done their work. I brought my completely laptop in on the Friday before Labor Day. It would not stay on, or boot up and was completely unusable. It is vital to my livelihood, so I really wanted to know whether it could be fixed and I wanted to know that day. If it couldn't be fixed I was prepared to buy another one. Initially, I was told I would hear back that day or the following. I'm afraid I was grumpier than I should have been and basically said I needed to know that day. I was promised a phone call by the end of the day. At about 2:30 I was called and told I need to have 2 parts replaced and the cost, which was reasonable and that I could have the computer back by 4:00. I was having issues with a desktop. David, the owner worked to solve the problem. His priority was definitely focused on solving the problem for me in the most economical manner. I brought a 5-year-old HP Pavillion to them a few weeks ago, and I couldn't be happier with their customer service and quality of work. I knew exactly what I wanted and they delivered. Way better than the Rip-Off Suad that sent me on a wild goose chase before I decided to bring it to Computer Clinic. As for the $90 fee for "not fixing anything," that's called a diagnostic fee. They're not going to work for free, and troubleshooting PC issues can be very time consuming. That's a standard fee for the service industry. Long story short, take your broken PC to these guys. Excellent service! Excellent work! I came-in with a Windows Update problem. I showed David the problem; he knew how to fix it--told me what the problem was, what he would do to repair it, and that it would be ready in 2-hr. Then, asked would I like to settle the bill now or later...and the bill was soo affordable. He gave me a claim ticket and 2hrs later gave me a call that my computer was repaired. And my computer problem was a walk-in visit. (And my computer seems to work faster than when I brought it in for repairs.) This is absolutely the BEST computer repair shop I have ever used. They are knowledgeable, reasonably priced (in fact, better prices than you can get ordering the parts yourself), and HONEST. And they do WONDERFUL work on Apple products!! I can't begin to tell you how great the experience was going there. I had better repairs on a MacBook than going to Apple. I needed my macbook pro checked, I find them trough google, they did find the problem quick,it was the motherboard they gave me many options to choose from I ended up giving them the bad motherboard to get a discount on the new one wich it was very affordable, they fixed it over night and the owner even gave me a brand new power supply for free since the one I had it was damaged :) that made me very happy, I definitely recommend the place to my friends and thank for the good service I got for a price unbeatable in my opinion. read more

I was looking to purchase a used Macbook pro but the previous owner had removed the hard drive. I dropped my laptop off on a Saturday afternoon for a broken hinge and separating screen as a result of the broken hinge. The owner gave me several options for fixing it which was nice. I decided to go with the quickest option and he not only had it ready for pickup on Monday morning but the work was amazing. Talk about your local experts! Took my 2009 iMac in to see what could be done about speeding things up a bit. David discussed a number of option with me and he ended up installing a Solid State Driver (SSD). He had the part in stock and installed it the same day - and holy cow did this do the trick! He told me same day service witch did not happen because my pc had a hard drive problem that needed more time to get fixed. at first he thought all he needed to do was upgrade the os. but then he needed to add more ram and then the hard drive thing came up, but who can blame him as all he did was turn the computer on on to find the main problem. i will be taking my other computer in today to get a virus removed would very much recommend this place. read more
