He spent nearly 5 hours on it, repairing the motherboard thst was actually the cause of the damage (the copper pads were ripped). Unfortunately the board was beyond repair but he did his best and I appreciate the time he spent trying to help me save the data on the system. I brought the board with a new terminal block in and they were able to remove the old clamps and solder on the new block.
