I've taken my computer to these guys a couple three times over the last 8 years. They ALWAYS fix it up so nicely. Once I needed to take a laptop from business to personal. I didn't know how to do it. They set it up and transferred everything over. Got rid of all the programs I didn't need, even those in the background that I didn't identify. This time my computer was caught in a repair loop. Wouldn't work at all. They diagnosed the corrupted files and had it working perfectly in 24 hours after I dropped it off. Their service is white glove. My daughter kicked her laptop off her bed while sleeping and it wouldn't power on. We took it into computer works to have the hard drive backed up and he was able to open it and turn it on. Graciously suggested we take it home and back it up ourselves, let me know what it would cost if he needed to open it up and back it up and went over some of the other services they offered. 'Absolutely astounding, exceeding bright 'guys', and, of whom extend 'positive energy' to their clientele. Subsequent to a spam/hack 'strike', I could not even access my beloved HP laptop ... This is the only place you should be taking your computers for anything. Don't go to the big corporate places like MC or BBY. It's worth the extra drive even if you are a bit farther away to bring your stuff into CW. I used to work at one of those big places. And I just took a laptop in to the other one. They had no clue what to do. I was walking the tech at MC through what to do over the phone. Grabbed it back from them brought it into Dave and he had it figured out pretty quick. I was so impressed that I brought my custom build in to fix something I completely spaced on when putting it together. Glad I found this place and it's absolutely worth the drive over. If you are thinking about putting a little into a new PC, go up and see Dave and have them build it for you. They talk through what parts to order you can bring them up and have them put it together. This was the last one I'm building and in the future I'm just going to buy the parts I want and bring them up to the shop and have them assemble. You don't want to do all the cable management and stuff. Let your local friendly neighborhood shop help you out. Stay away from the big box corporate stores. read more

I have to give Computer Works a five star. The initial concern was immediately resolved and Dave quickly got my PC going. I had CW upgrade my old and failing 240GB SSD to a 1 Terabyte SSD with all the data on my old drive transferred to the new drive. All for what I thought was a very fair price. Scott at Computer Works did a great job of replacing the hard drive on my iMac at a reasonable price. He was very knowledgeable about the idiosyncrasies of the replacement for this particular model and recommended a part that saved me money. He did a seamless transfer of all of my data to the new hard drive, backing up an additional failing Time Machine drive and made it all very easy. My brother's 10 year old hard drive failed. He was hoping to save some of the data and get a new drive without too much expense. I helped him find Computer Works. He called, and they were very friendly asking him a series of questions over the phone to understand the issue. He then brought in the computer. They were able to save most of the data and replace the hard drive for about $250. That is a great price, and the customer service, speed of service, and final outcome were all fantastic. I had a nine year old MAC where the screen had cracked several years ago due to an accident and the Hard Drive recently failed rendering my computer inoperable. I had been waiting for an all new next generation MAC to come out before spending bug bucks on a new computer where this unplanned equipment failure was putting me in an unenviable position of buying a new computer I did not want . On a whim, I called Computer works and they gave me a great price for replacing the cracked screen, replacing the failed hard drive with a new latest technology hard drive and upgrading my MAC from 4 GB to 12 GB RAM to improve speed/responsiveness. The end result is I have a computer that is faster than anything I have ever had and looks new again where the performance of the refurbished unit exceeded my expectations. With this refurbished computer I can comfortably wait for the Next Gen MAC to come out without feeling like I am sacrificing anything. I truly appreciate Computer Works for their great service, technical guidance in offering lower cost options and most importantly not price gouging their customers. If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would. I inadvertently had my laptop fall and broke the screen of my MACbook laptop. After calling Apple to just set up a Genius appointment, I called Computer Works at 3:00. Scott calmed me down, ordered the part and I showed up the next day when they opened. I don't have a lot of details to add. I contacted steve to see what they thought was wrong with my PC. They responded to my message (after hours) rather quickly. Explained my issue, they suggested I had a bad graphics card and to bring my pc in. Brought my pc in, Dave helped me and tested my pc with me there. Found the issue said he needed to run some tests and would call when it was done. He called me later in the evening (around 5pm). He told me the graphics card was bad, gave me to cost to replace it. I agreed with the price, they said it would take a day or two to complete it due to workload. They text me the next morning saying it was done and to come pick it up. Picked it up and has worked perfectly since I got it home. Steve followed up with me a couple days later to make sure everything was ok. Zero complaints and the staff was great to work with. They were very good at explaining everything, and did a great job. Would recommend them to anyone looking for computer repairs. read more

My Dell Inspiron computer software told me that my Seagate mechanical hard drive was failing after three years. Took my computer to Computer Works and Dave confirmed that it was failing. Since it was still working, they were able to clone it to a new WD Solid State Drive. He also tuned it and repaired some corrupted files. My computer operates better than it did when it was new. I took it in late Friday afternoon and as promised it was ready the following Monday afternoon. read more

I had a computer that I had gotten in 2013 and it was sitting around for quite a while kind of just dead and I kept ordering replacement batteries and replacement chargers for this product and none of them worked. Then a friend recommended that I try out computer Works and I'm so glad that I did because they were able to reboot my system and get my computer working and give me a lot of valuable information so instead of having to junk a very expensive computer I actually was able to just keep the computer and use all the new features. This was my first time using Computer Works. My laptop had frozen up and there was nothing I couldn't do to get it going again. I saw Tim when I went in. He was friendly and very knowledgeable. He gave me a quote (which was exactly what they charged) and told me it would be ready in 1-3 days. I received a text later that afternoon letting me know my laptop was ready.
