I had a very disappointing and frustrating experience with this computer shop and its manager. We initially brought in my husband's PC because the monitor would go black on startup. The manager diagnosed it as a broken motherboard and charged us $390 to fix it, claiming it came with a one-year warranty. Unfortunately, the issue was never resolved. When we returned the PC, he kept giving us the runaround, suggesting additional upgrades like a new graphics card and increasing the RAM from 16GB to 32GB. We paid another $670 for those upgrades, along with reinstalling Windows 11--only for the same problem to continue happening. On top of that, the service was extremely unprofessional. Every time we were told the device would be ready, it never was. We would show up and be told to wait an hour, which would turn into several hours, or be told to come back the next day--only for it still not to be ready. This happened repeatedly. When I expressed frustration after waiting days, he dismissed my concerns and said he had customers waiting for months, which is completely unacceptable. The shop environment itself is chaotic. He frequently speaks inappropriately about unrelated topics instead of focusing on the work, and even makes offensive comments about different groups of people. He also asks customers to do favors for him, like testing TVs or computers, which is not professional at all. In another incident, I brought in a working PS5 to sell. Without my permission or payment, he took it apart for parts. It took over a week--and my brother stepping in--for me to finally get paid. The same thing happened when I returned a monitor I had purchased from him; he said returns were allowed, but it still took a week to get my money back. He often takes devices apart, gives a quote, fails to fix them, and then moves on to the next customer, repeating the same cycle. My husband's PC was left in pieces, and parts like screws were lost--he even had to take screws from other machines to try to reassemble it. When my husband finally asked him to just put it back together so we could take it elsewhere, he said it wasn't his problem if he didn't know how'd to put it back together. To make matters worse, despite multiple requests, he has never provided receipts for the money we paid. He constantly says he'll send them "tomorrow" or have them ready next time, but never follows through. Overall, this has been a costly and stressful experience. We lost a significant amount of money and time dealing with someone who is unreliable, unprofessional, and dishonest. I strongly recommend avoiding this business. read more

Very Rude...This guy is very rude, dishonest and inhuman. I had an issue with my charging jack and key board(hardware costs 10+35 =$45). I went to computer world and asked for estimate, the owner said he needs time to give estimate and he said he will call me and tell me the estimate(I know that this is a business trick he is following, once you give your laptop, generally you will go ahead with repair). Next day at 12:15 pm he called me and gave me an estimate of $200($45 parts cost and $145 labor charges). I said I don't want to get it repaired and I will pick up my laptop later. Then he said "I can only give your laptop within 30 mins otherwise you should wait for my next call". I said I might need some time and I will be there by 1:30 PM. Somehow I managed to go there by 12:45 PM. When I went to computer world the owner was free and has no customers. When I asked to return my laptop he denied to given back my laptop and asked me to come back at 1:30. After Little argument I realized that he is VERY RUDE..and will stoop to any level for money. I waited for 45 minutes in parking and picked my laptop at 1:30. It hardly took 30 seconds for him to return, but he made me wait for 45 minutes in this tough time of COVID 19. So be careful with guys like these who are very inhuman and will stoop to any level for money. During these tough times of COVID he argued and made me waited for 45 minutes to just return my laptop which is hardly 30 seconds job. Update after Brian's reply: What a fabricated story you are saying, For charging jack and keyboard does anyone take his old laptop to India and get it repaired....Awesome joke. How many lies do you say.. 1) I was wearing Mask and you were saying I dint, can you prove by posting image from surveillance camera? IF YOU CANNOT PROVE, THEN IT IS EVIDENT THAT YOU ARE SAYING A NICE COOKED UP STORY. 2) I never said I wanted it to repair in India(Its a made up story) 3)You dint even touch my laptop and you are saying you assembled my laptop..great joke Most Important: I am getting some dirty and filthy, abusing messages from different accounts..Please check the images. Look at the professionalism they have and kind of LANGUAGE they are using. Do you guys think this kind of attitude and language acceptable in professional world. We purchased 2 MacBook Air while our daughter were at high school 6th and 7th grade recently I believe last Tuesday 104 MacBook Air On Wednesday coffee was a spilled and our second MacBook Air screen was cracked on 15th of last month and we send it to the Apple Store since they are not taking appointments anymore and the estimate of repair on the clock in the scheme of us almost buying another MacBook Air and the one my daughter spelled coffee V decided to tie the local business and instead of shipping to the Apple Store because V knew it's gonna take time also arm and leg repair. My husband why is insisting to maybe it's time to purchase new MacBooks because these computers are almost 10 years old Monday at 10 Am We got our MacBook Air back from the Apple store and decided to not go with the repair and my husband said maybe we can use the part from one MacBook Air to fix the other one and I took both of them are local store repair shop computer world I explained my story and Ryan immediately told me don't be worry about anything we can take care of the whole thing with in a few hours and we have parts for all the MacBooks in stock and I did see tons of MacBooks an IMAC all around the shop The technician open the computer while we were waiting and provided a very reasonable estimate And I consulted with my husband and we decided to fix both of our computers here we dropped off the laptops at 1030 x 1 o'clock in the afternoon both of the computers already and the good news was that my pictures for almost 10 years always recovered from the MacBook like with the smell which according to Apple when we called him last Friday was no hope to get the theater and might cost a fortune. Me and my husband always like to take our cars and electronics to authorized repair places this was the first time we decided to go what our local store and our experience was fantastic I think it's not a bad idea that sometimes we should try local businesses instead of sending everything to the bank companies and pay tons of money. My husband is not working due to cover 19 and Brian told me that I could try to post date a check for one of the MacBook airs that was very helpful Even though this was our first trip to the store. Don't judge the book by its cover. Reviews definitely help, but they can't give you the insight that you truly get by experiencing something yourself. I have always been a fan of big and well known companies, but the recent experiences I had with small businesses twisted a lot of things around. Few months ago, I went to fry's electronic to clean my computer, install protection, purchase a portable external hard drive, and do a few other small things. Out the door, everything cost me nearly $400. The laptop I had was kind of broken and I was afraid my hard drive will fail; therefore, the need for an external one. So I transfer all my data, each and everything to the new hard drive: thousands of pictures, very important documents including statements for medical school admission, recommendation letters by professors, all kind of notes I have had from the 4.5 years of my undergrad so pretty much all my life. It wasn't until 3 months after that the hard drive completely went dead. I went to Fry's. They said it will be a couple hundred to recover the data and if they were unable to, they would have to send it elsewhere to recover all the data which might cost me up to $2000. As frustrated as I was there, I had no any other option, but to either spend that much money or give up. Someone in the store recommended me this place: Computer World Fremont branch in Fremont, CA. At first, I was hesitant, but then I gave it a try. The two men there were very nice and professional. Very competent and knowledgeable in the area of their expertise, they understood everything I said and the position I was in. They recovered all the data and stored it on a loaner hard drive. I was successfully able to transfer everything back to my personal laptop. All this was for $120. Very pleased with their service and I highly recommend it. A friend of mine recommended Computer World as he got his laptop screen fixed by Brian. I jwent to the shop and met Brian, really nice guy, and yes he talks loud but thats him I guess. I mean we have different language accent sometimes, I kind of got that . So my MacBook Pro has power but does not boot so I cant access all my files. He gave me 2 days to provide his diagnostics, so my drive is bad.. He quoted me the cost of repair and I was honest to tell him its too high for me. Brian was nice to ask me how much is my budget and he lowered the cost and we had a deal. We haggle prices to get few bucks, but if somebody will give u a good deal , that's pretty awesome! He replaced my drive & gave back my old drive, fixed my lose screen, installed latest Mac OS Yosemite (awesome!) and gave me a 1 yr warranty (full of awesomeness!) Ohh I have $20 gift card too from the same store, nice !!! This shop has been around for so many years in Fremont, that means Brian knows his stuff and he did explain to me that he tried to make sure he meet customer satisfaction, his taking care of business too.
