Stumbled on this place while waiting for my partner to do their dental work. The employees here are kind and telling all their good food and drink choices. I got the bacon egg cheese croissant, and a Shaken Brown Sugar Expresso (iced). The drink was great. The sand was good, but was hard to eat in the middle. The place reminds me of eating in Mexico. The photo I have attached is the ambiance of the place. Has soccer things all around as the World Cup is here in San Jose.
Horchata latte: 3/5 it was sooooooooooo sweet. I couldn't tell it was a latte because it was saturated with syrup or simple sugar Spanish latte: 5/5 condensed milk latte. Really enjoyed it on ice. Would get again. Service: 3/5 cashier guy was really nice and helpful. Our biggest issue was everything took such a long time, when it wasn't crowded. waiting in line even longer than necessary so that people could have extensive conversations about random things with the cashier. The weirdest part was when we got our orders and the young girl working on a Saturday afternoon handed us a Matcha Horchata. We didn't order a Matcha Horchata. We asked for a Horchata latte, but she kept telling us that was what we ordered and the receipt says Horchata latte... and she refused to look at the receipt and kept telling us to take the Matcha Horchata. It was just plain weird and awkward. Like what were we doing lol finally the kind cashier guy gave us a Horchata latte that was already made. if you're trying to grab something quick before work or simply just want a quick coffee stop, this is not the place. The music and ambience were nice though!
I recently discovered this cafe because it's on the way to my current place of work, and the experiences both times have been nothing short of amazing. The baristas/people working were so kind and always greeted customers with a smile on their face. They were very patient with me while I was trying to figure out my order and were also very helpful in aiding me to pick out my order. The drinks are so delightful, the coffee is not too sweet which is the way I like it but it is also strong in the sense that it holds its own flavor profile. I think the drinks I've tried have been super refreshing and tasty! I also got to try a few of the pastries such as the avocado toast and one of the turtle pastries, my boyfriend also got a 3-cheese grilled cheese and I have to say, everything was extremely good. I'm usually quite scared when I get avocado toast at places because I fear it will literally just be avocado, on toasted bread. But the avocado toast was perfectly seasoned, it was riddled with lemon flavor which I love when avocado is mixed with lemon juice. That to me, is like the perfect flavor combo. So I thought it was really refreshing and it was super good! The toast was nicely buttered for both the avocado toast and the grilled cheese. I also really love the vibe/aesthetic of this cafe. It's very homely and whimsical, I love that they had pastries in the shape of little turtles and the bathroom door was shaped like a refrigerator. Everyone there, including the customers, were all super duper nice and friendly and it just felt so nice and calming to be here. I would like to find a time where I can go back and genuinely soak up the environment and hang out in the lobby for a bit. 10/10 would recommend! :D
Cute cute cute cafe with Mexican artwork throughout and delicious drinks and pastries. I've visited this location numerous times over the past couple of years as it is in the silver creek evergreen area and my go to drink is their iced matcha horchata. It's delicious and makes me crave more. Its unique is taste and I love how they offer fusion drinks and desserts. They also have pan dulce and other authentic Mexican pastries. When they first opened, they would do cute art on the drinks and the designs change every so often. I feel like this shop is authentic in everything that they do with offering an authentic twist for fusion offerings.
Such a cute coffee shop with an amazing selection of drinks and food. I love their iced horchata latte and for hot coffee lovers, the cafe de olla is amazing with some steamed milk or cream on top. Their torta de jamon was delicious and everything came out super fast. The owners and workers are so sweet and welcoming.

This cafe is so cute! We walk by it often, and this morning, we ordered food for the first time! The lady behind the counter said the wait would be ten minutes, but we didn't wait long. We had an avocado toast that was delish, as well as a croissant-looking pastry and a pig pastry. The bike dish for the little croissant was adorable!! My daughter had a matcha, I had a chai tea latte, and my man had his coffee. We had a wonderful time sitting outside the patio, enjoying our food and drinks. I'll come back again!
The person who took my order was friendly. Ordered the dulce de leche latte and it was pretty good. A little more on the sweeter side but I got it as is bc I wanted to try it how it' is without any adjustments. Would order it maybe a little less sweet next time. Will definitely come back.
Been coming here since the grand opening ceremony. I usually get the horchata matcha which is great cold or hot. Im excited to try their holiday drinks. I already tried the marshmallow latte. Delicious!
It's inside a plaza , there's plenty of parking fur sure. The inside is so pretty, so eye catching. The cashier she was sweet . I didn't order food this time I ordered a seasonal latte and sweet bread . The latte I order was con fresa and I got the cute small breads that's in a bag. Definitely coming back to this location. Let's talk ambiance, this place is gorgeous. We walked in and loved it! Wow! The young man at the counter was patient with us, while we looked over the menu, and offered suggestions when asked. We both decided on the same drink order, with the difference that one drink was hot and the other was iced. It was so delicious! Of course we got Pan Dulce to go with our drinks. Let me tell you, this place is a very Instagram worthy spot, with great service, food and drinks.
Seasonal marshmallow latte has real marshmallows that melt and is delicious. Their club sandwich has a generous amount of ingredients and made very well.
Torta and club was delicious, the drinks even better! Loved the tiny pan Dulce too. Friendly and quick service despite being busy. They also have a super cute add on to get pics on your latte foam. Super cute photo ops in the restaurant.

I'm sad to even write this review because I love this place. But I'm hoping things change for the better. I ordered the caprese toast and sadly my bread was burnt. Not only that, in the middle of finishing my first toast I bit in something really hard that hurt my tooth. It was the butts of the avocado. I really hope this doesn't happen again. My daughter and myself love this place. read more
Absolutely love this place. I've visited the location in DTSJ and this one is smaller but the same vibe. They have a menu full of iced and hot coffees as well as refreshers. While the iced lattes are delicious I am obsessed with the cafe de olla. Its drip coffee with a cinnamon sweetener. The torta is also a hit. I order mine with turkey instead of ham and it's no issue. It's filling and made with fresh ingredients. I visited on a Saturday morning and this place gets busy! At times there is a line to the door, however, service is rather quick. But tables do fill up fast. read more

This was my first time at this location, it is pretty much identical to their first location. I tried their horchata and torta. Both were pretty good. I loved the rim alejen the horchata, I believe it was cinnamon? It is definitely instagram worthy with a lot of photo ops around the restaurant. My only complaint is that there is limited seating. I went on a Sunday and luckily got a table, but it was the last one available for some time. I love the music that they play, and really enjoyed this place. Definitely recommend. read more

Such a cute vibe! I have been waiting for so long for this cafe to open up ever since Starbucks closed and a new cafe sign popped up in its place. I love how I went in and it's completely full of customers and no tables were available. So if you do plan to hang out, the cafe is fairly small and not many tables so there may or may not be open tables available. People are hanging out and enjoying their time together. Coffee is good, same with their conchas. Art is amazing. Staff is nice. Plenty of parking. I'll be back. read more
I was around the neighborhood and decided to get a little cafe de olla and avocado toast. Service was great! The gentleman at the register was kind and friendly. The place was very clean and good seating. My cafe de olla was good. They served my coffee in a paper cup though. Really wish they would allow you to drink it in a nice mug to fully enjoy the flavors- they said you had to buy the mug if you wanted to drink from it. The avocado toast was s good size, I took half of it home. The conchas were good- but mine was tiny bit dry. Overall this place has good vibes and lovely service. read more
I've lived in the ranch for almost 20 years and I've seen businesses come and go in this plaza. I hope con azucar is here to stay! I've come here two times now and the service is good but they're a bit slow. Blame that on them being a new business. Both times I've been it's been packed and busy! The horchata matcha latte was just ok. Tasted only like horchata and no matcha and was even a bit gritty. The caramel latte was good! Will come again to try the food! read more

I don't think I've ever seen this place before I know I haven't eaten here. My avocado toast was amazing and the coffee delicious. everything was just so good. The service was amazing. Also very friendly attention to detail. I ate outside. It was a beautiful day inside. I love the bathroom that looks like a refrigerator so cute. read more

I come here often and love the drinks and food every time! The interior is so nicely decorated and perfect for taking photos. There is WiFi and power outlets, which makes this a great place to study or do work. I've studied here twice during my finals. My favorite item here is the mangonada! The consistency is just right, not too icy or watery. The mango flavor is strong and refreshing. It comes swirled with chamoy and Tajin. They swirl the chamoy evenly throughout the drink. At other places, the chamoy is all at the bottom so you have to mix it yourself. You don't have that problem at Con Azucar! The mangonada also comes with tamarind candy on top and as garnish, and the tart, tangy flavor balances out the sweetness of the drink. I've also tried their matcha horchata, gansito frappe, and duvalín latte, all of which are good! Their torta is also pretty good. I've tried a concha cupcake which was good, but not amazing. Service is usually friendly and fast! read more
I love supporting independent coffee and tea shops. Went in here while I was waiting for my Mom at the salon. I ordered an iced chai latte. I asked them to make it less sweet. Most of the times when I ask for this at places, it comes out so sweet even when ask for it to be less sweet. This came out just right. When I left, the guy who made it asked me how it was. That was so nice as usually people don't care. But that's why it's good to support small businesses because they take pride in their work. Also I have to add this place is so Instagram worthy! Great ambiance for chisme :) I was hesitant to go here and go here and see a long wait line but not at all. The torta was big enough to share between two. We ordered café de la olla. Yummy! We could not leave without trying a mazapán latte. It was delicious . read more
I came back here and tried the matcha latte and the sweetness was perfect. I also thought the pastries tasted better the next time I came. This is a cute place to hangout and it's fairly quiet and peaceful. My 7 year old son loves the conchitas, so we've been coming back regularly. read more

Con Azucar cafe provides a colorful, vibrant and tasty experience with a wonderful selection of savory bites as well as sweet treats! The delicious drinks and food is amplified by the aesthetic decor! I particularly enjoyed the friendly service from staff as well as their yummy cookies and the delicious Jamaica- raspberry refresher. I would highly recommend visiting Con Azucar for a quick refreshment or a catch up session with your friends and I'm so grateful for having this spot close to me! read more
First time trying Con Azucar Cafe at this location. I usually go to the one on Santa Clara. I thought the service was pretty slow for a Wednesday morning at 8:15 am. It wasn't packed at all. Probably three people in front of me.. but it took 20 minutes. The person calling the names also wasn't as loud. The service definitely plays a big role for the experience so that's why I'm giving 3 stars. The drinks were good though which is a reason maybe I'll be back so I can bring my other friends.. either that or I'd just go to the downtown one. read more
Finally a new non-Starbucks coffee shop in this area! The drinks, the atmosphere, and the service was all amazing. Drinks: Great coffee selection on their menu lots of Mexican flavor inspired lattes , different types of iced coffee, and espresso drinks. Lattes are a little on the sweet side, but they have your regular drinks like iced coffee and espresso drinks with less sugar. Food: They have food on their menu like sandwiches and avocado toast. Definitely get the concha cookies while you're here -- I really enjoyed the concha cookies I had , it was soft, not overly sweet, and fun to dip in my latte. They also have pup cups for dogs, and hot chocolate for the kids . Atmosphere: The decor inside is amazing, a very Instagrammable spot, lots of flowers, paintings, lots of tables and places to sit inside and outside. Service/experience : The service was very friendly, and the café is very clean. Plenty of parking in this complex. overall would come back again, and excited to have a another coffee shop in the south bay! read more

Con Azucar just opened up their 2nd location on silver creek valley rd. Their menu has a little of everything from coffee to matcha to refreshers and food! I can already see that this is going to be my new favorite go-to for coffee! What we got : *White Chocolate Mocha w/ Matcha Cold Foam 10/10 *White Chocolate Mocha w/Duvalin Cold Foam 9/10 *Brown Shaken Espresso 9/10 I love that you can really taste how strong the coffee profile is. The service was amazing, I had originally ordered the white chocolate mocha w/Matcha cold foam and they accidentally made mine w/Dulvalin cold foam, and ended up just giving me the extra drink! We came on a Monday morning and the store was already packed, but our drinks still came out so fast! Interior was cute, homey and lively. Like I said, I will be coming back quite often! read more

Everything about this cafe is so cute! They have many options, including mexican hot chocolates and mexican lattes. I highly recommend the duvalin ice latte - it was sweet and had a hint of strawberry! My friend got the hot duvalin latte and they added a cute christmas micky mouse on top! Pricing and location is great too. The store seemed pretty busy when we came around 4pm, but our drinks were made quickly and beautifully. I love how this place is open until 7pm - can't wait to come back and try more of their drinks! read more

Ambiance: 5/5 The moment you step into Con Azucar you are transported to a fun, vibrant cafe! There is plenty of seating available as well as a photo op right by the front with a swing to sit in. Ofc, the whole place is very instagram worthy so even if you don't snap a photo there, there's plenty to still ogle at. Service: 5/5 We came in on a quiet a Wednesday night so I'm sure much slower than a morning rush. We were able to place our order quickly and found a table to wait at while admiring the interior. They have a restroom inside where the door looks like a retro fridge which is a funny and unique touch. Since most customers had already been served, we got our order in under 10 minutes. Food: 4/5 I had the iced horchata which had a delightful sweet rim of dulce and cinnamon. The horchata itself was so good and hit the spot with my purple pan dulce. The pan dulce was not as fresh as I would have hoped, but that's what I get for waiting to visit until the evening. I noticed the had other pastries that I'll have to try in the future. I also saw other food offerings online but not on the menu in store which was confusing- why not post it for everyone to see? Regardless, the drink and food I had was enough for me to want to come back again soon. read more

everyone needs to come and try this place out asappp !! the gentleman at the front was very kind off the bat and welcomed us in. i've always seen this place on my yelp but never got the chance to try it. i love trying out new coffee and especially and mexican inspired cafe is right up my al FOOD REVIEW : cafe en las rocas - this coffee is the best thing i've honestly ever had, i'm usually used to have asian inspired coffee twists and that's usually my go to but this one knocked it out the park for me. it has just the right amount of sweetness and it doesn't taste watered down or anything, kind of like a horchata coffee. 5/5 concha muffin - the muffin concha like party was also so delicious, it's something i've never had before with the two mixed into one item, the inside was nice and moist and i honestly wish i ordered more because ill definitely be back for more than one. 5/5 interior : the inside is so cute from the decor to the tables everything about it felt really warming. read more

This place is a whole vibe , I have been waiting for it to open and I'm glad I did , Purple Heart conchas , marzipan lattes, and a Concha sandwich ! Can't forget something for my pup! The concha was fresh and light, I think my new favorite drink is one of my favorite candies the Marzipan latte it was so satisfying it tasted exactly like the candy ! My pup was soooo happy and excited for his treat ! The girls were so nice behind the counter , and it's so cool you can get a photo on the top of your drink! read more

Never got around to going to the downtown location, glad they opened one closer to me. Cute inside, good for photo ops. The bathroom door looks a like fridge door so cute. All the seating inside was taken but there was a ton of open seating outside. The drink was yummy- latte is on the sweeter side. Will be back to try more drinks and some food. They printed a picture on the puppy-ccino. Pup approved! read more

What an exciting treat!! Such a cute place with the most delicious coffee drinks, sandwiches and pastries. The menu is so creative and you can't go wrong! I love the horchata iced coffee and the torta de jamon. The pastries are so good. While I haven't done it, I have seen many families or friend groups sharing the giant concha and the giant mug of coffee/cocoa. Looks like so much fun! read more
This place is first of all STUNNING. When you walk in, it is an experience. It is really beautiful. The concha display is a rainbow of delicious. I have been here a few times. And not only are the drinks good but the food as well. They have tamales seasonally but I wish they were year round. I highly recommend being adventurous with their menu and getting something you cant get somewhere else. I have done so and have not been disappointed. read more
