My first time here. Had breakfast birthday meet up with a friend and we both had the breakfast sandwich, hers on a bagel, mine on a croissant. I tried the Vietnamese coffee iced bcuz of the mentions it gets. Nothing disappointed. Good selection. Next time I'll try a smoothie. Clean, friendly atmosphere where locals hang out and meet up for coffee. Even some indoor planting arrangements if you need a gift.

Tuck away in a nice and cozy area up in the alum rock neighborhood, this coffee spot serves excellent coffee and iced Coffee! I ordered the coffee Frappe and it was really delicious! Inside is a small and cozy shop! Very neat and organized! Very clean! Excellent customer service! There was only one person working behind the counter. I think she was the owner! She was so kind and friendly!

This place is a bit of a mixed bag. The staff are friendly, the coffee is reasonably priced, and they will even make you a pretty decent breakfast sandwich. The downside though? It's in a sketchy strip mall, and the coffee and food isn't something I'd go out of my way for. It's a decent spot if you're nearby, but not something I'd recommend making a special trip for

The Coffee Cup is a local Mom & Pop shop located in the corner of Toyon shopping center. This is definitely a spot where locals come often to grab food and drinks. The interior is neatly decorated with plenty of seating if you choose to eat there. I ordered the Vietnamese coffee and breakfast sandwich. The food was really simple and I was surprised that it only had one slice of ham and the cheese wasn't melted either. I was expecting the sandwich to be fuller than that. The coffee also wasn't that great & seemed like a pretty average drink compared to other Vietnamese coffee's in SJ.

Banh mi and vietnamese iced coffee

Me and my bf stopped by when we were in the area and we would definitely come back!! We had the vietnamese iced coffee, apple cinnamon turnover and the chocolate chip muffin. Everything was a 10/10 and cost just under $20 after tax. We also tried to banh mi for a little under $8 after tax. Obviously not as good as a banh mi shop but it definitely hit the spot. Generous portion and affordable price. The service was great. There's a cute lil seating area with outlets. Free wi fi as well! Such a cute lowkey place to do work. There were quite a few regulars who came inside which made me happy to see. Please support small businesses like this!

Tried their Vietnamese Iced Coffee for the first time, and it was quite good. It will probably become my future go-to drink here. The service was fast and friendly, and the ambiance is simple and clean.

Fun and foxy cafe in the East Foothills area, I really like this place because it has a very local feel; at the Toyon center/strip mall. The customer service is warm and inviting, was here one day in the morning and a few locals enjoying their free time! Iced matcha latte was good and rich with a strong sweetness recoil, albeit sweeter than I usually drink matcha, with a less creamy profile. The drink was less loamy, but sweet like a Starbucks green tea flavor and the milkiness to it. Apricot pastry was nice and sweeter than a dry or fruit meat, and dense croissant carb layers, but made in the early morning? Overall, I did like my pastry matcha pair, but I will say the pastry fell short, seemed like a lot of gelatins in the recipe. A great breakfast when in the area and will gratefully visit again and take some family and friends along for the ride! Enso forever. Smoothie. Lots of parking. Sandwiches/Banh mi's! Love supporting mom and pop coffee shops! Enjoyed my breakfast croissant and then scored a bag of day-old pastries to take home. I spent part of the morning here working on my laptop and next to a group of retired regulars chatting about life. Very cozy, charming neighborhood spot.

TLDR: Small coffee shop- great coffee! Wanting to try a new 'local' coffee shop, chanced upon The Coffee Cup. It was a wonderful decision to try this place out. The Vietnamese coffee was perfectly flavored (not too sweet, which many others tend to end up with). It was towards their closing hours when I showed up so did not have too many pastry/ bakery options left. Will definitely visit again.

I've been going to this cafe for a couple of years now, since it was located in the McKee/Lucky Plaza. I moved to San Jose 2.5 years ago almost pre pandemic, and the service that I've received from this owner is always with care and. I really appreciate the effort that the cafe owner goes through to prepare our coffee and to serve our sandwiches. Because from what I see, this is a one woman establishment. The environment is calm, and I'm so glad she was able to expand her business into a bigger place! If you're ever in the area, try the Vietnamese Coffee, iced or hot, and the pastries that are served fresh in the morning (if you're lucky! They go quick lol) Please have patience when you go, because if you're expectation is fast service and low quality food, you might as well go to a convenience store. :)

I found this spot on a random run in the Eastside. I wanted some coffee and something different then the usual latte I always buy. This was a short time away from me so I drove up found parking and walked in. There was a line so I did have to wait a bit of time to place my order. I opted for an iced Vietnamese coffee and a breakfast sandwich with bacon. I also got chocolate muffins and a spinach and feta pastry. The croissant breakfast sandwich with bacon is very simple but so delicious! The iced Vietnamese coffee is strong! Chocolate muffins are a hit with my family. The spinach and feta is a savory treat! While we waited which was a about a 10-15 minute wait or more we browsed the space. During my visit and every visit after that there is a large group of older men (probably a club or something) that is always sitting towards the back of the sitting area. I see the same faces every time I go. There's limited seating as is so if your lucky to catch a tiny table it's a treat to enjoy your food there. There's so many different healthy and thriving plants decorating the space. There's large refrigerator with some drink options. It's a neat space overall. The woman behind the register is friendly and always prompt running around making orders. She has a lot of regulars who just come in for a coffee or a pastry so they are in and out. Expect to wait if you place orders for breakfast items. She makes everything fresh and it's worth the wait! I've noticed people who just come for stuff that takes a minute like coffee or a pastry tend to get impatient in line but that's a you problem not the place problem. Such a cool hidden gem off to the side in SJ!

I've been to Haiku a few times now. I live really close, and it's only about a five minute drive,…read morebut it didn't really catch my attention at first. Usually, it isn't too crowded when I visit, so finding a table is easy. There also isn't much interaction with the baristas since orders are placed through the kiosk. I've tried serval drinks, including the banana matcha, cookie butter matcha, and corn einspannar. When I first tried the matcha, I thought it was just okay, it tasted pretty bland. The corn einspannar was definitely the standout at the time, although I got tired of the flavor after a few sips. I'm a huge fan of anything cookie butter, so I'm always looking for places that do it well. I decided to try the cookie butter hojicha, and it was amazing. The hojicha here is a 10/10! Later, I tried the cookie butter latte, and it was just as good. The cookie butter and coffee pair so well together. The main reasons I keep coming back is their cookie butter and hojicha. If they ever take the cookie butter off the menu, I'll be sad

I've come here on about two occasions, and the Black Sesame Latte is one of the best I've ever had. Its flavors are not overly sweet, and you can taste the quality of their coffee and ingredients. The place itself is small, so it's not the best place to get work done, but as a grab-and-go drink spot, it works. Parking is available on the street outside the building and inside of a parking garage nearby. Orders are taken on a self-serve kiosk. The second time I came around 9AM, they were completely out of the Black Sesame, which I found odd-make sure you have a backup plan in mind if they run out of stock! I'll definitely be coming back soon to get my coffee fix!

After 10 mins I got my drink and it looked nothing like the pictures in comparison. The "extra" banana cream I got ended up being less than what I'm seeing in photos on yelp from other customers. The band of cream was about the size of my pinky. I get that less ice =/= more drink added, that's completely normal. But even with LESS ice, 60% of my cup was ice :(. I finished it in 8 sips. For $8, a dollar a sip. In this economy ?!? I got robbed. Next time I'll stick to Izumi or soyful. My friend got the jasmine matcha, no changes and had plenty to drink still long after I finished mine. I went for the creamy MT from soyful after to drown out my sorrows. Unlikely to come back, this was a disappointing experience. Their other drinks seem good though.

It was a Wednesday and Devin and I were looking to make it a productive work day. We stopped by later in the afternoon. There is ample seating but most of the booths were occupied when we arrived so we sat at a table. Club music was being played loudly so working here would not be ideal if you have to present in meetings. The tropical paradise fruit tea would've been better with a topping or two, but in an attempt to cut down on calories consumed I've began getting drinks without toppings. Unfortunately fruit tea without toppings is just not the same, but this was totally my choice and on me. The WiFi worked well. There are some outlets under the booths but none at the tables. I've been to other Rose Tea Lounge locations and I'd say that this one is definitely more club-like than others. Not the ideal place to work remotely by any means, but that's not to say that the drinks are bad or ambiance is poor. If you're looking to chat and catch up with friends, this spot would be a good choice.

My kids loved the egg waffles, especially because they come out warm, crisp, and fun to share. My son went straight for the Brown Sugar Boba Milk, and that one has that rich, smooth, classic brown sugar flavor that tastes like comfort in a cup. What impressed me most is the value. Everything feels polished, fresh, and well put together without feeling overpriced for what you get. Great drinks, great waffles, great location, and the kind of consistency that makes this an easy family go-to. Beautiful quality, strong value, and dangerously convenient in the best possible way. While I generally like strawberries, the strawberry sauce in this drink tasted off. Not sure if it taste bad because it's near the end of the day. I noticed a sign stating that if you're not satisfied with your drink, it can be remade. So I politely asked if they could remake mine without the strawberry since that was the only issue. At first, the employee told me they couldn't remake it without strawberry, which was confusing given the posted policy. I explained again that the strawberry tasted bad and pointed out the sign. Only then did she agree to remake it. Everything else about the drink was fine, and I wouldn't have asked for a remake if the strawberry sauce hadn't tasted spoiled. The interaction just felt unnecessarily difficult and left a bad impression. It was upsetting to end my day with this kind of experience. Honestly, this place isn't my favorite to begin with--I only came because my boyfriend likes it--but after this, I probably won't be ordering anything for myself again.
