To go containers have definitely improved!

These in my opinion are the best popusas in town. The flavor is very good. And the thing that I love most is that they are not greasy. The texture is perfect! Soft and fluffy! My favorite ones are queso and chicharron. Of course, I think they are all delicious, they have many others to choose from. I also tried their Salvadoran horchata, and I personally was not a fan. It has a strong sesame aftertaste. Guess I'll go with my usual coke next time. Service has always been great! These popusas are made to order and good things take time. So just be patient. The place isn't fancy, it used to have some color. I don't what happened but the popusas have not lost its good taste and quality, guess that all that matters!

    Shrimp Coctel de Camarones

Really wanted to support a small business but after I got sick I had to put this review. Ordered a shrimp cocktail and the shrimp were raw. I didn't check when I went in for the first bite, but as I ate it, something didn't seem right. When I start looking through the coctel, that's when I noticed. I even asked the lady who seemed to be the one in charge if they were cooked and she said yes, but it was very obvious they were not. I let her know that I wanted to make sure because my toddler was with me in case she was going to have some, and she still insisted that they were cooked. I did not give my toddler any luckily.

Experience: We came here on a whim after washing our car across the street. We were in the mood for something doughy and cheesy, conveniently located, this restaurant was right at the intersection so we decided on pupusas. The place was jumpin, a few tables occupied, and people coming into order non stop. After 20 minutes of me placing my order in person we were served. Food: We ordered four pupusas. $3.65 each. The menu had over forty options to choose from, just for the pupusas, I didn't even look at the other part of the menu. Initially I was super excited, they had all sorts of veggies, meats, and seafood to add to the queso. I got the pineapple and cheese, revueltos con todo, squash and cheese, and yam and cheese. Unfortunately the flavors were drowned out and overpowered by the cheese. I was really looking forward to the pineapple one. I wanted to bite into an equal shared bit of sweet pineapple and cheese. If the cook is able to tone down the cheese, this would be an easy 4 stars. It was all tasty, but it all tasted the same. It has potential. For the price, I can still get a $3 pupusa off a street vendor by Macarthur Park. Customer Service: The young person at the register was calm and sweet. She had the phone ringing non stop and was also the one serving the food. She held it together very nicely. Verdict: I would go back only if we were washing our car in the area. There are so many pupusa spots to choose from, but I've never seen a menu with so many options, that in itself is why I would try it again.

The food was very bland . No salt , no flavor. The casamiento was dry. The rice was super dry & tasted old had no flavor as well. The desayuno plate had no cheese, also found a piece of chicharron on my beans & im an allergic to pork. The platanos was too soggy & burnt not cooked right. Worst Salvadoran food I've ever tried. Not worth the price. I've tried better authentic Salvadoran food than this . I was disappointed

Don't let the location fool you. This simple little place will make you come back over and over again. Their pupusas are on point with flavor taste. The proof is in the people who keep streaming in here. Whether it's dine in, pick up, or order in, you will not be disappointed. It's well lit, and the tables aren't crowded, but dont just stop in for the pupusas however.

Total meal cost: $27.92 5 pupusas, nuegados de yuca, and atol de elote. Defintely enough for two. We took 2 pupusas home.

The kanpachi tostada was also great, and the uni with scallop was a nice pairing. Fish tacos were good but not as memorable as the raw dishes. Also tried the smoked kanpachi taco but again not outstanding compared to the raw seafood. Their sauces were also good but spicy! The light brown one had a unique flavor to it and was my favorite but also the spiciest so be aware. Price - On the higher end as expected from a Michelin 1 star, but the quality on the raw dishes justifies it. Wouldn't say every dish is worth the price, but most of them were good. Ambience - This is a food hall setup, you order at the counter, get a number, and they'll bring your food to you. Lines can get long, especially since it seems busy most days now. If the wait isn't worth it, there are other solid-looking vendors in the same food hall to check out. Parking - Small paid lot on site, or street parking nearby. It's also next to a DMV in which you can park after 6pm-ish (would double check the signs)

One steak was a perfectly reasonable portion, while the other was this tiny sad piece of steak and I paid the exact same price for it. That's what really bothered me. I understand that steaks can vary slightly in size and shape, but this was not a slight difference. When I'm paying the same premium price, I expect reasonably comparable portions. Getting one good-sized steak and one significantly smaller piece for the exact same price just doesn't feel fair. I've been a repeat customer and have ordered this dish many times, which is why I was especially disappointed. I'm not asking for anything unreasonable, I just expect the portion to match what I'm paying for!

The menu had bunch of small and large plates, alongside lots alcoholic and N/A drinks. I ordered the Strawberry Daiquiri Mocktail that almost tested like a smoothie. The fried calamari, corn, empanadas, short rib tostada and chicken taco, all were good dishes but none of them were mind blowing. Prices were mostly fair. The service was really good. I ordered a loaded carne asada-style dish served over fresh greens, and every bite was intentional and well-balanced. The beef was deeply seasoned, tender, and slightly crisped in places, which added great texture. It was topped with a creamy, slightly tangy sauce that tied everything together without overpowering the meat. What really stood out was the attention to detail: pickled red onions for acidity, fresh greens for balance, and a side of house-made pickled vegetables that cut through the richness perfectly. The tostada-style side topped with avocado, herbs, and onions added a nice contrast--crunchy, fresh, and vibrant. You can tell the ingredients are fresh and thoughtfully prepared. Portion size was generous without feeling excessive, and the dish felt hearty yet clean. I paired it with a refreshing citrus drink that complemented the meal well and kept everything light. Overall, this is the kind of place where you can tell the kitchen cares about execution. Bold flavors, great balance, and a presentation that looks just as good as it tastes. I would absolutely come back and recommend it to anyone looking for a satisfying, well-crafted meal
