    PESTO QUINOA SALMON

We had an absolutely lovely dining experience here! The food was excellent across the board, and the seafood was truly outstanding. We had Jalea Mixta, Grilled Octopus, Grilled Squid and Crispy Salmon, they were all delicious! The service was wonderfully warm, kind, and attentive from start to finish--Elizabeth was an absolute gem! Lonzo's has officially become a neighborhood favorite, and we will definitely be back.

    ARROZ CON MARISCOS

The food was great; the ambience, not so much. It wasn't bad; just not vibey or anything. I could have been sitting in a high school cafeteria. Kinda meh. Service was also okay; neither great nor terrible. Food came out in a reasonable amount of time. However, we appreciated how attractively everything was plated. The creativity of the ceviche mixto in a hollowed-out cantaloupe and the addition of flowers in particular did make all the plates look appetizing. You know the saying, we eat with our eyes first. We enjoyed the oysters, the ceviche mixto and the arroz con mariscos. We would probably return to sample some of the other dishes on their menu. But a bit of mood lighting or atmosphere would definitely enhance the experience.

Came here with a group of friends and overall had a good experience! We started with the Papa à la Huancaina, the potatoes were good, though the sauce was served cold. For my main, I got the Lomo Saltado with filet mignion and it was delicious, tender, flavorful, and definitely a highlight. My friends ordered the Huancaína Pasta with lamb and the Bistek a lo Pobre (filet mignion, fried, rice, salad, and a fried egg), and both really enjoyed their dishes. The space is clean and service is good, though it could've been more attentive, it wasn't very busy and had to wait a bit to ask for refills. There's 2-hour metered parking on Washington. Overall, a solid spot I'd come back to.

We were seated promptly outside and they were able to move us into a table about 30 minutes layer. We got the two person bbq deal and the value was good. It came with 4 types of means - chicken, pork belly, beef, and sausage. It was flavorful and came with 2 dipping sauces that paired well with it. The highlight for me was the lomo saltado - the meat was perfectly cooked and well seasoned. The interior had lots of seating and the waiters are very nice and helpful. It did take a little while to get our food but overall it was worth the wait!

    Peruvian Pesto Lamb

One word: AMAZING! Food: We ordered the Peruvian Pesto Lamb and Arroz con Mariscos. The pesto pasta was creamy, flavorful, and cooked just the way I like it, and the lamb was tender and well seasoned. The Arroz con Mariscos was simply divine! It was loaded with squid, clams, mussels, and shrimp, and packed with flavor without being overly fishy. This was definitely my favorite dish, and I highly recommend it! Service: Excellent! Ambiance: Casual, clean, with colorful Peruvian decor.

Wooowww this place has such amazing food. This was my first time trying Peruvian food and I'm hooked! The ceviche was so fresh and I loved the corn in it! The steak saltado was sooo yummy. Would definitely be back to try other dishes! The ambience is more like a no frill cafe type of restaurant. The service was very fast and friendly. Easy street parking on both sides.

Best restaurants I've tried in 2026. Lonzo's is the explanation to why Peruvian food is so highly regarded in the world. Every dish is a blend of innovation and a welcoming, home-like familiarity. I get flavors from Chinese food, Spanish food and American food, each unique and distinguishable. But they come together so organically that my only thought was oh this is what Peruvian food is about. Packed with the sizzling heat and punchy spiciness, this is uniquely, unmistakably Peruvian. Pesto quinoa salmon is 10/10. The quinoa soaks up pesto's creaminess so by the time all the protein is gone, it has become almost a desert, flavorful to the last grain. The veggies on the side is miraculously even more amazing than the salmon. The cucumbers are juicy and savory, offering freshness retreat from Salmon and pesto's rich flavor. Oysters are a solid 10/10--the purest expression of ceviche. Lonzo's version bridges ocean and land effortlessly, never compromising either. The acidity tempers the briny intensity while preserving the oyster's pristine freshness. A touch of salsa adds depth and intrigue, layering complexity without overwhelming the core. Everything comes together in perfect harmony, all cradled within that gleaming, natural shell. Lucuma ice cream with crepe is a wonderful way to finish the dinner. It's simple but thoughtful. In a different restaurant, this would have been a vanilla ice cream with Nutella on top, but not at Lonzo's. The ice cream is Peru's national fruit, mangoy flavor but surely not a regular mango ice cream. And drizzled on top is the caramel. There's still lot more on the menu to explore at Lonzo's. I already can't wait to revisit and be amazed again.

    Scallops on the hot skillet

As an alumni of CCHS, it's rare I miss any good food spots in Culver. This place was exactly what I was lookin for on a sunny Saturday afternoon for a late lunch. It's slightly bigger than a whole in the wall, quiet, nice ambiance. The staff was very attentive and accommodating. I usually get an Aronld Palmer everywhere I eat lunch or dinner. They didn't serve lemonade so the waitress had made a passion fruit juice blended with unsweetened ice tea, delicious. When seated they bring you small sourdough rounds with a green cilantro sauce. The scallops on a skillet appetizer was an excellent mix of flavor between the baby asparagus, mushrooms and red peppers, the aroma alone was enticing. Then the main corse was Lamb with Pesto pasta. It was fire, right size portions, that lamb was juicy n the plate was the right temperature throughout. The whole meal was perfect. Treat yourself or take a date. Highly recommended.

We came here for dinner because my friend loves the ceviche here and I'm glad to say that the ceviche was so good. Super fresh and flavorful. I also loved that the tigers milk came topped with calamari. For my main, I got the arroz con mariscos which was similar to seafood paella but had a more cheesy flavor. It was so good. Super flavorful and they didn't skimp on the seafood portion. My friend got the salmon pesto quinoa which she really enjoyed too. I'll definitely be back for more ceviche and other entrees in the future.

This is the beautiful plaque Lonzo's made for my dad's memory...

My husband, daughter and I have been coming to Lonzo's since they opened and have enjoyed many a fantastic meal. I remember when it wa only the front room with 3 little tables... then there was the pandemic and they opened outdoors, on th sidewalk, sheltered and set up beautifully... now they have the back room extension... and I thought, after dining there (again) that it would be an ideal place for my father's memorial party. I could not have been more pleased! We had about 30 people and the restaraunt set it up beautifully... even made a special centrpiece for the occasion! The staff could not have been nicer and the food, as always was amazing! Lomo Saltado, Arroz con Mariscos, Yucca, Ceviche, Octopus, Scallops , and don't forget the ChocoFlan!! My foodie dad would have been blissing out! We cerainly were! This was such a wonderful way to honor and remember my father! Thank you, Lonzo's, for being SO phenomenal in ALL ways! If you've never been to Lonzo's or want authentic and delicious Peruvian food, please go! You'll be glad you did!!

    CEVICHE MIXTO

Service here is amazing. Patty was great! Came on Sunday following Thanksgiving. They were having a Black Friday special. We got free drink tastings and the dishes were 15% for dining in! Loved the lomo saltado. The mixed ceviche was fabulous and the portion was pretty large. Make sure to ask for extra aji verde for dipping fries and anything else your heart desires!

GRILLED BEEF HEART, LOBSTER/ SHRIMP CAUSA, FISHERMAN
    Tea F.

Got takeout from this place and the presentation was 10/10 and the food was a 12/10. I'm still in shock at how good everything was. Personal faves were probably the fish ceviche and the beef anticuchos (grilled hearts), but the shrimp causa we got was also incredibly yummy. The portion for the Aguadito soup was especially ENORMOUS, easily double what I expected to receive. Everything was also packaged with care for the different types and temperatures of food - really excellent service there too!

One of new favorite neighborhood restaurants! Lonzo's has been on my bucket list and I was absolutely thrilled I had the opportunity to finally try it. I came here with a friend for dinner time. When we arrived, I was nervous we wouldn't be able to get a table since the restaurant was busy and buzzing with some much energy! You can tell it's a neighborhood favorite. We waited about 10 minutes and were promptly sat by the amazing staff. The restaurant has a family feel to it. While we were there, live music was playing which added to the cozy family feeling. For food, we ordered the Lobster guacamole and chips and the pesto pasta with steak. Everything was absolutely delicious and the flavors were so harmonious. Additionally, quite a few people celebrated their birthdays that day which added to the excitement and happiness feeling of the restaurant. I highly recommend and will come back!

Do you have lunch specials? i want to bring a group from the gym to celebrate a bday after class

Yes. We have different specials. Can you send the details to info@lonzosrestaurant.com and we will send all the info for you. How many people? When? Are you interesting in any specific type of dish?…

    Do they serve cocktails?

    Absolutely

    Where do you park?

Metered parking (credit card/coins) right on Washington Blvd in front of and near the restaurant or around the corner on Midway Avenue (also metered).

How many tables and how many chairs do they have for outdoor dining? Can they seat 8 people comfortably?

3 tables, 2 seats per table. No, the biggest group would be 4. The tables are too small to fit two entrees, an appetizer and our drinks.

Are you guys still doing outdoor dining?

    Yes they do

Hi, are you able to make the Saltado with fish?

    Is dine-in currently available?

Hi, currently we have limited outdoor seating available!

They are no gluten free options on their menu

    Can you BYOB?

Yes, and there is no corkage fee.

    Wondering about vegan options?

The kitchen can probably make you something vegan but Lonzo's is a great meat & seafood restaurant - not known to be a vegan option

The restaurant said it was made with white sea bass, but the fish was cut into unusually large cubes that were awkward to eat and a bit too firm to bite through comfortably. More importantly, the fish itself lacked flavor. The biggest disappointment, however, was the leche de tigre. Instead of the bright, citrusy, balanced flavor that defines a great Peruvian ceviche, it tasted more like a ginger soup. The ginger completely overpowered the dish, making it difficult to recognize the classic flavors of authentic Peruvian ceviche. The chicken skewers were also underwhelming. When I order Peruvian-style skewers, I expect them to be grilled over charcoal or an open flame, with a smoky aroma and a nicely charred exterior. Instead, these lacked that signature grilled flavor. While the seasoning had potential, they were noticeably over-salted, and the bottom pieces were soggy, almost as if they had been sitting in their own juices instead of coming straight off the grill. What made the experience harder to justify was the price. We spent over $70 before tip for two entrées, two drinks, and a small side of huancaína sauce. At those prices, I expect authentic flavors and strong execution. Unfortunately, neither dish delivered enough quality to match the cost. The service was friendly, and I genuinely wanted to like this place, but the food fell short. Los Angeles has some excellent Peruvian restaurants, and based on this visit, I don't think Huarique is one I'd return to.

The fried fish tacos were perfectly battered and fried, I liked the onions on top as it helps cut through the friedness of it all. Yucca fries were delish, dip it in the green sauce and it's perfection. The ceviche was fresh and bright. Love the citrusy sauce at the bottom, yum! The corn is not like the regular corn we have at the grocery store. It has a bit more bite to it in terms of texture like it's not soft. Passion fruit juice was absolutely needed after all day on the beach. The cake has swirls of dulce de leche, very tasty. I would come back just for the lomo saltado alone! The location turned out to be El Huarique Peruvian Kitchen! What a delicious find that turns up the flavor and definitely the heat! Be careful what you ask for! Haha! Fish Ceviche | Yes, please! Now, at first bite, for some odd reason, I thought the dish was going to be hot, but it was cold and absolutely delicious! Taking our server Mauricio's advice, I tried each item separately on my plate and then mixed it up... Yummy! New flavors had my taste buds doing a happy dance over and over again! Haha! I would absolutely 100% get this dish again! The flavors were electric once combined! Turn up the Heat | Our server Mauricio asked my spice level and I confidently said spicy! He asked if I was sure and I told him the story about me being in India, requesting a spicier version of a dish & the Chef coming out to take a look at me, because he couldn't believe I wanted spicier! Haha! Comedy Hour | I was enjoying every flavorful bite of the Fish Ceviche, when all of a sudden my body started to heat up! I was like, I can handle a bit of spice... And then suddenly my tongue got really warm and I could hardly feel it... Then my eyes started to water... And suddenly I lost focus in the conversation I was having with my friend & the traveler! I could hardly talk, because it was honestly that spicy! Haha! I bet it was also the sneaky little red onions, in addition to the other spices! Help, Please | I spotted Mauricio and asked him if he had any bread or yogurt, because my mouth was on fire! He didn't! He recommended water, which I had already tried! My friend, she recommended plantains, which I had also tried! The traveler ended up recommending the lettuce on my plate, which ended up helping for sure! After a while, my mouth started to cool down, thank goodness! Eye Spot Spice | Just when my mouth started to cool down, my friend accidentally touched her eye, which must have had spice on it! The girl at the next table, dining with her significant other, immediately came to her rescue! I asked our server Mauricio for a cup of water so she could flush out her eye! The girl at the next table told her to rub her eye with her hair... Which oddly helped! Plantains | I can always appreciate plantains, as I love them! They arrived at our table and quite plentiful! I appreciated that the flavor was just the right amount of sweet and savory... Perfect! As conversation flowed easily between me, my friend, and the traveler! I invited him to enjoy the plantains with us, which he did! Fried Rice | My friend, ordered this dish and invited me to share it with her! OMG! I highly recommend, so flavorful and definitely shareable! I happily enjoyed every bite that I put onto my plate! Customer Service | Mauricio was top-tier! He was patient, kind and so much fun to explore the menu with! He really wanted us to have the Peruvian experience, considering it was both me and my friends first time having Peruvian food... as far as I know! Seating | Both inside and outside! We sat on the outside patio! Happy Meeting | While waiting for my friend to arrive at the restaurant, a friendly worldwide traveler, who was currently in town, helped me with the menu! Though his meal included chicken, a dish he frequently orders when he's in town, he invited me to explore the veggie part of the menu and mentioned that the food was really good here! Something made me trust his recommendation and I'm glad I did! We had fun chatting with the friendly traveler! Overall | Oh my goodness! Hahaha! Between the flavorful Fish Ceviche that was too hot to handle, sweet and savory Plantains, the customer service via Mauricio, an extension of me and my friends spa day, & other friendly customers, made for a memorable evening! I'm excited to do it again, definitely turning down the spice level and exploring more of the menu! Thanks again, Mauricio & the friendly traveler! We shall all meet again! Let's go!!

The prices are up there for the portions, but it's all a real treat for the taste buds, and the view is great! Highly recommend.

We arrived around 5:30 PM on a Sunday without a reservation, but we were immediately seated upon arrival. The ambiance was relaxing and calm with a resort-like interior. Our server was attentive, yet very respectful of our private space and time, which we greatly appreciated. We never felt rushed, and were able to enjoy the relaxing time. Here is our order: Chicha No Nada with Pisco: A very refreshing drink! Adding pisco was a right choice, making it a perfect cocktail to start off the vacation. Bass Ceviche: A great Peruvian-inspired dish! Highly recommend adding the crispy quinoa crusts for additional $3. Wood-fired Skirt Steak: This dish is very similar to Lomo Saltado, which is our favorite Peruvian dish. Steak was cooked to perfection. Yuca Fries: This dish was very interesting, featuring chorizo, yuzu-cilantro, pickled ajis, and cotija. It was delicious and perfect as a side dish. While the food was excellent, the portions were quite small for dishes that are "meant to be shared" as descrived by our server. Albeit this, our dine-in experience was very positive and enjoyable overall.

Upon entering the restaurant, you'll feel transported into another country almost. The disco ball, the mood lighting, the live piano and singer, and overall upbeat energy was an instant vibe. I love how enthusiastic the staff is about the food, especially our server Gaia, who was an absolute gem. She kept our corn seeds refilled all evening (which by the way, was SO good and SO filling). The items we ordered were so unique and definitely felt like a true fusion of Peruvian and Japanese culture. We ordered: SPICY CRAB HAND ROLL: Wow, love the crunch and aioli in this!! Very flavorful, and the subtle crunchy texture was incredible. HOKKAIDO SCALLOP: Not sure what fermented douche paste is, but this was also a banger. It was fresh, and had an almost milky flavor to it. The bomb. SHRIMP DUMPLING w TIGER MILK AIOLI & SESAME LEAF: This was probably the highlight of our evening. Our server Gaia highly recommended this. I'm not a huge dumpling person, but she convinced me that it was worth it. I cannot rave enough about this dish. The subtle milky and creamy sauce drizzled on top of the shrimp dumpling was incredible. Idk if I'd even call it a dumpling because the shape was very interesting. The sesame leaf gave it such a refreshing aftertaste. Highly recommend this one! JAPANESE CURRY RAVIOLI: Probably my second favorite! I've never had curry ravioli before but what an audacious idea! MISO COD: Loved the little puffed things on top of the miso cod!!! Pretty standard dish, but it was really good! SALMON SKEWERS: Came highly recommended by Gaia, so of course we ordered it. Flavorful as heck, and love the sauce that it came with! BLUEBERRY PIE: Ohhhh boy, this was the most decadent and delicious pie I've EVER eaten. It came with a bunch of whipped cream, and two scoops of ice cream. The pie was so thick, it tasted like how fairy tale storybooks describe a pie made with love by someone's grandma. The slice is HUGE too, so you're def getting your money's worth for $15. Yes the food here was great, but our experience was truly elevated by the staff, especially our server Gaia! Her laidback yet enthusiastic vibe made us feel super cared for. I can't wait to send all my friends here so they can experience Hummingbird for themselves!!!

I always ordered the same thing the Aji de Galina - when I walked in on this hot Friday afternoon, I was looking for a terrific lunch imagine my surprise when I showed up and it wasn't that busy at lunchtime? What the heck! This place used to be packed at lunch lunchtime! I was seated quickly, ordered my drink, and ordered my entrée! While I was waiting, I took a look around. It was a nice restaurant still the service was very prompt and good - why wasn't it busier? Huh. A big surprise to me. Needless to say? When the food came, I was pleased that it tasted exactly the same as I remember - excellent. I got a small bowl of chicken soup, and my entrée was fantastic and plentiful with lots of chicken the way I like it! I can't really say I'll come again and you should too because I know I will come again! But this place is worth a stop if you want to try good food at reasonable prices. Check it out and let me know what you think!

It's definitely more convenient than the Lawndale location, if you ever lands in LAX.
