ANDEAN POTATOES / PAPA A LA HUANCAINA
    Jessica G.

Came here with a group of friends and overall had a good experience! We started with the Papa à la Huancaina, the potatoes were good, though the sauce was served cold. For my main, I got the Lomo Saltado with filet mignion and it was delicious, tender, flavorful, and definitely a highlight. My friends ordered the Huancaína Pasta with lamb and the Bistek a lo Pobre (filet mignion, fried, rice, salad, and a fried egg), and both really enjoyed their dishes. The space is clean and service is good, though it could've been more attentive, it wasn't very busy and had to wait a bit to ask for refills. There's 2-hour metered parking on Washington. Overall, a solid spot I'd come back to.

Wooowww this place has such amazing food. This was my first time trying Peruvian food and I'm hooked! The ceviche was so fresh and I loved the corn in it! The steak saltado was sooo yummy. Would definitely be back to try other dishes! The ambience is more like a no frill cafe type of restaurant. The service was very fast and friendly. Easy street parking on both sides.

We were seated promptly outside and they were able to move us into a table about 30 minutes layer. We got the two person bbq deal and the value was good. It came with 4 types of means - chicken, pork belly, beef, and sausage. It was flavorful and came with 2 dipping sauces that paired well with it. The highlight for me was the lomo saltado - the meat was perfectly cooked and well seasoned. The interior had lots of seating and the waiters are very nice and helpful. It did take a little while to get our food but overall it was worth the wait!

    Peruvian Pesto Lamb

One word: AMAZING! Food: We ordered the Peruvian Pesto Lamb and Arroz con Mariscos. The pesto pasta was creamy, flavorful, and cooked just the way I like it, and the lamb was tender and well seasoned. The Arroz con Mariscos was simply divine! It was loaded with squid, clams, mussels, and shrimp, and packed with flavor without being overly fishy. This was definitely my favorite dish, and I highly recommend it! Service: Excellent! Ambiance: Casual, clean, with colorful Peruvian decor.

    PESTO QUINOA SALMON

Best restaurants I've tried in 2026. Lonzo's is the explanation to why Peruvian food is so highly regarded in the world. Every dish is a blend of innovation and a welcoming, home-like familiarity. I get flavors from Chinese food, Spanish food and American food, each unique and distinguishable. But they come together so organically that my only thought was oh this is what Peruvian food is about. Packed with the sizzling heat and punchy spiciness, this is uniquely, unmistakably Peruvian. Pesto quinoa salmon is 10/10. The quinoa soaks up pesto's creaminess so by the time all the protein is gone, it has become almost a desert, flavorful to the last grain. The veggies on the side is miraculously even more amazing than the salmon. The cucumbers are juicy and savory, offering freshness retreat from Salmon and pesto's rich flavor. Oysters are a solid 10/10--the purest expression of ceviche. Lonzo's version bridges ocean and land effortlessly, never compromising either. The acidity tempers the briny intensity while preserving the oyster's pristine freshness. A touch of salsa adds depth and intrigue, layering complexity without overwhelming the core. Everything comes together in perfect harmony, all cradled within that gleaming, natural shell. Lucuma ice cream with crepe is a wonderful way to finish the dinner. It's simple but thoughtful. In a different restaurant, this would have been a vanilla ice cream with Nutella on top, but not at Lonzo's. The ice cream is Peru's national fruit, mangoy flavor but surely not a regular mango ice cream. And drizzled on top is the caramel. There's still lot more on the menu to explore at Lonzo's. I already can't wait to revisit and be amazed again.

Food is good, but you cant be charging fine dining prices and serve costumers in plastics pkates and cups and wobbly plastic foldable tables.

As an alumni of CCHS, it's rare I miss any good food spots in Culver. This place was exactly what I was lookin for on a sunny Saturday afternoon for a late lunch. It's slightly bigger than a whole in the wall, quiet, nice ambiance. The staff was very attentive and accommodating. I usually get an Aronld Palmer everywhere I eat lunch or dinner. They didn't serve lemonade so the waitress had made a passion fruit juice blended with unsweetened ice tea, delicious. When seated they bring you small sourdough rounds with a green cilantro sauce. The scallops on a skillet appetizer was an excellent mix of flavor between the baby asparagus, mushrooms and red peppers, the aroma alone was enticing. Then the main corse was Lamb with Pesto pasta. It was fire, right size portions, that lamb was juicy n the plate was the right temperature throughout. The whole meal was perfect. Treat yourself or take a date. Highly recommended.

We came here for dinner because my friend loves the ceviche here and I'm glad to say that the ceviche was so good. Super fresh and flavorful. I also loved that the tigers milk came topped with calamari. For my main, I got the arroz con mariscos which was similar to seafood paella but had a more cheesy flavor. It was so good. Super flavorful and they didn't skimp on the seafood portion. My friend got the salmon pesto quinoa which she really enjoyed too. I'll definitely be back for more ceviche and other entrees in the future.

GRILLED BEEF HEART, LOBSTER/ SHRIMP CAUSA, FISHERMAN
    Tea F.

Got takeout from this place and the presentation was 10/10 and the food was a 12/10. I'm still in shock at how good everything was. Personal faves were probably the fish ceviche and the beef anticuchos (grilled hearts), but the shrimp causa we got was also incredibly yummy. The portion for the Aguadito soup was especially ENORMOUS, easily double what I expected to receive. Everything was also packaged with care for the different types and temperatures of food - really excellent service there too!

Service here is amazing. Patty was great! Came on Sunday following Thanksgiving. They were having a Black Friday special. We got free drink tastings and the dishes were 15% for dining in! Loved the lomo saltado. The mixed ceviche was fabulous and the portion was pretty large. Make sure to ask for extra aji verde for dipping fries and anything else your heart desires!

One of new favorite neighborhood restaurants! Lonzo's has been on my bucket list and I was absolutely thrilled I had the opportunity to finally try it. I came here with a friend for dinner time. When we arrived, I was nervous we wouldn't be able to get a table since the restaurant was busy and buzzing with some much energy! You can tell it's a neighborhood favorite. We waited about 10 minutes and were promptly sat by the amazing staff. The restaurant has a family feel to it. While we were there, live music was playing which added to the cozy family feeling. For food, we ordered the Lobster guacamole and chips and the pesto pasta with steak. Everything was absolutely delicious and the flavors were so harmonious. Additionally, quite a few people celebrated their birthdays that day which added to the excitement and happiness feeling of the restaurant. I highly recommend and will come back!

    Sizzling scallops
    Elaine T.

I used to live walking distance away, but didn't try Lonzo's until I moved driving distance away. It's worth the drive if you order a few of their dishes. I sent with several friends so we got a good variety of different menu items. The scallops were done perfectly, served sizzling with vegetables, they were a hit with the scallop lovers. The salmon was also very tasty, not overcooked or under seasoned, served with a fresh salad. They are one of the few places in town who serve octopus and they do a good job, it was tender and well seasoned but expensive for the serving. A few dishes missed: the chicken fried rice had dry chicken but great fried rice. The beef tongue was sliced too thin and had no seasoning. My friends loved the caramel flan.

Now, at first bite, for some odd reason, I thought the dish was going to be hot, but it was cold and absolutely delicious! Taking our server Mauricio's advice, I tried each item separately on my plate and then mixed it up... Yummy! New flavors had my taste buds doing a happy dance over and over again! Haha! I would absolutely 100% get this dish again! The flavors were electric once combined! Turn up the Heat | Our server Mauricio asked my spice level and I confidently said spicy! He asked if I was sure and I told him the story about me being in India, requesting a spicier version of a dish & the Chef coming out to take a look at me, because he couldn't believe I wanted spicier! Haha! Comedy Hour | I was enjoying every flavorful bite of the Fish Ceviche, when all of a sudden my body started to heat up! I was like, I can handle a bit of spice... And then suddenly my tongue got really warm and I could hardly feel it... Then my eyes started to water... And suddenly I lost focus in the conversation I was having with my friend & the traveler! I could hardly talk, because it was honestly that spicy! Haha! I bet it was also the sneaky little red onions, in addition to the other spices! Help, Please | I spotted Mauricio and asked him if he had any bread or yogurt, because my mouth was on fire! He didn't! He recommended water, which I had already tried! The girl at the next table told her to rub her eye with her hair... Which oddly helped! Plantains | I can always appreciate plantains, as I love them! They arrived at our table and quite plentiful! I appreciated that the flavor was just the right amount of sweet and savory... Perfect! As conversation flowed easily between me, my friend, and the traveler! I invited him to enjoy the plantains with us, which he did! Fried Rice | My friend, ordered this dish and invited me to share it with her! OMG! He really wanted us to have the Peruvian experience, considering it was both me and my friends first time having Peruvian food... as far as I know! Seating | Both inside and outside! We sat on the outside patio! Happy Meeting | While waiting for my friend to arrive at the restaurant, a friendly worldwide traveler, who was currently in town, helped me with the menu! Though his meal included chicken, a dish he frequently orders when he's in town, he invited me to explore the veggie part of the menu and mentioned that the food was really good here! Something made me trust his recommendation and I'm glad I did! We had fun chatting with the friendly traveler! Overall | Oh my goodness! Hahaha! Between the flavorful Fish Ceviche that was too hot to handle, sweet and savory Plantains, the customer service via Mauricio, an extension of me and my friends spa day, & other friendly customers, made for a memorable evening! When I finally logged into Yelp to do just that, I was genuinely saddened to see that this place has since closed. It honestly broke my heart, because this was one of those dining experiences that truly stayed with me. From the moment we arrived, the ambiance was stunning--beautiful rooftop vibes, warm energy, and a space that immediately made you feel like you were about to experience something special. The food itself was absolutely phenomenal. Every dish we tried was thoughtfully executed, beautifully plated, and bursting with flavor. You could taste the care, creativity, and intention behind each bite. The Peruvian inspiration throughout the menu was both authentic and elevated, striking the perfect balance between comfort and sophistication. One of the most memorable parts of the experience was the chef herself coming out to introduce herself. She was incredibly kind, welcoming, and passionate. You could tell she truly poured her heart into her food. She took the time to explain the inspiration behind the dishes, and it made the entire meal feel even more meaningful. That level of personal touch is rare and so appreciated. Looking back at these photos now just reminds me how special this place was. Delicious food, a talented and thoughtful chef, and an overall experience that left a lasting impression. Amazing taste, a huge sized sandwich on a super soft french bread roll, my Dad had the Roasted Garlic Chicken served with white rice, black beans and onions, he loved his meal, he could not get over the amazing taste of the chicken and the onions. The one regret he had was not ordering the Ox Tail like he originally had planned but he was so excited to have the chicken, maybe next time. Either way we had a great time hanging out and enjoying the ambiance and the amazing food.

They've redone the interior and it has a nice clean look. The staff here were very attentive and nice. The food came out pretty quickly as well. We ordered the sampler as an appetizer. I loved the potato balls, they were my favorite. For my entree I ordered the Arroz con Pollo. Every bite was absolutely amazing, full of flavor! The chicken was falling off the bone it was so tender. The plantains were probably the best I've ever had. This restaurant is comfort food at its best!

Served with rice that's also seasoned well. Top it with the green sauce and it's 100! It comes with a small bowl of the chicken soup which was super flavorful and good. Got a side of plantains which were yummy. Had to ask for the bread, which was soooo good! Excited to come back to this location.

EL POLLO INKA - El Segundo Highly recommended!…read moreFrom the moment you walk in, the friendly service and lively Peruvian music set the perfect vibe. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and conveniently located near the corner of Sepulveda and PCH in El Segundo. The complimentary soup, filled with vegetables and tiny pasta, is a tasty way to start the meal. The Pollo a la Brasa ( 1/2 Chicken) was cooked to perfection--juicy, flavorful, and served with a (mid) side salad. Don't miss the delicious green ají sauce, which has a little kick and perhaps a hint of mayonnaise. Your choice of garlic rice, French fries, or beans comes with the meal. My recommendation: order the garlic rice and generously top it with the green sauce. Yum! The Papa Rellena was another standout--crispy on the outside and packed with seasoned beef and Peruvian olives on the inside. It comes with a cilantro-marinated red onion salad and an extra serving of that addictive green sauce on the side. For dessert, we shared five delicious homemade mini alfajores--the perfect sweet ending to a fantastic meal. We'll definitely be back!
