    Pupusas!
    alexandra k.

This place is just around the corner, and glad I stopped in. The portions are large and filling (I ordered two pupusas for lunch which was slightly more than I could eat!) You also get a plantain meduro if you order at least 2 pupusas! The indoor dining area is tight, but they also have outdoor tables set up with shade. Come early, and be prepared to wait! The line moves slowly (I was about 6 or 7th in line, and took me about 15 minutes to get to the front of the line), and they have signage up saying food could take up to 30 minutes as food is to order. They're known for their pupusas, but I also heard their tamales are good. Even though I was there at noon on Sunday, they only had one of their three tamale options available that Sunday :( Note, they take credit card, but have a $1 surcharge per transaction

I stumbled on this spot for lunch while looking at places close to church after service one day and ever since, I try to go back atleast once a month! The owner/workers are so kind and there were times where we got service and they gave us extra pupusas or drinks or this banana dessert they have. The ambiance is bright with people & workers laughing, music playing, and good food! The last time I went I got the grilled fish of the day, my friends both got the breakfast tronquito, and we couldn't pass up on getting the gourmet pupusas to share. Grilled Salmon 5/5: exactly what I was looking for that morning because I didn't need anything heavy, but was looking for more veggies and the plate definitely had a lot of them with a healthy dollop of guacamole on top! Gourmet Pupusas 5/5: we got them stuffed with jalapeño, carne asada, and cheese and they were huge! The spicy slaw that came with them were very refreshing to eat alongside them. Would definitely recommend and try. Tronquitos looked great, but I didn't have a bite of them to be able to rate them. The chips and salsa that came with them were really good though! Aquas frescas 5/5: honestly can't give it a lower rating because the owner pulled up out of nowhere towards the end of our meal and offered it to each of us. The drinks were refreshing and made our experience even better

We were greeted with a smile by the owner. She fed us like we were her own. We even got a couple papusas on the house so delicious. The Chilaquiles were great lots of flavor and crunchiness! The seafood nachos were huge lots of layers fresh seafoods including shrimp. The spot is welcoming and bright. Three boarders is A mid city gem!! Smells good too!!

Upon entering you're greeted with house music and I gotta say I'm here for it. It wasn't too loud and the mix was great so I couldn't complain. The service was prompt as we ordered to-go and maybe waited 10 minutes. The breakfast tronquito (burrito) was so good. Perfect ratio of ingredients, flavors were great, and ample amount of sausage.

I am blown away how amazing Three Borders Brunch and Grill is. The food is outstanding and delicious. The enchiladas, burrito, and pupusas were delightful. It's one of the best places in LA. The owners are incredibly friendly. It's very mom and pop and you will be treated so well here. Will be back!

Had a great breakfast here over the weekend. No wait, lovely service, and delicious food. The customizable breakfast pupusas were a hit, and the restaurant manager has plenty of popular recommendations. We ended up going for chorizo, potato, and cheese pupusas and bacon, cheese, and bean. They came with a delicious sweet little fried banana Also got the carne asada chilaquiles. Very large portion, make sure to add avocado on top. Not sure what the pink sauce was but I did not ask questions!! The strawberry agua Fresca was delicious and also ginormous

El Guanaco (jalapeños added to the scrambled eggs), Breakfast Tronquito (avocado added), and the cucumber-apple Aguas Fresca

Such a great find! Everything was fresh and perfectly cooked, portion sizes were great (especially those drinks - massive, vibrant agua fresca for $6), and the service was beyond friendly and attentive. I still can't get over how good this pupusa was. The only downside to my experience was that I'm pretty sure my tip was added twice (there was an issue with my first payment attempt and we didn't think it had gone through - otherwise, I'm not sure how two breakfast plates and two drinks added up to $64). But it clearly wasn't intentional, so not a huge deal. We'll be back!

The people are nice. The food however, definitely not for me. I tried a few different items and was not impressed, especially for the prices. The chilaquiles were more like Nachos and the salsa used for them was over loaded with Jalapeño juice. Huge disappointment. The $6 pupusa was average, nothing special about it. Lacking flavor if you ask me. The vegetables used for it were old and looked like they were used the day before. The orange drink was highly disappointing also giving a gassy taste with almost no flavor. Giving the extra stars for the staff who again was nice.

This place is aaaaaamazing! The pupusas were cheesy and full of flavor, the shrimp cocktails tasted fresh, and the fish tacos were delicious! Don't skip the loaded fries; they're huge and perfect for sharing. The handmade tortillas and fresh aguas frescas tie everything together. Everything is made fresh to order, so yes, there's a bit of a wait but 100% worth it. The service was AMAZING -- super friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. Restaurant is family friendly. Big portions, great prices, and delicious food, will be coming back soon. Thank you TBB

Three Borders Brunch is the best. And Yanira is the best. Food is so authentic, homey, stacked, and delicious. Everything was phenomenal. Come hungry. You won't regret it. The service is beyond friendly and hospitable. Yanira makes you feel right at home. She's a gem. And the ambiance is so charming, cozy, festive and inviting. I love this spot. So glad my friends and I came. 5/5 spot for sure.

My wife and I looked at the line at Republique and decided to look elsewhere nearby. Three Borders 4.8 stars is a high bar for a restaurant and I had saved it to my collection a few months ago to try. So glad we did. The sweetest, friendliest place and thee creative, Salvadoran-based food is beyond delicious and generously portioned. Yamira, who runs it, is a total sweetheart. Don't hesitate a moment, Just go.

Do not sleep on Three Borders! I've driven by this place several times and finally decided to give it a go. I'm so happy we discovered it! As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with friendly service and hospitality. They have a huge extensive menu filled with breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. The only problem is that they close at 6 so make sure to swing by for an early dinner! Their Pupusas are out of this world good and everything is made to order fresh so you may need to wait a few mins for your food but it's worth it. I am honestly so happy we have a great Mexican restaurant so close to home now and can't wait to come back!

Wow. This felt like stepping into your family's kitchen and having a home cooked meal while catching up. Janita makes everything herself and uses only fresh ingredients. We were stuffed, the food was delicious, and, because we went on a slower day, we were able to talk to the staff and learn a bit about them and the history of their lovely restaurant. There were even a few surprises along the way. They treated us like one of their own and were enthusiastic about answering questions, never annoyed. Help keep them in business and stop by for a genuine and tasty experience. The only thing warmer than the food was the service! Five stars all the way!

The line can get pretty long, but it moves surprisingly fast, so don't let that scare you away. Once you get your food, you'll need to find your own seat somewhere in the food court, which can be a little chaotic when it's busy. The seafood was definitely the highlight for me. Everything tasted really fresh, bright, and limey which worked perfectly with the tacos. The citrus and acidity kept the seafood tasting light and refreshing, while the toppings and sauces added enough flavor without overpowering the main ingredients. I really enjoyed the tacos and liked how clean and fresh everything tasted. It's a nice change from heavier, more traditional taco spots, especially if you're in the mood for seafood. Overall, the setup is a little unconventional, but the food is absolutely worth it. I'd definitely come back for the seafood tacos, especially when I'm craving something fresh, citrusy, and flavorful.

I understand that steaks can vary slightly in size and shape, but this was not a slight difference. When I'm paying the same premium price, I expect reasonably comparable portions. Getting one good-sized steak and one significantly smaller piece for the exact same price just doesn't feel fair. I've been a repeat customer and have ordered this dish many times, which is why I was especially disappointed.
