The entire process for my initial PPD test, including wait time, took only about 30 minutes. Tim was communicative throughout the visit, clearly explaining the process, what to expect, and when I needed to return for the test reading. His instructions were easy to understand and helped me feel informed and prepared. Would not see my husband said that he had expired insurance and there was a system error on their side when we called and said that the insurance was active they still said they wouldn't see him. They were laughing at other customers and denied another lady who clearly had an appointment extremely rude and unprofessional this urgent care loan makes makes me want to switch back to Kaiser so I don't have to deal with this unprofessionalism. read more

Extremely disappointing experience at Concentra Urgent Care in Murrieta. I arrived with both of my daughters at approximately 9:35 AM for lingering wet/productive coughs. We had the entire check-in process completed before 10:00 AM. I came to this particular facility because I had called Blue Shield beforehand and was specifically directed here as an urgent care contracted with our Optum medical group. We then waited over two hours before finally being called into an exam room. During that time, we watched multiple people who arrived after us get called back. I understand that urgent care is not necessarily first-come, first-served and that patients with more urgent medical needs may appropriately be prioritized. My issue is the excessive amount of time we waited combined with the lack of communication. Unfortunately, getting called into a room didn't mean the wait was over. We then spent approximately ANOTHER HOUR sitting in the exam room. Staff completed intake questions, and we were eventually told that a provider would be coming "soon." We waited another 20+ minutes after being told that, and still no provider came. After nearly three hours total, we had reached our limit and needed to leave. Neither of my daughters received the medical evaluation we came for, and I now have to make appointments elsewhere to have their coughs evaluated. The front-office experience made an already frustrating situation worse. The staff were not welcoming or particularly helpful, communication about the delay was poor, and I repeatedly had to ask for updates rather than being given a realistic expectation of the wait. I completely understand that healthcare facilities can become busy and unexpected delays happen. However, there is a difference between an unavoidable wait and having a family spend nearly three hours at an urgent care--including approximately an hour sitting in an exam room--with very little communication and ultimately leaving without either child being evaluated by a medical provider. I am especially disappointed because I called Blue Shield first and followed their direction about where to take my daughters. After this experience, I would not return to this Concentra location, and I will also be filing a grievance with Blue Shield regarding the referral and our inability to obtain care. read more

I went in for a standard urine analysis for a new job. I went on a Friday to avoid the mid week rush of patients. I was greeted promptly by the front staff, was checked in a few minutes after and waited. They have clean water to drink and I waited for 15 minutes or so. When it was time for me to "go," Mr. Tim called my name. For the end of the day he was exceptionally warm and welcoming. He clearly explained the process and threw in a few punchlines that made me laugh. It lightened the mood and made my visit fun rather than just business. I'm a patient at the Murrieta facility. I do therapy as well and i must say the therapist are top notch. They are very professional, they see what your injury is then talk to you to get a feel for you as a patient and what your experiencing. the therapist start you off with stretching and exercise. My husband came to this location for a simple physical test for work and had the worst experience. He arrived at opening time and checked in with the first line. He was told it was only going to be an hour and a half. An hour and a half turned into 3 before he was seen. The office ladies were professional other than giving an inaccurate time. But Tim had a very bad attitude towards my husband who is the sweetest most patient man. Very unprofessional. I recommend that Tim be more courteous towards the clients who have been waiting for 3 hours to be seen and the office ladies give an actual accurate wait time as people have other plans in the day. read more

I've never experienced such an unbelievably long wait time in my life. I sat there forever, and not a single person seemed to care. No updates, no apologies, nothing. It honestly felt like everyone working there had checked out mentally. The lack of urgency and basic customer service was shocking. Quality of care and professionalism from the medical personnel in the BACK office was impeccable. The front office personnel was extremely unorganized and a bit rude. I waited 2 hours to be seen but I have no complaints about that. After I completed my physical I was instructed to sit and wait for paperwork. After an hour of waiting I approached the front desk and asked about my paperwork. They asked my name, started scrambling around. Asked my name again. Left me standing there for 10 minutes then asked my name a 3rd time. I watched as they dug through file cabinets. Checked drawers. Finally someone popped up with a folder that had my name on it. They stated I was all done and could leave. If that was the case I could have left an hour and 20 minutes ago. Anywho total time to get a 15 minute physical and 10 minute urine test was nearly 4 hours. Hopefully I won't be back. read more

Physical and drug screen for a new job took 2 and a half hours -- of which only 20 minutes (max) were spent with clinical staff -- to pee in a cup and touch my toes. Absurd. Clinical staff is kind and friendly, but front desk staff is not. No smiles or pleasantries, and seem bothered to be there and interacting with visitors. Sets the tone for the visit, along with MSNBC cranked on the TV, other visitors listening to videos on their phone with the volume up, and the AC set to arctic blast. Bring headphones and a sweatshirt and get comfy, because you will be here for an hour, to start. Online forms are redundant and will take 30 minutes to complete, along with clipboard paperwork containing the same exact questions. Nonsensical. I don't understand why there isn't a more efficient process for visitors to check in -- like being able to fill out paperwork at home, to expedite the process and be seen upon arrival. Or let people know what position they are on the board, so they aren't left alone in an exam room for 45 minutes without a clue about the time frame. A rough estimate would be better than being told "the dr will be in soon". 45 minutes is not "soon". Better communication around timing would result in happier visitors. Concentra can do better as a company, but this specific location can do better with communication/managing timing expectations for visitors, and appointing less sullen staff at the front desk. read more

Tim was great. He made urgent care bearable which is hard to do. He was funny, kind, quick and professional. Nobody ever wants to go to urgent care but if I have to come back I hope I get Tim again. Mind you I waited 2 hours to only get seen for 15 or so minutes so that was pretty wild but finally being greeted by him made my bitterness for the wait time not feel so horrible. Don't come here if you actually are sick or hurt. We've been here over 3hrs now. It took an hour and forty five minutes just to be called back. An hour and fifteen minutes later and still waiting to take a flu and strep throat test. Meanwhile, in the waiting room everyone that was there before us got called so we thought we were next. Nope about 15 people who showed up after us were called back first. None of them looked sick or injured and they were all in and out in a couple minutes. Seems like if you need a drug test this is the place to go but not if you're actually sick or hurting. read more

The lack of empathy and professionalism at this clinic is deeply upsetting. I had a walk-in visit and was immediately turned away. When I asked why and explained that my only alternative was driving all the way to San Bernardino, I was told the doctor simply didn't want to see me. It is terrifying that a medical facility cares so little about a person's health. The first nurse I spoke to was unprofessional and had a major tone with me. While a second nurse eventually apologized, it doesn't change the fact that this facility would rather turn away a patient facing a long drive to San Bernardino just so they can end their workday early. I had knee surgery and spent about 45 hours with the physical therapy department and highly recommended this team. Taylor was an absolute pleasure to work with, she was attentive to my concerns and came up with an excellent game plan to get me back on my feet and climbing telephone poles again. She was extremely personable and a blast to chat with. Taylor was very professional and extremely knowledgeable in her craft. I never thought I would miss going to PT, but when it was completed I found myself missing the weekly interactions with this team. I felt as though I gained some friends in this office and always looked forward to going and chatting with everyone. I was treated with amazing care from the front desk with Lori, to getting ice and heat from Ari or Jay. Went here twice in the last couple weeks. The first time was bad but figured it would be easier to go back to the same place due to paperwork and all and shouldn't have. That's on me. Ha. First visit: I payed two co-pays for myself and child to both be seen. The first nurse said out loud he didn't know how to check oxygen levels, blood pressure or other items on a child.. not great. We were asked if wanted a covid test, I said sure. Then they told us they were out. Second visit: this was 1 week after the first visit. We were told our insurance isn't covered there.. it was the same insurance as a week before and nothing changed. After some time my child was seen and they said it was an infection and gave us a prescription and said our pharmacy would get in it 2 minutes. We showed up at our pharmacy (20 minutes later) and they did not receive it yet. I called this urgent care to make sure they sent it to the right place, they confirmed the address and said they would send it a second time. 10 minutes later I get a call from the urgent care saying they couldn't send the prescription cause they didn't have a pharmacy on file.. Cherry on top is we ended up having to go to the ER that evening and they said 100% doesn't have an infection and to not use the antibiotics. So 3 co-pays, 1 prescription, bunch of wasted time and multiple headaches later we were misdiagnosed anyways. read more

Lacking man power. The wait for a DOT recertification is $200+ dollars and a 2 1/2 hour wait. Unacceptable. I drove 7 miles north to Temecula Urgent Care, and was seen in 20 mins. Entire process ,the drive plus the paper work and physical was less than the mentioned wait at Concentra. Folks it was also cheaper. Don't waste your time. I really hope management reads this and makes positive changes. Manhunt reached out with the good ole AI generate message....due to hippa regulations we cannot discuss the specifics of this visit. Blah blah please call us. I told you during the check in the clerk mentioned it would be 2 1/2 hour wait and a $200+ fee. What does HIPPA have to do with that? read more

Consistently horrible service. We are an employer and EVERY single time I call the Murrieta location, I am on hold for a minimum of 20 + minutes (and then typically get disconnected when being transferred) and have to start all over. With as large of a company as Concentra is, you would think that they would be properly staffed for the needs of the clients they obtain. Not only is it next to impossible to reach the office, each time we send an employee down for treatment, they are there for over two hours. HIRE ADDITIONAL STAFF! Perhaps their marketing group or management should read some of these reviews - they all seem to have commonality. Maybe a loss of customers will open their eyes! read more

This is an edited review. It's so easy to automatically give a one star review when you're tired and wait times seem ridiculous. After taking a step back and trying to get a better understanding of Concentra, I bumped up my review to three stars. It's understandable that wait times are going to be 4+ hours when this is in fact, an Urgent Care facility and you're just walking in without an appointment. But when I was called in for getting vitals, it was still a 45 minute wait just to see a doctor. That part didn't make sense to me. For those with appointments, it's reasonably quick. I was in and out of the office within 45 minutes. From checking in to checking out. At least for an 8 o'clock appointment. Not sure if late morning or afternoon appointments are just as quick. For my second visit (appointment), I had a nurse practitioner who was very thorough and attentive to detail. She had great bedside manners and a friendly personality. I highly recommend to make an appointment if possible. But of course if an unexpected situation happens, be prepared to wait. read more
