I had a drug screening and was assigned to Concentra on a Friday morning. The waiting area was semi packed. Check-in the front desk was a quick and easy process. They asked for your phone number so they can text you a link to help speed up the process and paperwork. The link asked you simple questions and took about five minutes to fill out. After the "paperwork" the wait time was about 20 minutes until someone called me back. There was a TV to keep patients entertained but mostly everyone was on their phones. The gentleman who conducted my drug screening was cheerful and pleasant. Usually when I have to come for a drug screening, employees seem like they hate their job and make it very uncomfortable being around them. But this time around was very different. The gentleman explained the procedures and what I needed to do. The whole test took about ten minutes. The whole process took 40-45 minutes. My experience with Concentra was smooth and efficient. I've been being seen here for a work injury and the service is the absolute worst. Three physicians later a new one takes over my care(Dr.Tam B. Nguyen),by far has to be the absolute worst most unprepared,unprofessional doctor I've ever encountered. The service here is ridiculous,noone can answer simple questions,no accountability whatsoever,even from the front desk. Everyone is CLUELESS! These doctors,especially at this location are puppets for the insurance companies and their loyalty lies with them,not the patient. These are some of the most unprofessional and rude workers i've ever experienced. I've been assigned here for work injury. The doctor refuses to actually look into my injury im just told to come back every 5 days and he says the same thing! They never give me an appointment time or date im just told 5 days. My physical therapy was supposed to be assigned but I had to wait almost a month before i was seen due to lack of communication. I just got off of the phone with a receptionist in the physical therapy section. She was extremely rude; I missed a few appointments due to car trouble and I explained that to her. With an attitude dhe explained "well you have to see the doctor its been too long, thank you and bye bye" She hung up in my face as I was talking still asking will the doctor contact me or do I just walk in. If I can give the place ZERO stars I would. I was on hold to speak with one of the doctors about reading my TB test to confirm my appointment. The women on the phone was absolutely rude and dismissive. I understand that they close at 4pm on Saturdays. However, I went to a clinic off Sam Houston Pkwy South and they called the doctor here at 12345 Katy Fwy to confirm and was told I was good to come in. Outside of the Nice Staff in the back that do your Blood Pressure and Urine Drug test the Asian decent Doctor DOSENT KNOW HOW to evaluate or do a DOT Physical. Claimed I was 5"7 when I'm actually 5"10. So we had to redo that then he wants to argue back and forth with me about me Having Sleep apnea when the prior 3 doctors for other jobs I was potentially going to take all gave me 2yrs for my DOT medical cards literally a week prior‍. Arrived for a drug test. The front desk was understaffed and the woman working it alone was pleasant. The wait to go back was fair all things considered. However they called 3 of us back at the same time. The issue arises when 2 other people go before the 3 of us who were called back because there's only 1 slot to hold the files. So when she adds someone to the queue they get added to the front of the queue. That. Makes. No. Sense. At the time of this posting, Concentra is basically owned by Humana. So if you have Humana you're good. You should check if your insurance is accepted before going if you use another company. The first time I went it was a bit of a mess, no one knew what to do with my insurance (Humana) and they didn't even take a co pay. It took like 3 hours to be seen as well. The other times I went, the process was faster and I was in and out quickly. As long as you remember this is a alternative to the ER, you should be fine. Don't expect too much from a rotating door clinic. Wait times can vary depending how many people are there and how many staff members. Overall I would go back, but don't expect much from the doctors or nurses. read more

This place sucks!!! They gave me an appointment time for 1030am. I checked in and turned in my paperwork for said appointment at 1025am, it's now 1104am and I'm still waiting. They may seem good, but keeping patients informed, they suck! At 1215 I left, without being seen by a doctor for a scheduled appointment. I asked what the delay was, and they claimed "They" pulled a doctor from their rotation. If that's the case, then why didn't they inform the patients that they were going to be delayed. Why couldn't they look at the book and inform schedule appointments of delays and see if we wanted to reschedule. I really hope this place gets shut down. There's got to be other facilities that employers can send their employees to for mandatory appointments, workman comp cases, or just families needing urgent care! read more

Concentra locations vary greatly. The East Columbus Ohio location does a good job for its patients. They do not have appointments, only walk-in, so you need to set your expectations to having to wait. However, they are very good at estimating how long the wait will be. I was advised it would be 1 1/2 to 2 hours,and that's exactly what it was. Tay was very helpful with the checkin process, and Suad did a fine job explaining the process and drawing blood for my employer screening. Bring a book to read and a bottle of water, and you'll be well taken care of. read more

I went to the location on the 410 for work related hearing loss. The doctor came in and asked me if I currently had ear pain. I said no; I'm here for loss of hearing. He asked me if my ears were currently ringing. I said no; I'm here for hearing loss. He never asked me what my job was or why I felt it was work related. He looked in one ear, smirked at me, and said, "This is not work related." Now I have to fly 1800 miles to see a specialist. This is insanity. I understand a lot of people "work" the workers' compensation system. I am not one of them. Complete waste of time to see the most jaded, incompetent, irresponsible doctor ever. read more

Got call to the back at 11:09 , it is now 12:25 and I'm still sitting in this cold room waiting to be seen about a BACK injury that happened at work I was hit while working (I carry mail) . came in for a pinched nerve, i was sent for workers comp and a doctors note and this was the closest clinic. i waited for 2 hours in the waiting room before they called me back. i waited in the room for an hour before anybody even walked in. a total of 3 HOURS before i could go home. their system was down so i didn't get my paperwork, i had to return the next day to get it. they asked me to come back for a check up a few days later, now i'm here again currently writing this in the waiting room, 2 hours after i arrived. they close in 30 minutes. i'm going on 6 hours total of waiting in this clinic, 3 round trips, and 2 gallons of gas to drive out here. do better. read more

I have been coming here for 6 months or more for drug screens that I have to complete for a program I am in. The employees here are SO nice. Especially Damien. He works the front desk. He is beyond nice. He does small things to cut your wait time in 1/2. There are a few other ladies that are super nice as well ( I'm not sure of their names). Idk why there are such bad reviews. Absolutely terrible. Been waiting here for hours. They only count the hours after you get put in a small room, not the ones they make you wait at the beginning. Patients are wandering out of their rooms looking for anyone who can answer questions. Apparently all the doctors went to lunch. And some "procedure" is happening...... at a urgent care clinic. An assistant is offering snacks to the growing restless patients to hush up. Not even taking into account someone might have diet restrictions in a clinic. I am writing about the positive experience at this location. Everyone was polite and kind. The ladies at reception and check out were gracious. Toya was fantastic - she changed gloves frequently and walked me thru each procedure. She treated me with respect and compassion. I was impressed with the teamwork with Toya and Anna- I am a difficult blood draw and they were patient and professional. In a situation that can be frustrating for a medical professional neither demonstrated frustration with me. Dr. Ama was a joy. Thorough and approachable she also explained what she was doing prior to ensure I was at ease. She also used excellent hand hygiene protocol. Overall great experience by a solid team. My son came in with a laceration on his ring finger. He checked in at 11am March 17th. A paramedic and a nurse brought him into the examination room at 12 noon. Two hours later we're wait. Should be called SLOW AF care. Like 100% of the reviews stated, you will wait minimum 3 hrs. Called the location and asked the estimate to SEE a doctor they gave me 1-1.5 hrs. Welp I spent 2 hrs waiting to be admitted to a room then an additional hr to see a doctor. Which is ridiculous because to see a doctor in most fields range from 1-2hrs, and urgent care is supposed to be faster than going to ER. I don't understand how why i waited for so long to be spoken to a doctor who only saw us for 5 minutes and did not even treat anything... So we just ended up going to ER which had barely of a wait and we were treated properly. THEIR SYSTEM NEEDS TO BE FIXED. No pts should wait over 2 hrs to see a doctor. This is by far the worst clinic I have ever been to. I waited well over an hour to be called back and waited another hour and a half to get finished up. I'm glad I read the Yelp reviews before coming, seemed like most of the concentra locations have poor reviews, but unfortunately this was the designated company for me to get some bloodwork, fit-mask test, and a drugscreen done for my job. I decided to just settled to go to this one based on several factors including the fact that they do bloodwork until 4 PM while the one on Kirby doesn't do bloodwork after 2 PM. I believe some things may be by appointment, but most of the services are just performed on a walk in basis which kind of sucks. Especially since they aren't very transparent about the order in which they take people back since some people will get to go back before you despite coming after you. I had the paperwork filled out before I came and my wait was about 30-35 minutes. The appointment itself took some time because each activity/test was performed in a different room/area and sometimes I had to wait for others. I'd say my actual appointment time took maybe 1 hour. Unfortunately, I had to go back again for a repeat t spot because the results came back borderline even though I had just had one a month prior that came back negative (somewhere else for another job). And once again, I had to wait 30-40 minutes. The first time, the process was very painless, but this time not so much. The lady forced me to laydown to take blood which was a first for me since everyone else usually does it while I sit. She complained about my veins being "bad" and thin before and then proceeded to prick me and then immediately removed the needle because I guess she didn't get it in? Then she pricked my other arm and I've gotten bloodwork done before, but this was probably one of my more painful draws. I was acutely aware of the needle in my vein and it felt sore. I do think that the process felt more painful than normal because it was drawn out. Perhaps I've just been fortunate that other people know how to draw blood well, but this was the first time that I've had to be pricked more than once for a blood draw. Anyways, I'd never CHOOSE to go here if I needed something down. read more
