Line dancing in Moody Amphitheater park managed by Waterloo Greenway was such a refreshing and delightful experience. There's something special about being outdoors, music playing, and people of all ages coming together just to dance and have fun....Family friendly event. The open space made it feel relaxed and welcoming with good vibes only . The dances were easy to follow, whether you were a beginner or had some experience line dancing, and the sense of community was amazing. Strangers quickly turned into friendly dance partners. Also, plenty of laughs were shared throughout the evening. The fresh air and upbeat music made the whole experience feel uplifting and energizing. It's a perfect way to get some exercise in without it feeling like a workout. This is a great reminder of how fun simple activities can be. Importantly, the Line Dancing was free to the public...6-10 pm. Line dancing in the park is something I would absolutely do again and highly recommend to anyone looking for a fun, social, feel‑good way to spend an evening.

During SXSW I went to free shows here and it got really freezing and staff saw that I had been sitting in a box seat area (that's where I found a good seat and nobody told me to move) and they came over and gave me hand warmers.

Lovely space, reasonable seating, expensive beverages, no designated parking area. There are screens on either side of the stage to view the artists. This was helpful because it's always difficult to see with people in front of you. Overall, I like the space, it's probably much nicer when the weather is pleasant. Surprisingly you can't hear anything happening at DK Royal stadium, which was surprising.

I heart this place. Why? I got to attend a special concert with my special someone and my brother from another mother. But that's not the only reason. The sounds are awesome, no over saturated songs. The service at the concession stands is efficient and the staff is always friendly and quick. Getting in can be a bit crowded and cramped but once you're inside, it's easy sailing. Getting out is also a bit of a trick but I suspect there are a ton of secret exits to discover. Easy in, easy out.

In the heart of downtown Austin, Moody outdoor Amphitheater with a 5,000-capacity, is located in Waterloo Park, 11 acres of revitalized space featuring hike-and-bike trails, stunning Hill Country Gardens, welcoming gathering spaces. With year-round concerts, cultural events, community festivals, and so much more, Moody Amphitheater is your new go-to destination for live entertainment in downtown Austin. I have been to several concerts at this venue, including Boy George with Spoon and most recently Teddy Swims. You have to go through a metal detector to enter at the gate and then wait in a line to scan your ticket. They offer a wide variety of concession options throughout the venue, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, food, and snacks. They are 100% cashless. They have a water filling station for hydration, but the water is not cold. The seats had good views from the area we were in. There is also an option to buy tickets to a green space in the back with open unassigned seating. There is not much shade so it can get very hot so it is important to stay hydrated. Overall, I have enjoyed coming to shows are this venue and this it is a very thoughtful and well designed outdoor green space.

Nice and compact amphitheater venue. We went for Goth Babe and Quinn Xcii and the sound was so clear and crisp. I even thought it was a record and they didn't sing lol. We didn't have any food but there were some options.

This was my first time catching a concert at the amphitheater. My partner and I came to see Briston Maroney and Peach Pit, and we had seats on the lawn just behind the GA section. My initial impression was that the GA section was extremely small. It also looks like it would be unbearably hot in there. I definitely felt lucky to have a seat! We ended up checking the available tickets that were left and saw that there was a whole row available a few rows in front of us, so we moved up. I appreciated that there were huge water coolers spread out throughout the venue, and I also liked that there were real bathrooms instead of porta potty's. However, the bathrooms had no AC, very long lines, and were pretty dirty with minimal toilet paper. For parking, we parked on the east side of i35 and walked over. There is free parking on a lot of those side streets. Overall, it's a good venue that is centrally located, but tough to sit there during the hot summer months and some downsides just because of how many people are there at once. Nevertheless, I do think I'll be back at some point!

Venue is not big at all but love the space. Everything is perfect about it except no designated parking and drinks are crazy expensive. Typical venue prices so no biggie. Employees were attentive and helpful all through the venue. Would recommend

I've been to Moody a couple times now, but most recently to see Jelly Roll in concert. The venue itself is good overall. The seating can be a bit tight. There really isn't a bad seat/view. I've sat in the lower level and upper level, center and sides, and had a good view each time. The upper level really isn't that far from the performer compared to other venues. We learned the hard way there's only one escalator to the second level so if you walk away from that one, you'll have to complete a full circle or take the stairs. Jelly roll put on a wonderful show. The lines for concessions went quickly and there were plenty of options for overpriced food and drinks. We ended up getting chicken waffle fry nachos, which was decent. We were running late to the concert due to traffic so we ended up purchasing parking in one of the state parking garages nearby. There are many garages to choose from. Parking was $30 card only. No matter where you park, there's going to be a walk to the venue.

Technically a seasonal venue, the Moody offers more than just a live music venue. From Creek Show in the fall to summer strolls down Waller Creek to all the amenities of a park scape, Waterloo Greenway culminates in the Amphitheater. They have full concessions (usually at least one food truck is open for at least half the show), available vip upgrades on seating, and several nearby parking garages. The volunteers do a great job of helping you navigate the venue.

During 2021, I had the chance to see 311/Iration here. Iration played but 311 did not due to a thunderstorm about to come. Obviously I left being disappointed. Flash forward a few years to late mid-August of 2024 and 311 is here again with AWOL Nation and Neon Trees. Of course I wouldn't pass this up. The venue being outdoors, the entrance can be congested due to the bag searches so know which line you need to go into. Once you get in, the floorplan shows a curved area for seats with a standing area at the stage for up-close viewings. My friend and I got seats on the left side of the lawn but was able to see the bands pretty good. As always, all the bands crushed it and brought the energy. Sound quality is decent as it stays within the venue although you'll probably hear the music blocks away. The venue is a bit of a walk from city restaurants/bars so be prepared to get your steps in. I'll probably be here for another show down the road. Prayers no issues with weather!

A great venue for night events with a large lawn, stage, and adequate restrooms. Food and services depend on your bar and caterers.

This venue looks really nice because it's in a nice park, but it's one of my least favourite in Austin. I've been in the VIP lawn section with chairs and the regular lawn section. The VIP lawn is way better because at least you can see the artists on stage. The general lawn section is really crowded, so they should cut down the number of tickets for that section. Throughout the whole show, you can see people walking on the sidewalk if you're in general lawn. When it's dark outside, it's also really annoying to see people constantly going in and out of the restrooms because the door opening makes the light shine everywhere. It's such a weird placement to put the restrooms right on either side of the stage in full view of the audience. The food is ridiculously expensive as my friend bought a pretzel for $12. Drinks were also crazy overpriced. They let you bring in one unopened bottled water. It's good to bring a blanket or towel for the lawn. There are a lot of nearby parking garages. I go to a lot of concerts by myself, but this is definitely not a venue I would go to solo. People were talking atrociously loudly on the lawn. I could barely hear the music. Talking during the performance is an issue at every concert venue, but this one was the worst experience I've had. Paying $50 for the lawn experience is a very bad deal. The only thing I liked was the view of the Capitol and other surrounding buildings.

It includes two tickets in a semi private area, a parking pass, two alcoholic drinks each, unlimited non alcoholic beverages, and a full buffet. The view was unobstructed and excellent. There is an elevator that takes you directly to the correct level, which makes access easy. The bathrooms were clean, close by, and had no lines. The dedicated area for food and drinks meant we avoided the long bar lines, which was a big plus. The buffet included salad, vegetables, mashed potatoes, chicken, carved beef, rolls, and desserts. The line moved quickly and the food was enjoyable. The Good While the food was solid, the seating area does not include tables to place your food or drinks. The seats did not appear to be larger than standard seating and there is no additional legroom. (I'm 5'10") That was a bit surprising for a premium package. Although the view was unobstructed, the venue could benefit from additional jumbo screens placed around the arena. The main screen could also be zoomed in more to enhance the experience. The Bad The sound quality was the most disappointing part of the night. The music was too loud and at times you could not hear the artists clearly. Both Anthony Hamilton and Fantasia are powerhouse vocalists who do not need heavy production. Instead of clear, crisp voice isolation, they sounded muffled. After multiple audience complaints, the sound improved, but it was distracting and took away from the experience. The package also advertised dedicated guest services and event staff support. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. We could not find anyone to help us locate our seats or answer questions. The only visible staff were those managing the buffet and the check in area. For a premium experience, that was frustrating. Overall Despite the issues, I had a great time with my friend and we truly enjoyed the concert. I would consider using the All In Premium Loge Package again, but with adjusted expectations. Tips * Avoid the main entrance and use a secondary entrance for quicker entry. * If you do not have a bag, use the express line. (We had small clear bags and were allowed to use th express lane) * Download your tickets to your wallet before you get to the event. * The highway exit for the event can feel chaotic with heavy traffic and aggressive drivers. Consider driving past the first entrance and heading to the second exit. * Take your time after the event to avoid the traffic jam. All in all, it was a fun night. With a few operational improvements, especially around sound quality and guest services, the experience could move from good to great.

I convinced my buddy to go with me to an opening series game where the Round Rock Express faced the Gwinnett Stripers. We agreed to go on a Wednesday to get our dollar hot dog night on. You know how that goes. Of course, going to every sporting event feels like they are going to nickel and dime you. It's $15 for parking, so if you can carpool, I'd highly recommend it. Beers range from $12 for domestic to $14 for craft. Everything is pricey. The hot dogs still remained $2 the whole night. Selfishly, I ate 5 over the nine innings. I didn't eat much through the day, and a decent ballpark dog was calling my name. As for the actual game, it was over by the second inning. The night was very windy, so no balls had a chance to go yard. The Stripers scored 6 runs at the top of the 2nd and it was 7 scoreless innings for the Express. Ay caramba. The nice gentleman in front of us was at the game with his wife and gave us good conversation. We watched kids rabid for the flying foul balls. Sometimes the game isn't even the most entertaining part because the stadium has a story of its own. The hot dogs were very nice. At a dollar, they could be lukewarm, soggy, and wrinkled, but they were dense, flavorful, and actually pretty good. Sometimes I wonder if dollar dogs are cheaper and they probably are, but you couldn't fool me. They weren't jumbo quarter-pound dogs by any means, but they were a normal quality-sized wiener. I drank a draft of the Love Street Blonde, one of my favorite common craft beverages, and got a can of Michelob Ultra from a very nice hawker that I obviously tipped. I just don't really like Michelob Ultra, I realize. I took a stroll through the Dell Diamond before leaving and there's a lot of cool spots from their yard in the back, which is great for just relaxing during the game, though the view isn't the most ideal for the action (great for bombs though). There's a full bar as well with baseball simulators and TVs showing other games, but if I'm paying money to park and watch a game, maybe that's not the move IMO. Regardless of the Express getting rocked by the Stripers, I had a great time and want to return to more Express games this season. As a young adult, the deals on weekdays are too good to pass up. Thursday might be a move in the future for those $4 domestics, $7 drafts, and cheaper food options around the park. Maybe next time the Express will get more runs than hot dogs I ate. I love the historical brick architecture and it is one of the more aesthetically pleasing buildings on campus. Parking can be a challenge but there are paid garage options available. I have been here on several occasions to watch the UT women's volleyball team play home matches. I have sat in the bleachers and also in the bench seating and all seats have a great view of the floor. The venue is very intimate and had a loud, close-up atmosphere so you fell immersed in the game. This location is also a meeting hub for local clubs and activities. Met up here for the Longhorn runs and packet pick-up. Access to the gym facility is restricted to current UT students and individuals with a current RecSports membership or Day Pass. As a UT student, I also used the workout facilities. They have a variety of activities and amenities and it is a very nice gym facility. I used to do all my strength workouts in the weight room and they have an indoor track and basketball courts.

The women's volleyball team has been solid over the past few years and the tickets were relatively cheap so I figured I'd get us tickets. As soon as we walked into the venue, we could feel the energy in the building. The fans were going crazy throughout the game. Definitely surprised us and exceeded our expectations. Basically every seat in the building has a good view of the game as well. Definitely worth checking out!
