My family has been seeing Dr. Chen for about 7 years, and it's always a great experience. I'm not sure if you call it bedside manner when there's no bed, but Dr. Chen's is great. Maybe it's because I usually set up appointments with her in the morning, but she's energetic and fun. This especially helps with my young son who loves getting his eyes checked and has a fun time with the staff while his parents are dilating. The testing part with exams is pretty typical, but I always feel like it's all very thorough and everything is super transparent. Some things to note. Retinal imaging isn't covered by VSP, so we've just done it every other year out of pocket. The glasses selection is mostly the designer brands, so even though they have some nice-looking frames, we've only purchased glasses there I think twice. But I've never felt pressured to buy anything and I'm always given my prescription after an exam. The plaza around the business can also get pretty busy during the weekdays or meal times, but they seem to space out their appointments well and don't overbook, so that the two reserved spots are available when I get there. read more

I've been coming to Concourse Optometry and seeing Dr. Chen for 8 years now, and there's a reason why I still make the drive even though I've moved to LA County. The staff is always friendly and efficient. Check-in is easy, and most of their process is done virtually or online, which saves a lot of paper. They also do very thorough follow ups beforehand so that everything is taken care of on my annual visits. Dr. Chen is one of the warmest and most caring professionals and people I've ever known. I recently moved to the area and had eye test done and Dr Chen was great! She addressed all my concerns with a lot of helpful information and the prescription was bet accurate too. There were some helpful machines I used during exam that measured the eyes that I had never seen before and those helped with diagnoses of sensitive eyes, measure pupil distance etc. I was also very pleasantly surprised to find pupil distance on my prescription as well! That information is very helpful when buying glasses and choosing prescription options etc. and I can honestly say that this establishment is far above a regular optometry 10/10! read more

I love this place! The office is small and hidden in a plaza with lots going on. There is plenty of parking but the plaza can get busy sometimes. I've been coming here for a few years and have been to other optometrists, but Dr. Chen and staff are amazing. They take their time and are super thorough with all of the exams and questions. Everyone at the office is super helpful and attentive. They really took their time helping me find frames that would fit me well and were a style I liked.
