This one a journey, buckle up lol. So I recently saw a TikTok from one of the owners here talking about being part of "the Kaleidoscope lore." Wasn't totally sure what he meant, but I was curious. He also looked Latino, so naturally I wanted to pull up and support. On this day, I was passing through on my way back from San Diego and I remembered the video. I figured why not stop in. I get to the mall and it immediately felt like the lore he was talking about. The whole place gives major post-apocalyptic shopping center energy. I parked on the first level, which was eerily empty for a Friday, next to a dumpster that had somehow become an indoor water feature courtesy of a leak in the ceiling. "Will my car be okay?" I wondered. I walk into the elevator and quickly realize it's dead. The escalators? Also dead lol. For a second I genuinely thought the power was out. When I got to the main level, I noticed every single store was dark. Baffled, I had to Google the shop just to confirm it was open. Found out it was on the top floor, so I just started climbing, half expecting to find a zombie horde and instead found the entire mall's remaining population in one spot. Phew! To be fair, apparently this mall has been struggling for years. It's not exactly a secret around here you just have to kinda find out the way I did lol. None of that is on Concrete Coffee though, they're just doing their thing inside a building that's had a rough go of it long before they showed up. But honestly, it's worth the trek. The shop itself is cute, bright, and tucked into the front of a small boutique market with a handful of other little shops and eats. The menu was easy to read and the seasonal drinks looked great. The second I saw banana cold foam I knew I was staying awhile. I'm historically weak to a good cold foam. I actually hung around for a bit afterward and watched a steady stream of people pop in the whole time, so whatever's going on with the mall, this shop is clearly doing just fine. At least I hope they are! As it turns out, my cashier was the guy from the TikTok, and we ended up chatting for a bit. He explained the whole "lore" thing and it finally clicked. Shame the shop's stuck inside a building that feels like it's actively being reclaimed by nature, but it's genuinely worth the trip. Parking's free at least!. Despite the mall's rough shape, the staff and drinks here are the real deal and they deserve the support.
We came to this place on a thursday afternoon and it was pretty empty. The baristas here are super helpful and friendly and the coffee was really good!! At first we couldn't find the coffee place but it was tucked away in this little plaza upstairs at the kaleidoscope. I would definitely recommend if you find yourself in the area:)
First time being in that plaza and it was like a ghost town. None of the elevators worked and it looked almost abandoned. Other than that, the coffee and matcha were great. Once we made it to the actual shop, it was clean and aesthetic inside. There's also other businesses surrounding the coffee shop so you can kill time when waiting for your drink. They were quick to make it because we went earlier in the morning. They had very fun and exciting drink options if you like a signature drink versus a standard latte or cold brew. I would definitely recommend!

I've been here a few times before and have always enjoyed both their coffee and matcha. This visit, I couldn't decide between the two, so I was excited to see the Matcha Americano on the menu. It's essentially an Americano topped with matcha instead of milk, making it a great option for someone like me who is lactose intolerant. The drink had a nice bold coffee and matcha flavor. I did ended up adding a little honey when I got home since I wanted a little bit of sweetness. I also have to give credit to the service. For a holiday weekend, I was surprised there was only one employee working, especially with a steady line of customers coming in. My drink took a little longer than usual, but considering the barista was taking orders, making drinks, and running the register all by herself, she was incredibly efficient and kept everything moving smoothly. Overall, another great visit, and I'll definitely be stopping by again the next time I'm in the area.
Concrete is by far the best beverage spot in OC! They always are coming up with new drinks to offer their customers. José and Jessie are what makes this place so special! They are incredibly kind and upbeat and meet everyone with a joyful smile! Today we got the seasonal flan latte and 2psl. Somehow they always get the flavoring just right!! I love their pumpkin spice lattes because they aren't extremely intense and get the proportions just right! We love concrete coffee and will drive out of our way to get their coffee it's that good!

Like most other reviews of this place, it was hard finding this place at first, but just go to the top floor to the open-concept food hall. The mall itself was pretty dead and almost haunted looking (one of the elevators doesn't work), but this place was pretty good and had a good amount of seating to chill or do work at. WiFi is from the whole mall and wasn't good so I had to use my hotspot. My drink was good and the matcha was decent quality. My only complaint was that the place smelled pretty bad- I overheard a worker explaining that happens on hot days and they were trying to fix it by adding air fresheners
My hot vanilla latte with 2% was perfect. My husband really enjoyed his Americano and said the flavor profile was wonderful.
Super good coffee!! The drinks are on the pricer side but it's so worth because the coffee is perfectly sweet while still being super strong. The cafe is surprisingly difficult to find lol but it's located inside Union Market on the second floor. My friend and I went on a Tuesday morning and there were only one or two other people so we got our orders pretty quickly. I ordered their seasonal guava shaken espresso and my friend ordered their dulce de leche latte. I couldn't really taste the guava but it was a super good basic latte! The dulce de leche was the perfect flavor though with a good balance of coffee flavor and caramel notes. Ratings Guava shaken espresso: 4/5 Dulce de leche latte: 4.5/5
I love a coffee shop that doesn't upcharge for milk replacement! I got a dulce de leche iced coffee with oat milk and it wasn't too sweet, which I enjoyed. I went at 10:30am on Tuesday so it was pretty empty, but the cafe is inside a larger market place. It would have been a cute spot to walk around if more things were open.
Something for everyone! Coffee, matcha, and lemonade. I've been visiting since they were a pop-up. They are the kindest duo, and listen to their customers and work very hard to make a great product! They are currently located in an open space, inside of the kaleidoscope shopping center.
My cousin and I started our morning at Concrete Coffee before pilates. Service was fast and really friendly. We got the strawberry matcha and a cocoa puff latte with half sweetness. Both were delicious. What stood out most was the space. It's on the top floor of a mostly empty shopping center, but the cafe itself is huge. High ceilings, lots of light, and a bunch of long tables that make it such a good place to post up with a laptop. Honestly one of the better setups I've seen for studying or getting work done. Plenty of room to spread out, easy parking, and a pretty calm atmosphere. Heavy laptop work vibes here
Got to try the Strawberry Matcha and my cousin ordered the Coco Puff Latte. The matcha was strong so beware if you like your matcha sweeter. The strawberry was fresh and had real strawberry in it. Everything was closed when I went on a Sunday so it did look and feel a little empty, but the drinks were great and service was pretty quick.

Love this place! Went with my fiancé and got the cocoa puff coffee and the banana latte with the banana pudding cold foam on top! And let me just say I was in heaven lol, I definitely recommend the banana latte with the banana pudding cold foam on top, it's amazing and the service was even better. I LOVE their matcha and creative seasonal specials! it is by far the best value in the area as other places charge the same amount and give you much less for a latte. everyone is really kind and the quality of ingredients is top notch. The vibe is super chill and a great spot for remote work or studying! read more
I've been seeing this place all over Instagram, so we finally decided to try it and I'm glad we did! We ordered the Matcha Coconut, Double Matcha, and Spanish Latte with different sweetness levels, and everything tasted great. The Matcha Coconut was light and refreshing, the Double Matcha was rich and creamy, and the Spanish Latte was smooth and perfectly balanced. Everything was exceptional, from the drinks to the customer service. The guy making our drinks was very friendly and served us with a smile, which made our experience even better. It is located inside Union Market, and it seemed to be the only place open when we visited, although I'm not completely sure. I would definitely come back to try more drinks from their menu! read more

Service and taste are an absolute 10/10 here! All the different baristas are so nice and they remember you as a regular. The seasonal flavors have me coming in once a week to make sure I try them all before they're gone! The only drawback is the location... I know they can't control the center but the elevator is sketchy, the escalators never work. You have to WANT to get this coffee is all I'm saying. but it's worth the sketchy elevator ride to get this coffee! (Can we get some larger sizes soon?) read more

Located in the union market at the Kaleidoscope you'll find a hidden coffee gem! The owners are super helpful and very knowledgeable of the craft. I ordered a lucky latte and a raspberry matcha. the latte was super smooth and tasty. I'm not usually a huge cold foam fan but the marshmallow cold foam is not overly sweet and does not overpower the coffee flavor at all. the matcha was very smooth and rich. The raspberry flavoring was the perfect balance of sweet and refreshing. I highly recommend stopping in for a coffee or tea should you ever be in the area! read more

Went for their 3rd anniversary and had a good time! We tried the Birthday Cake Latte, Coco Puff Latte, and the Coconut Cream Top Cold Brew. Everything was SO good. I honestly don't think I could pick a favorite! The vibes were friendly and energetic. Wish there were different size options and that they were in a better location. Finally got the chance to try concrete coffee and was so excited because I love the cocoa puff cold brew at Disney! Their rendition did not disappoint, it was sooo good! The service was quick. The coffee corner itself is super cute and has available seating but the general plaza it's in is so odd. Concrete Coffee is located at the Union Market at the Kaleidoscope. You can't miss it as it's the first thing you will see as you enter. They have some nice and creative drinks with coffee and matcha here. I got to try their Lavender Matcha Latte and their Coco Puff Latte. They were both very good and very well balanced flavor wise. The Lavender in the matcha was just enough to where it's refreshing and not over powering the drink. The Coco Latte visibly looks very nice and adds a fun twist to our childhood with the Cocopuff garnish. Lots of seating area here and parking is usually available in their structure. read more

I wanted to like this place, but the experience fell short. Concrete coffee is located in the market place in Kaleidoscope. Sadly, Kaleidoscope has seen its better days. The place feels run down and needs a major reno. (The escalator never works.) I got the strawberry Matcha latte. It was just okay for me. It didn't stand out and it felt diluted. Matcha and strawberry ratio felt off balance. There is no price listed on the menu, which was kinda weird. Service was very friendly. read more

I think it's an ok coffee place. The ones I've tried are about a 5/10. Service is great. Unfortunately, it is at the kaleidoscope where there is an unpleasant smell. Don't let my review discourage you as everything is subjective. Very beautiful/aesthetic coffee. My husband rates the matcha a 7/10 read more

I had the opportunity to do a balloon setup for Concrete Coffee's 3 Year Anniversary, from the moment I arrived, everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming, and genuinely appreciative. Jesse and the entire team made me feel so comfortable, and it was such a pleasure being part of their special day. Not only is the atmosphere beautiful, but the coffee is amazing too! I highly recommend trying the Cocoa Pebbles drink, it was so delicious and definitely one of my favorites The shop has such a warm, inviting atmosphere, a beautiful aesthetic, and customer service that truly goes above and beyond. You can tell they genuinely care about every person who walks through their doors. If you're looking for a local coffee shop with great drinks, a welcoming environment, and some of the sweetest people you'll meet, I definitely recommend checking out Concrete Coffee. A charming coffee spot located in a Union Market spot with a farm style interior design and plenty of seating to enjoy your coffee to some soft upbeat music playing in the background. The barista Daniela is friendly and fast with her service. I ordered the White Chocolate Rasberry Latte which was rich, smooth, and not too sweet, just how I like it. Stopped by here for a quick matcha with my daughter! Service was fast and friendly, so I will make a point to come here again and try a coffee beverage. The matcha drink was very good and was a pleasant afternoon treat. It's located inside union market which has plenty of space to hang out and relax. I just wish the Kalidescope would make some repairs and make the place more inviting since this Union Market is so great! Definitely not the coffee shop's fault. read more
Love that we have so many locally owned new coffee spots in Laguna Niguel! This one was especially memorable - I had the strawberry matcha latte. It was my first one since returning from a trip to Japan so the stakes were high and they did not disappoint. Friendly service and very aesthetic modern ambiance as well! Cute vibey coffee shop. It's the type you know your coffee will probably hit. Came here because we were in the area but for someone who is in OC / FV area this is kind of a drive for such a dead plaza. Every shop around it was either closed or vacant. It was nice that they had a free garage you can park at but not a lot of people around. We went on a Saturday morning too! I went with the coco puff latte and it was pretty good. Decently strong coffee but it can get pretty sweet bc of the coco puffs. I would come back to try other things but only if I happen to be in the area. read more
Concrete Coffee is a hidden gem - on the top floor of the shopping center and inside a market/food hall. The latte was rich, creamy and tasty. The staff were friendly and attentive. The latte was freshly made and delivered in a few minutes. I enjoyed the ambiance inside the market/food hall in the early Sunday morning. It was quiet and cozy; I can see myself working here on my computer while enjoying my coffee. read more
Been wanting to try Concrete Coffee for a while and finally stopped by. Since I'm not familiar with the area, I didn't realize it's located inside a shopping plaza. They have a good selection of coffees, matcha drinks, friendly staff and a small seating area but no food options. I decided to try the something unique here, the Coco Puff Latte, no complaints. The only downside is the location being a little hard to find, but if you're in the area, it's definitely worth checking out. read more
A friend picked up one of Concrete's drink of the month (November) for me - it was called the Cinn Swirl Latte, but I felt like it could've had more flavor. It did taste desserty, but it was more of a sweetened latte with a fluffy cream than a cinnamon swirl. I was expecting it to taste cinnamony, or reminiscent of a cinnamon roll, or at least slightly spiced, but I didn't really get much of anything beyond an average sweet latte. I wouldn't get it again. From what my friend told me, this shop is at the Kaleidoscope in Mission Viejo. I couldn't find pricing on Yelp, and what's funny is that my friend also mentioned that there weren't any prices shown on the menus there, either. Not sure why. My Cinn Swirl Latte ended up being $7.50, which is quite expensive, but unfortunately it's becoming the norm at most cafes nowadays. It seems like they have a good variety of seasonal drinks, so I may try another drink if I find myself in the area. Hopefully they can provide updated menus with prices on them in the near future. read more
I gave this place a try for my morning joe as I was in the area early on a Sunday morning. I was not familiar with this shopping plaza so it was a bit tricky to find it inside the Union Market on the top floor. I arrived just after opening and the staff there offered to answer any questions I had on their menu. Needing just my standard hot latte, it was prepared as I liked. Smooth, creamy and not too sweet. The barista tried to cap my cup but I stopped her since I like to take the first sip without the lid. The coffee here is decent but its location is not ideal. read more

Solid Coffee Once You Find It I stopped by Concrete Coffee at the Kaleidoscope, though I'll admit it took a bit of searching to locate. There is a sign on the railing by the escalator, but it was partially hidden by Christmas décor, so it's easy to miss if you're not already looking for it. I ordered their peppermint mocha, and overall, it was good. The peppermint was subtle, just a hint. Tthe coffee flavor really took the lead. If you prefer your seasonal drinks not overly sweet or minty, this is right up your alley. I'd definitely come back, but next time I'd try a different flavor to explore more of their menu. Once you track them down, it's a solid spot for a quality cup of coffee. read more
You're telling me I don't have to purchase a Disney pass in order to try my beloved coco puffs latte?! I can't rave enough about the sweet hospitality, conversations and making you feel like they've known you forever. This place is a keeper. They've been open for 6 months now, and yes we are well aware that this shopping center hasn't been thriving but concrete coffee is up for the challenge with such creative and fun drinks. I want to try their matchas next time! There is so much space to walk around or just sit and enjoy your delish drink. Love everything about this coffee spot. You know how Disney will give you like 6 coco puffs in your drink, here it is overflowing and we are here for that! Really helpful and kind staff. I got the seasonal Pumpkin Matcha and it was good. (Seasonal menu will last until about Thanksgiving, they said - maple cinnamon matcha will be added to the menu.) It's located inside Kaleidoscope, the plaza. You'll need to park in the structure and go up to the Entertainment level - Concrete is one more escalator ride away. read more

Exciting that a brand new coffee shop in town, but not too exciting that its location is at Kleidescope.... I was looking forward to get the cookie latte as I had seen the cool photos on their IG page. But unfortunately that is only being offered on weekends. I am not sure why though..... Anyways, I opted for their brown sugar latte (half sweet). I liked the taste and sweetness. I would have liked more bold Espresso flavor. Overall I liked my drink and the service was kind. But I don't think I will be back any time soon unless they open a location somewhere else! read more
