Fall Oat Boy and Ham & Cheese Croissant
    Kristina N.

I hate that this is only in Mission Viejo! The coffee is prepared so well. They are not too sweet although the names and descriptions of coffees could frighten you off. They are tasty and well balanced. I would say that every-time I ordered a pastry or sandwich they do come out a little too toasty and maybe they should turn down the temp. But at least it's hot and tasted fresh like they make them daily.

Was looking for coffee at the Mission Viejo mall found Gregory's coffee ordered a latte. Hot was very good. Barista were very helpful and friendly. Very nice space for a small coffee place.Thank you Gregory!!

Cute little coffee stand in the Mission Viejo mall. I got the iced fall out boy and it was the perfect fall drink. It wasn't too sweet and you could taste the espresso which are my two iced latte musts. Service was fast and sweet!

I decided to order 3 drinks because they were closing, and I usually don't order this late...but the menu looked promising, and the atmosphere was inviting. The female employee who took my order was kind and made it a lovely experience. The strawberry matcha was decent, but I really only liked the one of the energy drinks because over time, it turned out to be really sour. It had a very strange tart aftertaste, and I rarely throw drinks out, but it could only be drunk halfway. I wonder who Gregory is though because it's my first time hearing of this chain...

Very good coffee shop right before all the restaurants at the food court upstairs. They have pastries along with well blended coffees. It's always nice to find an actually good coffee shop at the mall that you won't also see across the street.

We were a little coffee'd out today so I opted for the Full Moon Matcha. Hubby didn't like it and I was disappointed because it lacked matcha flavor. I was excited to try vegan maple tahini foam along with the salted yolk flavor, but it was mostly a vegan light green sweetened drink for $8.05 + tax which is steep for what it was. I regret not getting an espresso based drink, maybe that would have been better because after all it's Gregory's Coffee, not Gregory's Matcha or even Gregory's Tea.

This coffee stand is located in the food court at The Shops At Mission Viejo, thankfully replacing a Starbucks and serving GOOD coffee rather than the crap served by the former tenant. I stopped by on a recent weekday morning. I had finished dashing around the mall and was on my way home so ordered a salted caramel cold brew to take on the road. The perky women behind the counter quickly had my order ready and I was on my way. The coffee itself had a bold taste. I could tell it was a quality coffee bean roast. The salty caramel was evident but didn't overshadow the coffee, just sweetened it slightly. I caught both the saltiness and caramel flavors; they weren't lost behind the coffee. Although I've only had this single drink I can tell this place is meant for true coffee aficionados.

Come with me to try the super popular New York transplant Gregorys Coffee. This is their first location ever on the West Coast. I had only seen this place in TV shows so I was so excited to finally get the chance to try their specialty drinks, like this Iced cherry blossom that had all these pretty layers and tasted so delicious, and the Purple Rain smoothie which is right up my alley with its 21 grams of protein. Also picked up some of their delicious bites, my favorite is the Crunchy power bite with the chia seeds on top, and the Vegan chia seed croissant, and what's crazy is that almost all of these are vegan or gluten-free too! Thanks for reading! ^-^

Gregory's replaced Starbucks in The Shops at Mission Viejo. Looks exactly the same as it used to and carries very similar products. Typical mall coffee shop vibe - nothing fancy. Staff were friendly and coffee was fine - not amazing, but not bad.

I went out for errands with my husband over the weekend and forgot my water bottle. I was feeling a little dehydrated so while at the mall, we walked by the food court. Gregorys Coffee replaced the Starbucks here and has a splashy little setup. They are a chain from New York. Unfortunately, I can't do caffeine in the afternoons so I opted for one of the refresher drinks. I ordered the pineapple ginger drink. It was a light drink with mid-level sweetness. I didn't taste too much pineapple or ginger. It was also pricey for the size I ordered. It did help with my thirst though. Will I be back? It remains to be seen. If I'm around when coffee is a must, then maybe.

Gregorys is located in the Mission Mall food court, replaced the prior Starbucks. Staff were very welcoming. I had the Banana Breeze which tasted great. Service and staff were very friendly. Ambiance and decor was the usual coffee vibe.

I'm so glad there is a new coffee stand in the MV mall, since Starbucks closed this location a while back. I've only gotten a decaf latte, but the coffee tasted so good. Really looking forward to trying some of their other drinks!

My sister and I really enjoyed the coffee during our last visit, so we were hoping the matcha would live up to the same standard. I ordered the Double Matcha Latte with oat milk and 50% sweetness, and it had a really nice strong matcha flavor. My sister got the Raspberry Matcha Latte, since raspberry is usually her go-to flavor pairing, and she liked it overall but realized raspberry may not be her favorite fruit to combine with matcha. The server also mentioned that the drinks are sweetened with agave, which was nice to know. I also appreciated that they don't charge extra for milk alternatives, especially as someone who is lactose intolerant. Even at 50% sweetness, I probably could have gone a little less sweet, but overall it was still a great experience. Definitely a place I'd come back to again.

Food: 2/5 There was a case filled with pastries and I decided to try the beef and potato as it looked popular based on its limited supply. There were no prices available so I assumed, the size it was, that the total would be around $7. However, this pastry was almost $14! I was disappointed by the price and lack of flavor inside. The pastry was buttery but not as flaky as I'd hoped for. Service: 3/5 Walking into the bakery I was glad to be welcomed inside and asked if I had any questions by a young lady. After deciding what I wanted to order I waited in line. The older gentleman at the register was not as friendly. I felt rushed when I was ordering and it felt as if he didn't want to be there. We visited on a Saturday morning around 9:30am, and while the place was very busy and lively, it's easy to see why it's so popular. Drinks: The honey lavender latte was excellent -- smooth, lightly floral, and not overly sweet. The Nutella cortado is also a standout and a great choice if you like something rich but balanced. Food: The chicken and mushroom crepe had great flavor and was very satisfying. The Romeo and Juliette crepe was absolutely delicious and easily one of the highlights of the visit. Pastries: The almond croissant and peach danish were my favorites -- flaky, fresh, and exactly what you hope for at a bakery like this. Because it was a peak Saturday morning, there was about a 15-minute wait to find a table, and ordering took another 20 minutes. My food came out fairly quickly, but my husband's order was unfortunately missed and didn't arrive until about 40 minutes later. That said, the woman running the place was an absolute sweetheart -- incredibly kind, apologetic, and genuinely attentive. She even offered us a free dessert to make up for the delay, which we really appreciated. The rest of the staff was also friendly and helpful despite how crowded it was. The space does get noisy when it's full, so it's not the most relaxing dine-in experience during peak hours. My advice: order online and take it to go -- this would be perfect for a picnic or a relaxed breakfast elsewhere. The food and drinks are absolutely worth it, and with a little planning, you'll have a great experience.
