Elote, basic, and an onion added. Basically these are white queso with additions added in to give variety. I am sad to say that this place did not live up to its potential. Great atmosphere, clean, decent service. To drink we ordered an agua fresca- this ended up tasting more like carbonated water with a hint of fruit flavor, would not order again. Next we ordered the trio dip (half sizes) we ordered traditional guacamole-which was delicious, dirty queso- had great flavor but was served almost cold and the cheese ended up clumping together after just a couple minutes, and last we got the mexican street corn- tasted mostly like corn with a little flavoring. While we ordered these 3 we also ordered a side of salsa roja which was very watery and had very little flavor. With these dips the chips were delicious, tasted fresh and crispy. Next we ordered The Heater taco and bad habit taco- both had good flavored steak and toppings. on these tacos there was way too many toppings and hardly any meat. Couldn't even taste the meat unless you took it out. We also got a side of loaded tots-these were great, great flavor with the poblano peppers cooked in the hash brown, cooked nice and crisp. We first had Conados Tacos while we were visiting some friends in Ohio. We loved it there so we were excited to visit this one that just opened near us. Today, when we visited, was the day after their grand opening. Second day open. As we were walking in we saw a sign that had a "grand opening special". So when we were sat we asked about it and we're told there was a mix up and that was just for the grand opening. The manager then went and got the sign, apologized for the confusion and offered to pay for our part of our meal And that meal... was fantastic. The tacos are amazing, the quest is great, and the employees work hard and are friendly at the same time. This is Taco Bell on steroids. As a starter we got street corn, queso blanco, and salsa. The chips were super salty. I had to brush the salt off. The "Dirty sauce" was very hot. Not "white people spicy" which was what I was expecting. It was VERY SPICY. I love spicy so I was happy with that. Great options for vegetarians. They have tofu, black beans, veggie chorizo, and portobello for the protein options. My omnivore boyfriend loved the tofu and veggie chorizo! Very empty atmosphere. Perfect for people who are afraid of crowded places. While eating there a handful of people would come in and immediately leave before getting seated. We decided it was the time to Condado last Saturday afternoon about 1pm. Unfortunately, everyone else decided to eat then too. There was only a single server when we arrived. She was outstanding though! She got our orders and the rest of the hungry costumers in a blur of activity. She got it all right and came back to bring drinks and to check that all was good. Happy for her that runners with our food helped, along with the bartender I think. We went here for a low key Valentines date night. The food wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything special. We ordered the dip trio and 3 tacos. Dips: we had Smoked Cheddar, Pineapple Guacamole, and Corn Salsa. The cheddar was like a thick rotel (it was served more room temp than hot), the guacamole was good but you couldn't taste the avocado due to the other flavors, the corn was actually the best (it was not a red salsa like I was anticipating but instead kernels of corn in a white sauce). This chips were fresh. Tacos: Kevin (too spicy - we removed the shell & ate the filling), Plain Jane (no review as husband ate it), The Heater (good but too much sauce that overtook the taste of everything else). The food is so good. The sauces we tried were spot on and perfect size. My only complaint was about the spicy lvl which was low. I wanted heat to my tacos but they gave me mild instead and I was not about to drive back to the location. unless, you live very close, I would eat there instead of take out.
