Interesting. Not worth the money, it's good but not great. As someone who grew up eating authentic Mexican tacos this is far from it but I like the idea . This is a place where you go try tacos but with a "twist" on it. I would give this place 5 stars but charging $6-$8 for a taco is hilarious. It's located in downtown so I know a lot of people here don't know any better when it comes to authentic tacos. Condado is very convenient, you want a "taco" you can quickly come here to get one. The best tacos spots in Pittsburgh are out of the way, where you can get 3 juicy tacos for $10-$12. The guac is actually decent, my favorite taco this place serves is the ooey-goeey and the bad habit. Solid tacos. The tostada chips are good too. Absolutely love it here! Stopped by after the pirates game around 10 pm with a party of 5 and they were able to seat us right away. Apparently they didn't want to start a wait list at that time of night, but were able to accommodate us which we really appreciated!! The prices have gone up a little bit since I have last been here, but the quality of the food is still absolutely amazing! My favorite toppings are the pickled red onions, pineapple, and corn. I would stick to the pork in the future because the chicken was very salty, and unfortunately the tofu was unavailable so I did not try that. I was disappointed with the ratios and felt like I had very little pork. The chicken taco had a good ratio. I fell in love with Condado during my short stint of living in Columbus, OH (their birth place), so when I found out that they were opening a few locations in my hometown of Pittsburgh, I was stoked! It took me a few years to actually visit a location in PGH as I currently live in Philadelphia, but my sister and I stopped by before a recent concert at Market Square, and man, did Condado NOT disappoint. It was a pretty hot and humid day, but we opted to sit outside for some fresh air and in COVID cautions. We were given the heads up that service might be a little slow with only one server for the outside area, but we didn't notice a thing. She was quite attentive to us, and really the only thing that was slightly slowed was just getting our check / payment processed, which wasn't a big deal at all. My sister and I both started off with the La Paloma marg, which featured grapefruit and soda water. It was such a refreshing drink on this hot day, and the alcohol content was just right. For just $8, it was a steal. For tacos, Conado offers a number of pre-made options, which are all excellent pairings (I've had my fair share of these guys during my Columbus days), but they also allow you to create your own taco, the route we chose this time around. Previously, you would check boxes on a sheet with your taco order, but in COVID times, we just verbalized our orders to our waitress. It definitely is easier to check off the boxes to create, but our waitress did a great job of remembering and capturing our order. We both got 2 tacos, each with one featuring jackfruit; I opted for veggie chorizo and poblanos for my second, and my sister went with the roasted portabellos. We encased them in regular flour tortillas which allowed the flavors to shine through, and we paired with a variety of toppings including corn salsa, pineapple salsa, habenero-mango sauce, chipotle honey sauce, and avocado ranch, all on respective tacos. And of course, we topped each taco with additional goodies like faijita peppers / onions, lettuce, tomatoes, etc. We both loved our personalized tacos; my favorite was by far the jackfruit matched with the pineapple salsa and the habenero-mango sauce, whereas my sister favored her portabello taco. Overall, they were excellent and well made with quality ingredients, leaving us the perfect amount of full after our meal. For just around $40, my sister and I both enjoyed a marg and 2 tacos each - such a great deal! The quality and price can't be beat, and the option to either make your own personalized taco or pick from a pre-made is conducive to any guest. So glad you are now in PGH, Condado - now I'll just wait for a PHL location to open! read more

This restaurant has a cool multi-level setup, and we were able to get a table for two despite being near closing time. Many things to try on the menu, so decided to split the full-size Three Buds ($21) to share, as well as the "El Tradicional" Taco ($3) and "Gran Clasico" Margarita ($10). For the three buds - chose the elote queso, traditional guacamole, and roja salsa. Definitely way too much for two people; nonetheless hammered through as much as we could. Loved the spicy salsa dip and the guacamole is super chunky. Elote queso was too corn forward, but you get what you ask for. Taco is also large - a soft tortilla stuffed with guac, chorizo, and veggies. Liked that the chorizo isn't too greasy; could have used more of a kick. Margarita is your standard strong fare. Servers here are efficient and the ambiance is nice on a slower day. Tried to come back here on a Friday night and was hit with an hour wait, so best to try on less popular nights. read more

** Cool interior paintings and solid happy hour deals, but unfortunately the food wasn't anything too special. Definitely not the best taco joint or option in town, but could be a good place for happy hours (5-7 pm). I probably would choose Bakersfield over Condado in terms of the tacos, but Condado seems like a cool spot to get drinks and appetizers with some buddies after going around downtown. The tacos were $1 off and the drinks were also half off for happy hour, which honestly might be a better deal than Bakersfield (though not 100% sure). My girlfriend and I definitely took advantage of this deal, also ordering an appetizer of guac to go with the complementary chips. The guac was definitely a very generous portion, and we had plenty left to take home. This could be a nice happy hour option with a group of coworkers or friends, since you could definitely split the large appetizer of guac and just order discounted drinks. The ambiance seemed fairly vibrant, with colorful paintings / decorations on the wall. Not like anything was really wrong with the tacos or food here, but it just turned out pretty mediocre and didn't taste authentic at all. There are lot of options to choose from in the build your own menu to customize it the way you like, or you can choose preset options. If anything, I might get one or two just to snack on, but wouldn't want to rely on this as a primary dinner option to get full off. Local recommendations did not disappoint! A filling mix of chips and dips and tacos left me feeling very full, and a varied exploration of their margaritas left me feeling very jovial. Updated Review: I now like it here. I know. After my first terrible review one would have thought I would have stayed away for life. But I am all about giving places another chance. My friend and I went before happy hour around 4:30. We were seated right away and the waiter was really sweet. He indulged my friend in taste testing a beer without a second glance and also steered us towards a really good chip, queso, and salsa combo. I appreciate the time he took with us, especially since we ordered only chips and two beers. Very good service. We chose two quesos: the spicy one and the one with corn. I would say the spicy one was for sure a hit. The corn was good, but didn't have enough corn or spice to make it super exciting. I would have preferred the plain corn salsa I think, without the cheese (blasphemous, I know). We also picked the plain guacamole. I think next time we will up our game and do the spicy.
