** TO-GO COVID REVIEW ** While I was visiting my family in Pittsburgh, we celebrated my sister-in-law's dad's birthday with a to-go taco fiesta. I was super excited to have Condado Tacos again after having a previous experience in Lawrenceville. However, this experience was subpar. Since there were seven of us sharing a meal, the order we placed was pretty large. My older brother placed the order and picked it up, so I cannot speak to that piece of the experience other than to say you NEED to check your order before you leave. When he arrived with the pickup order and we started to divvy up the tacos we had ordered, we found that there were EIGHT tacos missing from our order! I can understand accidentally missing one, but this was a huge oversight on the part of Condado Tacos. When we called to so we could get the rest of our order, the worker told my brother that they were just so busy, that's why the order was inaccurate. No apology. Condado Tacos are definitely on the trendy taco spectrum. Not super authentic. More created for their exoticness. I ordered their monthly special which had Flour soft + hard corn shell and smoked cheddar queso with slow-roasted pulled pork, gochujang bbq sauce, pickled jalapenos, and pineapple salsa. It was REALLY spicy and pretty flavorful. I was most excited for the blue dream, which is Flour tortilla, queso blanco + Kewl Ranch shell with Tex-Mex ground beef, lettuce, tomato + avocado ranch sauce. This taco had pretty good flavor, but because I had to wait for my brother to go to the restaurant twice, the hard shell was very soggy so the overall experience of that taco lacked the satisfying crunch I was hoping for. read more

Another Condados. Have visited a few and all are good. Bright and fun decor. Staff is friendly. Large crowd. They are using a system to call u if all the tables are full and you wait in the mall or outside. We managed to get a table. Just get a Margarita. So good. Tacos are delicious. read more

I love their overall restaurant setup, you pick a few tacos and then they bring it out with your name on it. I can say that you just gotta find the taco you like the best, there will be some you love and some you hate so therefore I give this place a 3. Every time I go, I can't get an entire order where I love them all. There's always one taco I'm not a fan of. My least fave is the Korean BBQ taco. It is far too sweet and the sauce is not Korean BBQ. The guac and quesos options are amazing and DELISH though. I'd go back just for this and a drink! read more

I've been to the Condado location in Lawrenceville and it was great, so I was excited to go again at the new location in the South Hills. I was glad there was outdoor seating because the interior of the restaurant seemed crowded when I went inside to join the waiting list. Our wait was about an hour, which is frustrating, but the food made it worth it. The Pineapple Express margarita was great, the chips and dips were amazing and the tacos never disappoint, no matter which ones you choose. Cool new taco spot! I was pleasantly surprised with this place. All of the employees that I encountered were friendly even though they were busy and seemed a bit overwhelmed. We came here around 4 on a Friday right before it got crazy busy. It only took like 10 minutes or so for us to be seated. The decor in this place was very eye catching, so we had a lot to look at while we were waiting. Our waiter Richard was very knowledgeable and attentive throughout our time there. He didn't seem to rush us even though it was starting to get busy. He even suggested that I treated myself to another drink at the end of my meal, which I did! Anyways, the menu was quite extensive with many options and choices. I started out with the Pineapple Express and it was interesting. I never would have thought to put pineapple and cinnamon together, but it worked. It hit the spot. We ordered chips and blanco queso which was very good. The chips were freshly made. For my entree I went with the byo tacos, one chicken and one braised beef. Both were very flavorful and tasted delicious. My boyfriend ordered the byo tacos as well and went for the chicken and steak. He also threw in some sides of rice and refried beans. He loved his tacos and said the rice and beans were good too. He did mention that the beans were a little on the spicy side. He seemed very happy with his meal. We had a great date night there and will definitely be back! read more

Always hit the spot here. Kids love the small buds and my wife and I typically go with the swipe bowl. You literally can't go wrong with anything on the menu. If I had one gripe, I'd love for their ques to bit closer to piping hot than luke warm. read more

So I am a taco fanatic. I have family in California and have been to San Diego many times. I consider California the taco capital of the USA. This place has some significant similarities in the tacos. So many options and flavors. An enjoyable spicy experience that doesn't leave you wanting. I highly recommend for a good lunch. read more

Horrible food and mediocre service/atmosphere. Everything came out within five minutes of ordering and that should have already been the first red flag. Everything from our appetizers to our entrees were lukewarm. The chips, queso, and taco meats/fillings tasted and felt like they've just been sitting in tubs outside of the walk-in for the whole day. The traditional guac was bland and had the consistency of baby food. My husband ordered three different tacos and I ordered two, but all of them tasted overwhelmingly sweet even though each one had a different sauce. No hint of salt or spice in anything. To top it off, our server literally stood over my husband as he was trying to tip out. That really caught us off guard since we hadn't complained or made a fuss about anything. NOT Kid Friendly! my wife and I use to go here a couple times a month after it first opened. It was reasonably priced for the quality of the food offered. We haven't been there in the past year and decided to take our grandkids ages 3 and 6 for dinner. I definitely remember that they had a kid's menu, but not any more. And our waiter wasn't much help. He said that they could have a kid's quesadilla but it was too spicy for the kids. Also, the tater tots that he suggested had pieces of jalapeno peppers and was also too spicy, and they had NO ketchup. The grandkids left hungry and we had to take them to McDonalds with no adjustment to the bill. My wife and I's tacos were fine but definitely was way over priced since last time that we were there. The food is always great here! If you love chips, salsa, queso and guacamole this is it - pair that with a special margarita and that's a nice afternoon or evening outing that won't break the bank. The service has always been top notch for us too. I went here with a friend on my lunch break. Liked the tacos. The setup is like a burgatory. You can choose something already made, or create your own Taco. 2 tacos are just enough. I liked it so much that I went here two more times in the week to introduce to friends and family. Ordered online this morning and scheduled takeout for 5:30 pm. Arrived at 5:25 and told the hostess I was there to pick up an order. She looked at the takeout cart/shelf and indicated it wasn't ready yet. No problem - I was early after all. The hostess gave clear instructions to please wait in the hall AND she would come out to get me when the order was ready. After 20ish minutes in the hallway I went in to see what the hold up was. My bag was sitting in their takeout cart/shelf - getting cold. The lack of customer care and (quite simple) follow through is disappointing. I grabbed my bag and was never acknowledged by the hostess. Deliberately, I exited through the hall/mall door where I was previously standing to notify another gentleman waiting in the hall that he might want to check on his order. Fave taco place in town. I have been to both the south hills and downtown location. I try different tacos all the time and but absolutely love the sweet Lucy taco shell. One of my favorite restaurants to get tacos and I love the new location! Perfect for after a day of shopping or stopping for a delicious meal. The outdoor patio is great for nice days. They have heaters and overhead coverage so you're comfortable and enjoy your time there. One of my favorite items on the menu is the ability to create our own taco. With such a wide variety of shells, protein, ingredients, salsa, and sauces, you can get something different each time. I'm a big fan of the avocado ranch and Chipotle honey sauces, along with the ju-ju shell. I've never had a bad taco combination here. The waiter will give you recommendations of items that go well together and what to avoid too. No matter which taco you build, it is packed with ingredients and flavor. You will be full and happy after your meal. They also make some of the best guacamole I've ever had, highly recommend you order it with chips to share with your table. The chips are fresh and crispy, tasty even without any guacamole dipped. The guac is creamy, with small chunks of onion and tomato, seasoned nicely and a very slight spicey flavor. So glad they brought condado tacos to the suburbs!! I've been to the other locations around Pittsburgh and have always had a great experience, the one in the south hills did not disappoint! We waited about 15 minutes to be seated, it was pretty crowded for lunch, I'm sure it is much worse for dinner. We ordered draft beers which took longer than I would have liked. My fiancé and I had chips and the blanco queso, and we each got 2 tacos. He ordered from the menu and I did build your own tacos. The food was delicious and the atmosphere is SO cool. Graffiti covers the whole restaurant and it was all done by local artist! The service was a little slow but they are new so I assume they are still getting into the swing of things. Went to Condado's at South Hills village for lunch it was delicious. We had lettuce bowls with all the fixings...it was delicious Roasted chicken Rojas salsa Peppers and onions fajita style Cheese Black beans and rice Mango salsa Jalapeño peppers. Another guest had the Crunch taco. Which was a tortilla with a shell inside with chicken slaw and sauce amazing Chips Rojas salsa We both had the house,margarita large of course with added grand marnier. Great little make your own taco joint with good drinks as well. Ended up getting the chips and queso while I waited for my to-go food and it was worth it. Why bother? I have no idea why this place is so popular. No soft corn tortillas? What? I got a small Queso with Chorizo. Flavorless goo. Chips were served ice cold and tasted stale. I also ordered two hard corn shell steak tacos with cilantro, onions, and their Roja sauce. Smallest damn tacos I've ever had, less than 2 oz. of meat, virtually no cilantro, a tiny bit of the sauce, for $4.15 each...like, WTF. Oh, and flavorless. Also got a small Mexican Street Corn, which actually was tasty, but not much for $5. I'll never return. Much better REAL Mexican food options nearby. read more
