    Burnt& limp $20 bacon

I rarely leave negative reviews, but after spending over $600 for one night at this "four-star" hotel, I feel obligated to share my experience. Upon arrival, everything seemed promising. We were greeted warmly and offered complimentary champagne, which gave us high expectations for our stay. Unfortunately, things quickly went downhill after we entered our room. There were rose petals left under the fridge area, clearly indicating the room had not been properly cleaned. Even worse, there was a blood stain on the bed. The refrigerator was also making a loud, disruptive noise. We immediately brought both the blood stain and the fridge issue to the attention of the front desk. They apologized and offered to change the sheets and send maintenance to fix the fridge. We left for dinner assuming everything would be resolved by the time we returned. When we got back around 9 PM--after a long day of traveling--the room was still being worked on, which delayed our ability to rest. We were finally able to settle in around 9:30 PM. While the fridge noise stopped, it then began leaking afterward. To make matters worse, we paid an additional $50 per person for breakfast. The menu options were extremely limited, and the only available choice was the "classic breakfast." The scrambled eggs were undercooked and wet in the middle, the bacon was somehow both limp and overcooked, and the toast was burnt beyond enjoyment. It was incredibly disappointing, especially given the extra charge. I again expressed my concerns to the front desk, including the cleanliness issues and the breakfast experience. I was told someone would follow up with me the next day. They confirmed my phone number and email address--but I never received a call or email. No apology, no resolution, no attempt to make things right. For the price and four-star expectation, this stay fell far below acceptable standards in cleanliness, maintenance, food quality, and customer service follow-up. I am extremely disappointed with how this was handled and would not recommend staying here based on my experience.

The OLV hotel is a perfect choice if you want a ln inviting and accommodating luxury five star experience. If you get Polly as a representative you'd be incredibly lucky. She was very welcoming and very sweet. Our stay was top-tier, O:LV is a masterpiece! This boutique hotel is immersed in modern elegance. The rooftop pool area is the amazing, offering breathtaking views of the city skyline and the serene lagoon of the Atlantic Ocean. The infinity pool feels like a luxurious, with beautiful architectural details that create one-of-a-kind vibe. The water features and the stylish design make it the perfect spot to unwind or take memorable photos. The attention to detail in every corner of the property is impressive, from the greenery on the walls to the lounge spaces. This hotel is ideal for couples or anyone seeking a romantic and sophisticated escape. Highly recommend for its atmosphere, design, and impeccable hospitality! Can't wait to return! While visiting I would recommend trying the local, fresh red snapper. I would recommend using the Scoot-e bikes to visit the different parts of the beach. I would recommend going to the El Yunque rainforest. I would recommend going up to the sixth floor and utilizing the pool at least one day and also utilizing the Jacuzzi at the very top. I would recommend the T-mobile district. if you'd like to go free barhopping go to La Placita. They have a mix between hip-hop Reggaeton and other music genres to party too. I know where i'm staying next trip and i know what i'm recommending to family and friends. experience.

Swanky swanky swanky! This place is extremely hipster and trendy. The lobby of this hotel is extremely small though. The elevators are so closely located to the front desk. If you have a group of people with you, they will almost touch the checkin desk. There is an extremely aromatic smell wafting through the lobby. It is a very pleasant smell. Although you may not notice it, the bar and 1st floor restaurant is nearby as well. I really love the wall of spirits behind the bar. It towered almost to the ceiling. There is also a rooftop restaurant in this hotel as well.

Riley and I booked the OLV hotel. This place is a dream. All the doors slide open and you feel like you're outside. The coffee comes with a straw, the PR cares about the turtles. Also the shower is ridiculously awesome. I book hotels based on the shower and bed and this place knocks both out of the park. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because the bar closes at 11. Given we get back every night later then that I have yet to be able to do a marg check

We rented a cabana to kill time before our flight & O:LV 55 did not disappoint! We spent the day lounging at the pool, sipping on Prosecco, and dining on delicious food. A five star experience with a beautiful view & the friendliest staff ever! A special thank you to ANA who made us feel so welcome. She was attentive, thorough, and informative. O:LV 55 is lucky to have her! We can't wait for our next visit -

We made reservations at the rooftop Raya for my daughter's birthday Temperature checks at the door and sanitizer, all staff wearing masks. Tables were all spaced out for social distancing. Service was impeccable, drinks were awesome, food was spectacular and the views were gorgeous There's a pool on the rooftop and there 2 people in it which I assume were hotel guests (what an awesome view for them!) The lighting once the sun set was a nice ambiance. I love every aspect of this dinner. No live music due to COVID :-(

I walked in and the door it was FABLOUS! I loved the black with gold accents. I went in the middle of Jan. and they still had holiday decor up (I learned that PR also celebrated Christmas in Jan) so they also had accents of silver. While the decor is very nice, you can tell this is an older building that was converted into a hotel. As a result, one of my concerns was that this hotel did not have a latch to put over the door, nor a peep hole. That was quite a safety concern so I took a way one star. I arrived a couple of hours early and was offered water and Prosecco during my wait. Antonio was also very kind during check in too! I love the ability to text the staff they asked if I wanted my room serviced. Rooftop jacuzzi...GREAT! Rooftop pool: Cool but very small. It is nice that this is very looking the watcher though. Overall this place is cute, and great location for strolling without all of the nice of San Juan. Perfect for a couples trip because it is not noisy at all. I only heard other tvs. No loud noise or big groups which I appreciates.

Gorgeous hotel on the INSIDE from the door to the bed! Even the scent wafting through the air when you enter into the lobby to check-in grabs you and relaxes you immediately. There is a restaurant downstairs to the right of the lobby as well as a restaurant on the rooftop. Yes, the elevator is mighty loud, so DO NOT get an interior room without a window because that is closest to the elevator, spend a little more and get a room with a balcony! The hotel is done very tastefully, but with some upscale accouchements. The swimming pool is not like most hotel pools, it is literally in the middle of the rooftop restaurant, so their is no sunbathing there, just swim and go back to your room or have lunch and a drink. The indoor/outdoor showers re pretty cool and the restrooms are quite large. The beds are comfortable, but not the seating on the balcony. The staff is friendly, responsive and well trained in customer service.

Checking in was easy only thing room wasn't ready till 3pm but I was able to do other things and come back and they text you as soon as it ready and anything you need they do text also which was nice. I like how you use the app to get into the room instead of a card because I usually lose those lol once the room was ready I was impressed like how spacious and fancy it was! The bathtub and shower was my fav! They do provide with complimentary water bottles and have free wifi to use! The infinity pool on 6th floor was so nice with gorgeous views! The only issue was leaving to get my car from valet took forever I had to ask front desk twice to ask someone to get my car but other than that this hotel was worth staying in Puerto Rico! It was pricy but you get what you pay for so def worth it! And they do charge 18% resort fee per night for staying here so keep that in mind when booking this! And it's adults only so that's a perk

Trying to get a reply from the hotel & telling them I'm coming to discuss the refund issue only to be met by Melanie who leaked all my info
    Aigerim Y.

Do not stay at O:LV if you don't want your information leaked to scammers. First O:LV canceled my already paid room, promising to refund my $2,400. They haven't been releasing the funds all week and stopped answering Expedia about my refund. So I had to come down to the hotel myself. I spoke to Melanie who was at the front desk, we spoke about my case, she wasn't helpful but she wasn't openly rude. Next day I get a call from a scammer about my O:LV refund. The guy on the phone not only knew what room I booked, how much it cost per each night, but also my personal information. He repeated the things I told only to Melanie at front desk. So, first O:LV cancels my booking, promising to refund my money, then O:LV holds up my money ignoring Expedia calls, and then Melanie leaks my information to her scammer friend / boyfriend / relative of hers. And I know it's her because I told her some personal information the guy on the phone repeated word for word. So it's either Melanie, or O:LV doesn't care for your personal information at all and anyone on internet can get it easily and use it against you. It's sad O:LV hotel hires people related to scammers and/or perhaps who sell your data to scammers. I'm gathering documents to sue the hotel, which is a pity since I stayed in the Olive Boutique before and it was more or less a pleasant experience (minus the smelly dirty sock I found in the safe). If only the management team at the O:LV was more responsive and responsible, but every time I spoke to them it was like speaking to a malfunctioning robot, that doesn't care, doesn't want to care and wants to get rid of you as quickly as possible. I called them about the scam, I told them about Melanie and the unbelievable leak of personal data, the guy on the phone spat out "we'll start an investigation" in a way you know they won't do anything, and then he hang up. Just hangs up. "Hello, you know that your hotel worker is leaking customers' personal information, sir?" and he hangs up. Again, I'm not waiting for the workers to be always polite and super-caring, but I don't think that it's a professional reaction - to not answer the calls about a refund you were promised and then to hang up when you're told that your hotel is leaking personal information to scammers. To this day I still haven't gotten my refund back. My bank is trying to cancel all the unauthorized transactions I got on my accounts thanks to O:LV management. Not sure it will work. And the O:LV hotel does the thing it obviously does once there's a problem - they simply ignore it. And I want to warn you once again - when the scammer called me he knew all the information about my booking, my refund situation - the things I told to Melanie. So his request of a 10% cancelation fee didn't seem alarming, and it's good that he was greedy and kept asking for more money, so I could get suspicious and block my account where he already started to do unauthorized transactions for $900, $600 at once. So, please, do yourself a favor and stay away from all of the O:LV properties, if you don't want a ruined vacation and a long week of calls with your bank, lawyers all while the hotel is ignoring you and given its blatant problem of data leakage.

This rooftop lounge is a must visit! I only ate a couple of bites of tuna tartare which was amazing, but the drinks were perfect and delicious! We made reservations (Reservations Only in September 2020) and were able to get the corner most seating right on the water. We were able to watch the sunset from here, and I will say that it's a must visit whenever you come to San Juan, Puerto Rico! In my opinion; eat before you come here, take amazing pictures, try all of the handmade cocktails, enjoy life! Ambience: 5/5 Prices: 5/5 Service: 4/5

Great view and overall aesthetic. Surprisingly cheap cocktails given the quality of service, rooftop pool, and overall appeal of the bar.

They recommended so many amazing places to eat and shop, in and out of the property. The prices for food on the property were reasonable and there were a lot of different options for food choices. The big Concha restaurant on the property is absolutely gorgeous at night but it is a bit pricier than the other food options on the property. There are 4 pool ameneties you can choose from, with one being adults only. I loved that you have the different pool options. However, I wish the pools were bigger. I felt like it made more sense to have fewer pools but, bigger to fit more people but, we were comfortable in each. The beach is beautiful and every day there were plenty of surfers riding the high tide waves. It wasn't the best beach for swimming since the tide was so high and waves were really strong but, lifeguards are on the property to help those who have trouble getting in and out. We stayed close to shore to prevent any accidents and enjoyed watching surfers ride the waves each day.

We booked an "ocean view" room, which was really more of a nice 45-degree angle looking down the length of the beach. Still enjoyable, just something to keep in mind when booking. Some reviews mentioned dirty rooms, but our experience on the 8th floor was the complete opposite. Our room was spotless when we arrived, and housekeeping returned it to that same condition every day. Honestly, it was probably the best housekeeping service I can remember at a hotel. On the other hand, we had the same A/C issues others have mentioned. The room simply wouldn't get cool enough the first two nights, but the engineering team fixed it when we finally inquired. The room itself worked really well for a family. The pullout sofa was surprisingly nice, the shower was very spacious, having the toilet behind its own separate door made getting everyone ready much easier, and the room key is a wristband, so it's easy to keep with you all the time. Unlike some of the other places we visited, it's also removable if you'd rather not wear it. The only other area I'd mention that could be improved is the front desk and concierge. There were a few times they seemed unmanned when we walked through the lobby, and while everyone was friendly, we didn't get the sense they had enough firsthand knowledge of the area to tailor recommendations to different interests, ages, or travel styles. The hotel definitely has a nightlife vibe. Every evening the lobby filled with people heading out in club attire, and the casino is a nice little bonus if that's your thing. The lobby itself is large, clean, and often had a good balance of customers being served and available space for others. The pools were nice, though I'd like to see the third pool reopened before maybe considering it a four-star stay. The beach is pleasant, with plenty of room to relax in the sun, but be warned that the hotel advises against swimming, and multiple locals elsewhere told us the same thing because of the currents. Plenty of people were wading well out or swimming close to shore, but I'd be nervous if I had kids venturing out very far or swimming alone. If swimming is your goal, there are safer beaches just a short Uber, taxi ride, or even a reasonable walk away. (I think the closest one recommended to us was about a half mile to the west.) The location is another big plus. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance, Old San Juan is just a quick Uber away, and the sushi bar in the hotel was surprisingly affordable and much better than I expected for hotel sushi. Overall, I'd probably stay here again if visiting that area. It has a great location, comfortable rooms, excellent housekeeping, and enough amenities to keep most people happy. Just go in expecting a lively atmosphere, and hopefully get a room with an A/C unit that's already behaving itself.

The only logical explanation is that this policy makes the room prices appear to cost about $200 a night less than the real charges. Otherwise, why not just raise the advertised price by 20%? There is no doubt the property is in a gorgeous location, sitting directly on the ocean. The buildings are in good condition and the staff is courteous. But, I experienced several shortfalls compared to my expectations for this price point. The suites are provided a "butler," but the available hours are 10am to 6pm. The service would be more accurately described as a concierge. Bringing coffee in the morning is not on the list of duties, nor assisting with unpacking or packing or other typical butler activities. Sending out laundry the day before my departure, I asked to have it folded so it would be easier to pack. Everything came back on hangers. My room did not receive turn-down service and fresh towels during the third night of my stay. I asked to have a car booked to the airport from the hotel. The butler got it backwards and booked it from the airport to the hotel. Good thing that I took a close look at the confirmation and noticed the routing was backwards. The breakfast restaurant, Ola, is extremely crowded in the morning with a 30 to 60 minute wait being typical in my experience. The front of the property is in a skeevy neighborhood so walking somewhere else for breakfast isn't a realistic option. It's not bad, but also not a top tier. property.

We were originally planning on staying here in December 2024 for a friends birthday and New Year's celebration, however, those plans were ruined. I appreciate the intentionality and beauty behind the aesthetic they design for ocean club to be a boutique arm of the Condado hotel family. It is a completely different vibe from that of the Vanderbilt, which exudes a traditional European brand. Ocean club is the cool, vibey, minimalistic and modern cousin that you know you can count on to have a good time! CHECK IN: Check-in was a breeze, and we were luckily able to check into our room earlier than expected, which was a huge win after a very early flight. Upon check-in, you receive a wristband which will operate as your key to access your floor and your room. You feel the ocean vibes right away and the lovely fragrance piped in throughout the hotel is delightful (I forgot to ask what it was!). BEACH IS NOT FOR SWIMMING MAJOR TIP: If you are planning on swimming in the ocean, the beach right outside of the hotel is not intended for that. The waters are very choppy, and there are a lot of large rocks on the shoreline and the hotel specifically advises us not to swim there. There are a number of really great swimming beaches within walking distance which we had the pleasure of exploring multiple times. ROOMS: Walk in and paradise is before you whether you have the lagoon or ocean view. We always came back to a super clean and fresh room which meant a lot - especially since sand gets everywhere! The bathroom layout was nice and I liked the "ladder style" towel rack which provided space to hang wet swimwear. However - it was really difficult to dry anything without a balcony. VIEW: With the lagoon view, be mindful that you can see the lagoon, however the room does face busy Avenida Ashford and a parking lot (which is also where water sports tours and kayaks depart from). POOL & AMENITIES: From the lobby you're able to access the restaurant, Social, which is open for all meals but definitely check the specific hours. The infinity pool is a really nice touch because it really does feel like you're almost one with the ocean. A little disappointing that we couldn't directly walk in to the ocean and swim from there but it's really not far. We really enjoyed spending time by the pool and really helpful that they also had sunscreen and aloe vera outside in case you forgot your own. There is a small gift shop in the lobby with some really gorgeous and unique pieces from clothing, but where jewelry bags and accessories. The hotel is pretty serene but hosts special events, so be mindful of what is on the schedule when you visit. There was a DJ residency during our stay (and for 3 more weeks), which was a nice energy boost during the day on Saturday. But for someone looking for quiet that day, they might have been frustrated. Non hotel guests pay admission to attend these events. VALET / PARKING: Since we rented a car, we were able to ballet it with the hotel, Diego was awesome! Just note that although you are a guest of the hotel, there is still a $30 ballet charge every night we parked there the first two nights, and then continued to find street parking in the area, which is successful if you have a little bit of patience! RESEARCH = MUST: As with any location, do your research to ensure you're getting the experience you are looking for! This hotel was wonderful despite a few minor hiccups. Plus, of course, if you're looking to walk out and swim in the ocean - this may not be the spot for you. Overall -- both of us said we'd be back! Hasta la proxima, ocean club!

When people stay at your hotel, they want to book at a price and for you to charge them that specific price. Condado decides to add a random "resort fee" when you check in, in order to squeeze more out of their guests without stating it on the front end. That is shady, and it removes a full star for that unethical business practice. However, that is really where the negativ w s end. The facility is beautiful, and very welcoming. The location couldn't be more perfect, and the amenities of the facility were exactly what we were looking for. The rooms were clean and minimalistic, without being dated. We were able to walk to a wide variety of attractions to see San Juan without needing to get an Uber. The restaurant was excellent, with unique dishes and drinks to sample. We really had a fantastic time here, and we can't wait to visit San Juan again in the near future!

But the staff did everything they could, and that's the main reason this is 3 stars instead of 1 -- the property didn't match our 2014 experience, but the people absolutely did.
