The hotel just recently opened their bar and restaurant to the public. We were greeted by name, it was honestly shocking but I was impressed by the hospitality we received. We ordered the B.A.L.T sandwich and the Eggs,Bacon,toast,and potatoes. This meal was my all time favorite breakfast since I arrived in San Juan!! Everything was PERFECT! I've searched high and low for beacon that's similar to this and nothing has been as delicious. The views are mesmerizing, the food was delicious, the music was lively!! Despite all of that our waiter was not very attentive, she seemed distracted. Nevertheless someone was always there to take our many orders because we spent the entire day relaxing and taking in the scenery. We had a breathtaking view from the hot tubs. When traveling, it's important to stay local. Especially when visiting other countries. And the best part, this hotel is part of credit card point programs. So, there is no excuse to not book! A locally owned hotel (and hotel group) run by exceptional staff. Aranxa and Kritzy went above and beyond for our family. Room service and cleaning were top notch. The food at the upstairs restaurant was exceptional, and offered some local cuisine. The downstairs restaurant had private parties every day and night during our stay. So, we sadly were unable to visit. Edwmar and valet opened doors for us continously and made sure our luggage was loaded. An exceptional team! I did not want to dock stars, as this is locally run. However, I do want to be honest about the rooms. Due to design of the hotel, the rooms are an ecochamber for sound and light. Please bring a white noise machine (or three) and black out eye pillows. Due to the noise, we were unable to sleep - as you hear every elevator ding, when it passes the floor, and any noise in the hallway and within other rooms. We did attempt to use our phones and noise machine all on loud but it didn't cut out the noise. There were girls screaming and slamming doors every night of our stay. While it was miserable to go without sleep, the staff were exceptional. read more

I rarely leave negative reviews, but after spending over $600 for one night at this "four-star" hotel, I feel obligated to share my experience. Upon arrival, everything seemed promising. We were greeted warmly and offered complimentary champagne, which gave us high expectations for our stay. Unfortunately, things quickly went downhill after we entered our room. There were rose petals left under the fridge area, clearly indicating the room had not been properly cleaned. Even worse, there was a blood stain on the bed. The refrigerator was also making a loud, disruptive noise. We immediately brought both the blood stain and the fridge issue to the attention of the front desk. They apologized and offered to change the sheets and send maintenance to fix the fridge. We left for dinner assuming everything would be resolved by the time we returned. When we got back around 9 PM--after a long day of traveling--the room was still being worked on, which delayed our ability to rest. We were finally able to settle in around 9:30 PM. While the fridge noise stopped, it then began leaking afterward. To make matters worse, we paid an additional $50 per person for breakfast. The menu options were extremely limited, and the only available choice was the "classic breakfast." The scrambled eggs were undercooked and wet in the middle, the bacon was somehow both limp and overcooked, and the toast was burnt beyond enjoyment. It was incredibly disappointing, especially given the extra charge. I again expressed my concerns to the front desk, including the cleanliness issues and the breakfast experience. I was told someone would follow up with me the next day. They confirmed my phone number and email address--but I never received a call or email. No apology, no resolution, no attempt to make things right. For the price and four-star expectation, this stay fell far below acceptable standards in cleanliness, maintenance, food quality, and customer service follow-up. Swanky swanky swanky! This place is extremely hipster and trendy. The lobby of this hotel is extremely small though. The elevators are so closely located to the front desk. If you have a group of people with you, they will almost touch the checkin desk. There is an extremely aromatic smell wafting through the lobby. It is a very pleasant smell. Although you may not notice it, the bar and 1st floor restaurant is nearby as well. I really love the wall of spirits behind the bar. It towered almost to the ceiling. I walked in and the door it was FABLOUS! I loved the black with gold accents. I went in the middle of Jan. and they still had holiday decor up (I learned that PR also celebrated Christmas in Jan) so they also had accents of silver. While the decor is very nice, you can tell this is an older building that was converted into a hotel. As a result, one of my concerns was that this hotel did not have a latch to put over the door, nor a peep hole. That was quite a safety concern so I took a way one star. I arrived a couple of hours early and was offered water and Prosecco during my wait. Antonio was also very kind during check in too! I love the ability to text the staff they asked if I wanted my room serviced. Rooftop jacuzzi...GREAT! Rooftop pool: Cool but very small. It is nice that this is very looking the watcher though. Overall this place is cute, and great location for strolling without all of the nice of San Juan. Perfect for a couples trip because it is not noisy at all. Gorgeous hotel on the INSIDE from the door to the bed! Even the scent wafting through the air when you enter into the lobby to check-in grabs you and relaxes you immediately. There is a restaurant downstairs to the right of the lobby as well as a restaurant on the rooftop. Yes, the elevator is mighty loud, so DO NOT get an interior room without a window because that is closest to the elevator, spend a little more and get a room with a balcony! The hotel is done very tastefully, but with some upscale accouchements. The swimming pool is not like most hotel pools, it is literally in the middle of the rooftop restaurant, so their is no sunbathing there, just swim and go back to your room or have lunch and a drink. The indoor/outdoor showers re pretty cool and the restrooms are quite large. The beds are comfortable, but not the seating on the balcony. The staff is friendly, responsive and well trained in customer service. read more

Checking in was easy only thing room wasn't ready till 3pm but I was able to do other things and come back and they text you as soon as it ready and anything you need they do text also which was nice. I like how you use the app to get into the room instead of a card because I usually lose those lol once the room was ready I was impressed like how spacious and fancy it was! The bathtub and shower was my fav! They do provide with complimentary water bottles and have free wifi to use! The infinity pool on 6th floor was so nice with gorgeous views! The only issue was leaving to get my car from valet took forever I had to ask front desk twice to ask someone to get my car but other than that this hotel was worth staying in Puerto Rico! It was pricy but you get what you pay for so def worth it! And they do charge 18% resort fee per night for staying here so keep that in mind when booking this! Do not stay at O:LV if you don't want your information leaked to scammers. First O:LV canceled my already paid room, promising to refund my $2,400. They haven't been releasing the funds all week and stopped answering Expedia about my refund. So I had to come down to the hotel myself. I spoke to Melanie who was at the front desk, we spoke about my case, she wasn't helpful but she wasn't openly rude. Next day I get a call from a scammer about my O:LV refund. The guy on the phone not only knew what room I booked, how much it cost per each night, but also my personal information. He repeated the things I told only to Melanie at front desk. So, first O:LV cancels my booking, promising to refund my money, then O:LV holds up my money ignoring Expedia calls, and then Melanie leaks my information to her scammer friend / boyfriend / relative of hers. And I know it's her because I told her some personal information the guy on the phone repeated word for word. So it's either Melanie, or O:LV doesn't care for your personal information at all and anyone on internet can get it easily and use it against you. It's sad O:LV hotel hires people related to scammers and/or perhaps who sell your data to scammers. I'm gathering documents to sue the hotel, which is a pity since I stayed in the Olive Boutique before and it was more or less a pleasant experience (minus the smelly dirty sock I found in the safe). If only the management team at the O:LV was more responsive and responsible, but every time I spoke to them it was like speaking to a malfunctioning robot, that doesn't care, doesn't want to care and wants to get rid of you as quickly as possible. I called them about the scam, I told them about Melanie and the unbelievable leak of personal data, the guy on the phone spat out "we'll start an investigation" in a way you know they won't do anything, and then he hang up. Just hangs up. "Hello, you know that your hotel worker is leaking customers' personal information, sir?" and he hangs up. Again, I'm not waiting for the workers to be always polite and super-caring, but I don't think that it's a professional reaction - to not answer the calls about a refund you were promised and then to hang up when you're told that your hotel is leaking personal information to scammers. To this day I still haven't gotten my refund back. My bank is trying to cancel all the unauthorized transactions I got on my accounts thanks to O:LV management. Not sure it will work. And the O:LV hotel does the thing it obviously does once there's a problem - they simply ignore it. And I want to warn you once again - when the scammer called me he knew all the information about my booking, my refund situation - the things I told to Melanie. So his request of a 10% cancelation fee didn't seem alarming, and it's good that he was greedy and kept asking for more money, so I could get suspicious and block my account where he already started to do unauthorized transactions for $900, $600 at once. So, please, do yourself a favor and stay away from all of the O:LV properties, if you don't want a ruined vacation and a long week of calls with your bank, lawyers all while the hotel is ignoring you and given its blatant problem of data leakage. read more

This rooftop lounge is a must visit! I only ate a couple of bites of tuna tartare which was amazing, but the drinks were perfect and delicious! We made reservations (Reservations Only in September 2020) and were able to get the corner most seating right on the water. We were able to watch the sunset from here, and I will say that it's a must visit whenever you come to San Juan, Puerto Rico! I had an amazing stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone trying to add a bit of peaceful luxury to their stay. The hotel is located in the Condado beach area and is just a short walk across the street from the beach. At this time you have to present a negative Covid test or vaccination card to stay. It has 6 floors and a rooftop pool, bar, restaurant and jacuzzi with amazing views of the city. The rooms are beautifully decorated and very spacious. I will say the walls are a little thin and at times you can here others in the hallway but overall I loved it and would stay here again. There is also a restaurant on the first floor that's very small so I would recommend making a reservation. read more

3-night stay with little sleep. Resort fee not refunded as promised. Managment unavailable to discuss concerns. We wanted to love it, but we couldn't. OLV is supposed to be an adults only boutique hotel. Turns out there are children (more on that later), and the "boutique" part stops at the luxurious decor. Our room was 210. Don't take any of the "10" rooms; they are next to (about 18 inches, but I didn't measure) the elevator. Yes, we all know next-to-the-elevator hotel rooms are usually sub-optimal, but this location outdid itself: The elevator squealed every time it was used by anyone on any floor, and you just couldn't ignore it. The other rooms must have heard it, too, because the place is small. The noise coming from the street was also a lot, and it was mainly the valet staff, not the pleasant bustle of a city. One more noise, too, the emergency exit door down the hall - yep, we could hear it, too, as it didn't close properly. We woke up at least 10-15 times per night with all the noise. And, yes, we let the hotel staff know our concerns. They were friendly but had to check with their manager on possible compensation for our discomfort. The manager did not bother to talk with us, even tho we inquired about the issue multiple times, and eventually we were told, thru the staff that have no decision-making authority, that the resort fee would be waived. We let them know we thought this was insufficient, and the resort fee has actually not been waived. So, on to the room itself: It had a nice vibe. The marble was beautiful, and the decor was on point - modern and glitzy. The bathroom was huge, and the shower was awesome with lots of shower heads, etc. The positives stop there. The room was freezing when we arrived, and no one explained that there was a remote and that the thermostat is on the CEILING. They needed a bit of carpet in there given how cold the marble floors are. The room was almost really nice, but it just wasn't. Pool/rooftop restaurant: This was the highlight for us. The food was delicious, and the staff were very accommodating. We had great days at the pool with awesome cocktails. The service could have been speedier (we waited an hour for lunch one time), but that may just be island time. One note about the pool, it's got a strange shape, and you can't really sit or stand anywhere that comfortably. But, it was beautiful, and we enjoyed ourselves. Children: So, it seems that children are not allowed in the hotel, but they are allowed in the restaurant which is next to the pool. So, we did have to spend a couple of hours with children dipping their hands and legs in the pool and running around whilr their parents were inside drinking. The restaurant staff let the parents know that children couldn't go in the pool, but the parents didn't care since their children are the center of the world. If you note that you are "adults only," it's just surprising to have children running around. Sage (restaurant in the sister hotel): We ate there our first night and had a great experience. The reservation (made by the hotel) was accidentally made for a restaurant with a similar name in New York. They were able to accommodate us, tho. I would skip the Caesar salad, but the tomahawk steak was fantastic and had a wonderful flavor. Dessert was great, too, and the manager was very knowledgeable about the wine and recommended a nice Italian wine. Summary: We came for a relaxing weekend but didn't sleep through any of the 3 nights. We won't be back to OLV. read more

We stayed at OL Vito for four days and we had a delightful experience. They were out of king bed so we ended up with the double room but it was still great. Did the core and ambience throughout the hotel was all top notch! We also enjoyed the service on the rooftop, at the pool and Jacuzzi area, and the concierge service was also very pleasant. There is a beach nearby that's not swim a ball but it's great for a morning walk and it's close to downtown if you wanted to get anywhere quickly. Overall, we had a great experience. After spending 2 nights at condado ocen club for half the price we moved to OlV for $500 a night in the simplest room available for the luxurious half of our trip, hotel was completely empty, no music by the pool, no servers for pool guests, the worst part of the stay was how staff could not get any control over the hotel guests. We spent 2 nights with hotel neighbors fighting, banging on doors, partying in the hallways. Hotel security asked several times for the guests to calm down and still we came to no solution. After speaking with management on the 2nd night we were disregarded. This hotel is GHETTO. If u are looking for something luxurious, there are way better prices for way better hotels. Very disappointing to say the least. Wish I would have read all the horrible reviews before wasting half my trip. read more

I spent almost $600 a night to stay here and when I got into my room it spelled of mold and mildew. Like you would walk into a cellar in an old house. After complaining a few times they moved me to an identical room below which still was mildewy. I spent my entire vacation miserable due to allergies and sinuses and having no other options but to stay in this room. The manager said she would rectify the situation financially and after contacting them three times with no response from management, I'm forced to express my opinions in a negative review. For the money I'm paying, I think this is a TERRIBLE experience both from a room perspective and also as customer service perspective by ignoring the guests and not following up. We spent our honeymoon in Puerto Rico and splurged on this hotel for one night thinking we would get the most relaxation in. Unfortunately the room across us were partying all night and you could hear everything. Staff did come up to quiet them down, but a few hours later there was an incident in the hallway around 4AM and for an hour employees were cleaning up making loud chatter keeping us up. READ ENTIRE REVIEW FULLY: This hotel is beautiful! The rooms were designed very luxurious but the service is lacking & management makes poor decisions. I am here the weekend after Valentine's Day. Fully booked weekend. The management decided to book a wedding at the pool and close the pool to paying guests! Listen guys i get it you want to make money but when you are a boutique luxury hotel charging $900.00 for suites you need to have separate accommodations for large events or let them use the pool after it is closed.... the same area they are setting up for this wedding is also where regular paying guests are suppose to eat breakfast and we can't. You charged me for a regular stay and I only got 1/2 the service and use of the amenities. You guys need to make better decisions and handle guests complaints better. I spoke to the manager Enrique & his thought it would be a good idea to comp 3x mini bottles of patron @ $12.00 each (this is a joke). It's not about the money and $36.00 is what i spend on socks. It's about the guests experience. Also the pool had no attendant, no towels, no music & forgot about my order.
