Don't be Naive like me!!! If you value your belongings think twice before storing with this entity. One word to describe the resident couple managing this facility - CORRUPT! Underneath that seemingly polite/shy demeanor lie the soul of two corrupt low life small time hustlers,.. a husband an wife team , with no sense of ethics or morals evident in the way they treat their loyal customers storing their belongings for longer than 5 yrs! At Conejo U Store-It, There might be adequate number of security cameras monitoring the premise but what does one do when the actual resident facility manager couple are the one's you should be aware of!!!?! Sadly, sometimes the thieves are the installers of those security cameras themselves, and this case is not far from it!.. WATCH OUT!!! There are more eyes staking out or so called monitoring the contents of your personal storage, definitely not all that beneficial!!!! Especially if you value your items & if your items may be of some use to the facility couple! Indeed others' besides yourself are monitoring your every move as to what you bring in and take out and they have a detailed inventory of the items you think you are storing in your safe unit!!! as well as monitoring your loading / off -loading habits , & when you least expect it you can be the target of one of those highly warned about storage scams! Robbed of your entire storage contents ! Who do you point the finger at when the thieves are masked as the so called "facility managers "!?! There is a reason to stay away from small mom and pop type storage facilities and instead to go with the more well known and established companies , at least they are more credible with longer history being in business.
I was the unlucky target of a big scam involving a vengeful ex husband & a crooked storage maintenance/facility manager couple ! he bribed and collaborated with none other than the "facility manager" into giving him a smaller space under his individual name( no mention of a wife!) with a ridiculously low rent, in exchange for thousands of dollars worth of MY inventory including countless racks & shelving material attractive opportunity for a storage unit maintenance keeper! basically gave away the entire set up cost for my home based business with utter vengeance . He then transfered discreetly all my belongings (community property) out of our mutual 8x10 storage & right into the maintenance keepers own storage! Using the excuse of "downsizing" he kept a few useless bins & junk in his new, empty and almost rent free storage which at last he did not want to pay a penny for , instead he asked the facilitator to put an extra lock so that I could not retrieve the remaining of the junk and so it would be auctioned off!!! CLASSY!! I have many regrets in life; first one being I married a low life looser, secondly Storing with Conejo U Store-It ! the experience of being denied access to my formerly joint storage( since they were well aware I frequently visited since 2006) & finding out, all my valuables had been given to none other than the greedy storage maintenance/ facility manager couple who initially when confronted by me could not keep his story straight and was evidently guilty beyond doubt. Knowingly being the owner of someone else's valuables without their approval or consent is indeed a Shameless tactic and in time we each get what was meant for us... This Entity undeniably earns a two thumbs down and I would be glad to see another management running it with a sense of ethics. read more
