The lady that works there is the most miserable person we've ever encountered. She yells at the customers, is beyond rude, and hates everybody, every time we have to deal with her. She makes sure to make your time there as difficult as possible. She literally has a reputation of acting irrational and rude. Like you know what youre about to walk into before you come in the door. We advise anybody looking first storage to stay far far away from this place. She hates her life. read more

The only thing worse than the move in experience was the move out experience where the manager accused us of purposely leaving a metal bed frame behind and of being dishonest. This despite the fact that I received two emails stating my move out was complete. First and last time I will use StorQuest. read more

Absolute worst stay at a storage property I rented a unit with absolutely no indication that it was a promotional deal as the price was advertised everywhere and they offered it without saying anything. They charged me for a crappy lock and they don't allow regular locks so you have to buy theirs Move in day, everything was inconvenient: glass doors close very fast, elevator door closes very fast and squeaks, you have to enter ur code every time u cross the glass door, or want to take the elevator .. insanely inconvenient but, I thought, it is a one time thing and and I can just suck it up. The facility is clean and I like it 3 months later I got 40 something percent increase letter, I called and they said the promotional period ended.. after back and forth I said, maybe I missed it (I didn't) and I will take the hit and I'm talking about 330 something to like 550 but it will cost me more to get movers Then.. 5-6 months later I got another letter with another increase, we review our prices to adjust for market and this time like 663 or whatever isnaaaaane! I called and left messages to the district manager or whatever his face is and nothing. Then.. another 5 or so months I got a letter that it is gonna be 750 or whatever (Don't quote me on prices but it was roughly 40% and then 18% and then 15% all in less than 13 months or so) I called again and after multiple calls he called me back, I explained, he said let me see what I can do.. and never called me back again I called to get a quote for a unit as a new customer and the price was half!!! So I called them again and told them you prefer to not treat ur customers right but get new customers instead? Nothing-they don't care. So.. I decided to move out In Camarillo, yes, few minutes farther but I do not need to access it often, I got the same size for 275, not promotional, locked for a year and they had the option to lock longer. Like I said the facility is clean, if you decide to rent there, talk about price and price hikes and all up front.. another tenant I ran u to told me they hiked his rate above 1000 for same size unit as mine. There is a lot of a vulture behavior knowing many cannot afford to move out so it felt like blackmail... Make sure you ask all the questions and lock price and all.. read more

Keegan and Jesus, smart guys who seem to know what they're doing. If they don't, then blame it on me. In the meantime, as a renter just starting out with StorQuest, I feel confident this is going to work out. Nice enough facility, handy to where I usually am, unit looks like it'll be sized just right, and a price structure that's more affordable than most and certainly not ghastly as some. So I'm in. Whenever I move out and move on, I'll give a follow-up. Until then, I think you'll find this will meet your storage needs and solve a few problems along the way. I'll give two stars as it's clean and new. But the staff is only ok. Two weeks ago I called to see what the policy was for giving notice to move out. He said oh.. all you have to do is give 7 days notice. Today, when I came to move out of the unit, I find out that no... you have to give that 7 days notice AT LEAST 7 DAYS BEFORE YOUR INVOICE IS DUE or you are fully charged for that month. A very very important part of the information I was seeking that was left out ... so now I'm stuck paying for almost a whole month I didn't need. I could have easily planned my move before the invoice came due. So disappointed they wouldn't even concede anything. Treating people like a dollar sign and not people. read more

Safest, cleanest storage I have ever used. Rates are close to what I paid in SFV for dirty, ashy, hot space. Definite upgrade. Staff are attentive, friendly and helpful. By the 101 & 23 fwy, easy to access. Quick in & out every time I need to move stuff. read more

I started out planning to rent at Westlake location. I was surprised when I got there to find out there's NO elevator. The young girl was far less than accommodating or interested in helping. I asked to speak to the older man in the office and if he was her boss. She told me she was the property manager here. (Oh,dear! Not a good sign...) Things turned around once I talked to the man, Carlos. He manages Thousand Oaks. He told me they have an elevator ( I can't climb stairs reliably having had broken ankles) and he tracked down the same size unit there. He also agreed to offer the 1/2 off first months rent. The $1 first month is on some units not all. Other than getting stuck behind the gate and not being able to get out until someone wanted in ( the office had just closed), from here things went far better at Thousand Oaks. Thousand Oaks the next day I waited maybe ten minutes for Jon to come to office. Give this man "all 10's" for customer service, attitude, efficiency, and over all 'having his act together.' We had a chance to talk as well. He seems interested / involved paying attention to the role their business plays in responsiveness to local residents as well as local politics. These days it's hard to find committed, responsible employees who really come off strong and great on first impressions. This guy is I believe totally promotable as a corporate exec if it interests him. He's not only someone who takes ownership of his responsibilities he's interesting and memorable. Jon and Carlos both come off great. As for the Westlake girl, I understand she's new. She was in her own world, own agenda. Maybe a bad day for her. I'd give her a "1" if I'm generous. She started by giving me wrong directions to the property by phone. As for Thousand Oaks location - squeaky clean, easy location, easy parking - but access closes at 7pm not 10pm. Hope this helps someone. Ask for Jon or Carlos though if you want help. It would be nice if they add an elevator at Westlake. That's a tough store up steep steps! read more

We came in for a tour because our cousin needed extra storage space. Jeffrey the property manager was very nice, helpful & knowledgeable with all good information. He gave us a tour of the 4 floor facility. The place is very clean. The basement is the only floor with air conditioning. It was a super hot day too. I've been with StorQuest since my freshman year over at California Lutheran and it has been a truly amazing and convenient experience. For someone who moved from out of state, working with StorQuest was a very smooth and stress-free process. Have just finished 4 years of having my things in storage. Found no bugs, excellent service and when I need anything Carlos was the man to see. When I emptied storage unit they provided the broom and I was treated with great respect in business. If you are looking for people that care, in this time and age this is the place. I have made friends with others having storage here and we all agree this is the best. UNPROFESSIONAL - SERIOUSLY BAD SERVICE!!! I have had nothing but problems with them for the last 3 years. The staff are badly trained and outright clueless. On multiple occasions they have given me the wrong pin number (in writing) and/or changed it without notifying me. Which resulted in me not be able to access my storage unit after driving all the way out there. The pin number is designed to allow customers access the locked buildings and electronic gate 24/7. The office is always closed with an "Will return at..." sign posted on the door morning, noon, and night... The staff is rarely ever there to help when the pin fails to work properly, which happens frequently. Last year, I went to retrieve a spare blanket from storage at 5:30pm They closed the entry gate while I was in my unit. I was only in there a few minutes. My pin failed to open the gate. I phoned the 24 hour service number posted on the wall repeatedly. Every call went straight to automated voicemail. I ended up having to call 911. The fire dept. eventually managed to disable the electronic gate. It was after 8:30pm by the time I was finally able to leave. I just got a email from Storequest saying my autopay didn't go through and threatening late fees. The visa on file passed its expiration a few days ago. The bank renewed that same card months ago. I emailed them the new expiration date. Caitlin refused to update it, despite the fact ALL information remained exactly the same, including the visa#. She demanded that I come in person to fill out a new form. And claimed that "no one can fill it out on my behalf". WTF! I'm traveling abroad and they expect me to drop everything, jump on a plane, and fly back because of an expiration date??? Storequest does NOT have a secure web porthole for existing customers to update their financial info online. SERIOUSLY??? This is a national chain! They have numerous locations across 13 states. What kind of company, in this day and age, does not offer this simple service? When I return to California, I am moving to another storage facility. I've had enough of their exceptionally bad service! read more

I had SUCH an amazing experience at StorQuest and with Carlos. THANK YOU CARLOS. We were driving from San Francisco to Thousand Oaks on a Saturday and we were going to arrive close to the closing time. We dealt with all of the "paper work" over the phone and by the time we got there it was closing time. However, he stayed past close to continue the process, even though he really didn't have to. I have used other nice storage facilities in the past, and StorQuest is another really great one. Convenient location, easy to get in and out, and very clean. They will even accept packages so they don't have to hang outside on your porch or by the mailbox, possibly waiting to be taken by someone other than the intended addressee. Carlos, the manager, and Jon, the assistant manager, are always friendly and pleasant, and super helpful. Is easy to see why they often have very few open units! read more

Called on the phone got 3 different prices for same unit , finally agreed to get bottom floor for a certain price , when I moved all my stuff over and looked at agreement they switched me to 4 th floor wth!? Pretty shady. They advertise one price and then when you show up it's always more. They also charge you $9.00 per month for insurance which may not be necessary. If you're a commercial building, you already have insurance. Plus, unless the people who work there are licensed insurance agents, they may not be legally allowed to sell insurance. The place is nice, but their business practices are crooked. read more
