My husband and I stopped by The Habit Burger & Grill last night while we were in the St. Pete area, and it was such a great experience! We're originally from California and moved to Florida a little over a year ago, and ever since then we've definitely been craving The Habit. We were so excited to stumble upon this location! One of the first things we noticed was that it wasn't busy at all -- which honestly shocked us (in the best way). Back in California, every Habit location always seemed packed at all hours of the day, so this felt like a treat. I ordered the Teriyaki Char with crispy green beans, and my husband got the Double Char meal with fries. Somehow, the food tasted even better than what we remember from California! My burger was cooked to a perfect medium -- which is rare to find at a fast-casual spot -- and it made such a difference. Everything was hot, fresh, and flavorful. We also had the pleasure of chatting with the manager, Danielle, who was incredibly friendly -- and funny enough, she's originally from California too! Small world! Every employee we encountered was welcoming, kind, and made sure to greet us when we arrived and wish us a good night when we left. The restaurant was very clean and well-kept, which we really appreciated. Overall, such a wonderful experience. We can't wait to come back the next time we're in the Clearwater area! read more

I had high hopes, but it was way below the hype for me. The service was okay, although I came when it was empty (11:30am) and it still took quite a while to get my food. I'm not really sure why. I ordered the single charburger with cheese, fries and a Pepsi. Sadly, the burger was nothing special. No better to me than Whataburger or Burger King. For a flame grilled burger, Seminole Gyros and Subs is far superior for the same price. Culver's is better as well, for the same price, although it's not flame grilled. Order was incorrect as we ordered both teriyaki burgers with no mayo & no lettuce. One was correct & one had lettuce but no teriyaki sauce! Also ordered an extra teriyaki sauce, but didn't get it! The burgers were rather small for the price & overdone! Tho only reason I gave it 2 stars was the sweet potato fries. They were very good! This place is my favorite burger place in the area. It is the only place I will get a burger or a cheeseburger just because I love onion rings on my cheeseburger and this place does onion rings really well. I love that. They have the really hot peppers and they are really, really spicy. It is always very clean here next time I'll ask to sub on the sourdough bread instead of the bun. read more

My son and I got a Charburger and a Santa Barbara Charburger. Both with fries and soda. We both loved our burgers and the fries were hot and crispy too. That said, there wasn't much that stood out in a way that would elevate my commentary to say this is a "must-stop burger place". This is not meant to be a slight on them or their product. I would definitely come back and eat here and if someone asked me how it was, I'd say "pretty good!" But not the best burger I've ever had or even in the area. Give it a try! read more

We found a new spot--well, new for my wife and me at least. We don't usually make it down to Eastbay Dr., but we happened to be in the area and noticed a burger place that definitely wasn't here a few years back. We decided to stop in for lunch, and I'm glad we did because they did not disappoint. The menu offers plenty of options, and the burgers are made to order. One cool detail: they'll cook your fries extra crispy if you ask. Naturally, I had to try them that way. We sampled both regular and extra crispy, and let me tell you--extra crispy wins hands down. They also offer onion rings for a small upcharge, which I'll be trying next time. The burgers were juicy, and they nailed the condiments exactly as I requested. Drink choices go beyond the usual fountain sodas; the lemonade stood out as my favorite. The atmosphere is fairly quiet, which I actually appreciate. Ordering is simple: use the kiosk to place and pay, then grab a seat while the staff brings your food over. "whataburger" that place can't get an order right so I thought wow, people should patronize Habit instead... until I ordered the chicken club. Truly a disappointment! I think they forgot the chicken! Date of visit: March 01,2025 Well first of all I don't really review fast-food spots but I felt like I had to review this one, I believe it is the only one in the area. After seeing a lot of hype and about this new burger scene. I know I gave it a three but actually a 3.5, I rounded down to be honest with myself. It was just before noon on a Saturday and out for a drive I decided to head to Largo and have a burger. It is a brand-new building and just as clean. Walked inside and no line, what luck...had time to look the menu over and knew all I wanted was cheese-burger and fries. Once again it was not busy so I sat where I wanted after ordering. Had time to look around, nice layout and clean inside. My food arrived, I had my burger loaded with LTO and cheese. It was well put together when presented. The thing that lost me was how dry the burger was, if not for the other toppings too dry. Well after all they do flame-grill the burgers and that seems to make them not as juicy. The fries were good and warm. Overall, if your that like flame grilled burgers this may be your place. I guess I'm more of a flat-top burger person. Give it a try, peace. read more

A modern fast casual burger joint with that was clean and not too greasy! The patties were on the small side but that is to be expected these days. If you have a bigger appetite I recommend getting double meat. The burgers are juicy and tender without being too greasy, you could tell they were fresh patties. The French fries were standard, but the onion rings had a lovely crunchy texture and were fried all the way through. There was no oily aftertaste indicating that the oil used was clean. The teriyaki burger's sauce was on the saltier side than sweet, but not overpowering. The BBQ sauce was also not overpoweringly sweet which was nice. We were offered a choice of sauces and I was intrigued with the 'spicy ranch'. The spicy ranch was honestly not that spicy, but it was a pleasing pink shade. The service was good. The lady who helped us was friendly and was prompt in making sure we were taken care of as soon as we walked into the door. I appreciate it when point of service pays attention to the door opening and closing! I will definitely be back, I would like to try the chicken bites which were advertised on a screen. read more

Well, we just had to try Largo's newest burger joint, the Habit Burger Grill. Which just so happens to sit next to Largo's newest fried chicken restaurant raising Cane. On East Bay Dr. I ordered a double Santa Barbara burger on toasted sourdough bread. It included cheese, lettuce, and tomato, avocado, and grilled glazed onions, with mayo, it was beyond delicious! My dining companion (my bride), ordered a single chai burger with American cheese in it, too, came fully loaded with lettuce and tomato, grilled onions, and mayo. She also enjoyed it very much. We also ordered an order of onion rings, and an order of french fries. The french fries were just OK, nothing fancy about them just regular french fries. The onion rings were pretty good. They were previously frozen, but had a nice exterior crunch. The mocha shakes were interesting. We both got one each. My bride had whip cream on hers and I did not. Lo and behold something was strange about my bride's mocha shake, the whip cream was unlike any whip cream we have ever tasted. It tasted much more sweeter, and almost tasted like a frosting. She could not taste any of the mocha shake, and was very disappointed in her shake. One more oddity I found, when paying with a debit/credit card before you even put the card in it asks you a question. How much do you want to leave for a tip? Are you serious! This is a fast food restaurant, such as McDonald's, Burger King, Wendy's. Why would I leave a tip when there is no table service? After you place your order, they give you a little buzzer that will go off when your order is ready and then you have to go up to the counter and pick up your meal. No tip is required in my mind. At least at Chick-fil-A. They do bring your meal out to you. read more

I'm in Clearwater, Florida, searching for a good hamburger and Habit burger was referred to me as one of the best burger spots in town, so I decided to check it out. I didn't understand the name, but after the first burger, I absolutely did. Those burgers are so addictive that you actually crave them and you gotta have them (this the name)! The servers are very personable, Mason is my favorite (he always have a great demeanor). My favorite burger was the mushroom burger, and the Santa Fe burger is a contender; the fried cauliflower was alright but the fried green beans were amazing and a must try. Habit Burger Grill is located on East Bay right next to Raising Canes. There's plenty of parking. The interior is upscale and spotless. Inside, you can either use a touch-screen monitor or there's someone to take your order. For lunch, we ordered a Double Char Cheeseburger and a Single Char Cheeseburger, both 'all-the-way". We both got orders of French Fries and Onion Rings. To drink, we got a Mocha Shake and a Chocolate Shake. For additions toppings for your sandwich, they have a unique pepper bar. The burgers were tasty but really messy. The meat was fresh but relatively small compared to the bun size. On my next visit, I would substitute the grilled onions for raw. The grilled ones just make the burger mushy without a real onion flavor. I really liked the fries and onion rings. The shakes were both great, too! Overall, we had a good lunch. The staff was very friendly and speedy. Habit Burger Grill is a bit pricey for what you get (in particular the burgers.) They don't have a Freestyle type soda machine and thus there's a limited choice for drinks. read more

Once again a good experience from these people. Long story short I placed a curbside order as I was leaving car wash across the street. I zoomed in and parked in a curbside spot...checked in and waited. and waited...and waited. I was getting annoyed that my order of two char burgers & a soda still hadn't emerged. So I got out of my car all annoyed ready to go in and let 'em have it. Then all of a sudden I noticed I was parked at Raising Cane's! After I started to panic and had sufficient embarrassment to replace initial annoyance, I bolted next door to HB. I parked in a curbside spot and got out, only to be met by Yazmin outside, with my order. Needless to say, she wondered what happened and I explained my SNAFU. We both had a little chuckle and she said that they "just made it," so it wouldn't be cold. I got home, and after the short ride it WAS still warm. Moral of the story: go hungry and leave full, because if you're anything like me, you may wind up having a slice of humble pie for dessert! Meanwhile, Yazmin is a good worker bee and has been every trip I've made into the 'ol HB. My husband was so excited that a Habit was opening near us. He couldn't believe it but luckily I caught their very small billboard on 19 and told him about it. He loves it especially because unlike most other burger places around here, he can eat their burgers as is because there is no dairy present in the burger, bread, or grill (as of the time of this review). Of course, be sure to let them know about your allergy so they can take the necessary precautions with your food. For me, the food is pretty standard and does not really stand out. I liked that you can upgrade to green bean fries but there is really nothing different about them from the frozen ones you can buy from your freezer section. The burgers were fresh and nicely crafted--not slapped together like at other fast food chains. But unfortunately due to price and general flavor, I prefer other burger joints. However, I will go back for my husband since he loves it so much. Overall, the restaurant was new, clean and well designed. We sat on the back patio, which is nice because you're a little farther back from the noise and traffic. read more

I wanted to try Habit Burger after hearing good things in the local media. I unfortunately cannot eat beef but they do have several other options which I appreciated. After ordering from the kiosk because others were being helped by the sole cashier, I had to wait about 15 minutes for my order, including my cup for my drink which is annoying because I was thirsty but the employees were busy. The kiosk doesn't allow you to add 'extra' anything so I couldn't order the extra pickles I like either. I doubt the drive through would've taken that long for the food but oh well. I ended up going with the impossible burger and fried green beans. I've had impossible burgers many times before and they can be either an almost exact match to a real burger or they are disappointing (usually because they are cooked incorrectly and/or not seasoned). This one was disappointing. It seems like it may have been overcooked and lacked the burger flavor I've experienced at other restaurants. The bun and other toppings were basic, I only ate half and threw the rest away. The fried green beans were crispy and fresh - I'd definitely get them again. The pepper bar was a nice touch and the restaurant was clean. Overall I want to go back to try their chicken sandwiches and the other veggie burger option but my first visit was not the best. Great food at this brand new shop along East Bay in Clearwater. Burgers are char-broiled, not fried. Delicious lean burgers big on flavor not in grease from the griddle. They're served in a eat-from wrapper which is handy because they're stuffed with lettuce,tomato, pickle and caramelized onion. Bun is nicely toasted. Everything is grilled to order, so you order at the counter and you get a pager to alert you to pick up the food. Sides are terrific too. At the DM's suggestion we tried tempura green beans. Outstanding! Even better dipped in the house-made ranch dressing. Sweet potato fries are crisp and perfectly salted. Definitely a fast Burger place to add to the rotation. read more

Let's start with the good. Excellent friendly, knowledgeable service! Cynthia went out of her way to assure us what was gluten free! She was great! All the staff seemed pleased at work. It was very clean and condiment and drink station was very organized. And let's be honest, not something you always experience especially in a fast food place. Prices are par. If you get the app you get a free Habit burger. It was the bait that led us there to give it a try. The onion rings and spicy red pepper sauce were good. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about the burger. It very plain, lacking in flavor in all areas (patty, toppings, etc.). My Santa Barbara Char was really tasty. I should have ordered just the single--but grilled sourdough sounded too good--and it was. My daughter wanted the tempura fries and a Banana Wafer Shake. It was more than either of us could finish, but we made a valiant effort. The staff were all terrific, everything was sparkling clean, and prices were reasonable for the quality of food. Good ratio of vegetation, fatty beef and condiments, it definitely punches above its weight. Is it gourmet? No but if you set your expectations on fast food, it'll impress. That said, what is legit impressive are theirs tempura green beans. I'm sure they aren't healthier than fries, but they are salty and will make you feel better. read more

Drive-through or go inside, either way you're taken care of wonderfully at this place. Everyone seems to be really happy to be working here. Food is amazing, cooked fresh when you order. It has a really nice clean industrial vibe inside for decoration. I really like coming here. They opened in April and this is my third time and I love it consistently good food. I have food, allergies and restrictions and they are amazing for adjusting the menu to meet my needs and expectations. And they even accommodate my service puppy with a burger patty with no seasoning on it. For those who can eat them they have tempura fried green beans. They look amazing. Sadly I'm allergic so I can't try them but they look very delicious. On the other hand, I can eat sweet potatoes and their sweet potato fries are on fire. They are so good. The burgers are delicious. I have not tried the chicken yet, but that will be the next time . This company originated in Santa Barbara, California and it's reflected in the clean fresh food that they make. I have been to this establishment many times and not ONCE has my order been right. I've asked for a manager many times and I'm always told that Danielle isn't here? I don't understand because I've gone at all different times of the day and she has never been there. The whole place seems to be chaos like there's no structure. They say quality comes first but it's clear they're lacking quality from opening premade bags of brown lettuce and putting them on the sandwiches. The food seems to have potential but the quality is lacking and the lack of management really shows. Would not recommend. read more

Stopped by this place for the first time with my wife and son. We ordered two burger meals, a chicken nugget kids meal, and a side of green bean fries. First off the lemonades are awesome and likely my favorite thing from Habit. Second, the burgers are small for the cost. About the size of a Jr bacon cheeseburger from Wendy's with more toppings but cost $18. For that price I'd rather go to an actual sit down place for a burger. That's reaching five guys kinda prices. I will say the burger was not bad though. Third, the half fries and onion ring option is perfect and both tasted great! Lastly, the fried green bean fries were not great. If you've ever had zucchini fries those have lots of flavor from what I've tasted. The green bean fries tasted like frozen green beans battered and fried. Wouldn't recommend those for sure. Overall with the price being closer to $60 I can't say I'll be back. It's just not worth it read more

I stopped by yesterday and got food to take home home for dinner. I put my order in online and when I got there I had to wait about 5-10 minutes to get my food but it was well worth it. .
