My 6 year old daughter and I had this on our bucket list after seeing so many posts raving about how great it was! I believe we randomly went on April 14 and I took her and my family as a surprise! Only two teenage girls were working with the most miserable looks on their faces! ZERO SMILES! Then I asked if they have some type of menu, they said no and to look at the board. Which had a couple of options, but not much. I said well your instagram has a ton of things on it, but I had no wifi so it wouldn't load. Drove out from Philly with vegans because they claim to have vegan options and have them displayed not only online but on their walls.. After driving here, we were told they only have two flavors (Pistachio and Cherry Vanilla.. not even good ones) and that Cookie Dough is "out of season" We then got my 3 kids a waffle cone with one scoop of ice cream.. it cost $21 for 3 scoops of ice cream. Total rip off and disappointed. I dont know if the girl charged us wrong but $7 is an outrageous price for a waffle cone with 1 scoop of ice cream. read more

Needs a lot of improvement in customer service. I never give low ratings, but I feel management needs to see this and put more time into training workers in customer service. The servers are very young, and have not been trained well. One girl was taking our order, and suddenly stopped taking our order because her friends walked in so she left us to serve them. We were in the middle of being rung up, and someone else took over, but not right away. We thought that was very rude. They also seem to be easily overwhelmed, despite the fact there are a lot of them. They also haven't been trained properly in how to handle questions about someone with nut allergies. More people have nut allergies now, so having staff that don't know how to respond or how to handle this life or death question is very disturbing. One girl told me they can't guarantee cross contamination, which I understand. She said I can order him a soft serve. She did not know about the cones, but then another girl said the cones should be fine. Then a 3rd girl said I actually can order a flavor from one of the tubs in front, but she will make sure she scoops it from the back with a fresh scooper. Which was a pleasant surprise. But then, after doing that, when I said I wanted sprinkles, she then took the ice cream that she had just scooped from the back, and rolled it all around the sprinkles that everyone uses! If there was an ice cream with nuts that had been rolled around in those same sprinkles, it would have not been safe for my son to eat. I took the ice cream and paid for it anyway, but wasn't happy at all. I carefully watched my son, and had him do a test bite. It turned out ok, and he could safely eat it, but that was NOT safe that she did that at all. Most of their problems can be resolved if management puts in the time to train their staff properly. The ice cream does taste good, and I do want to see them do well, however, we will not return any time soon. The cheesecake and cone were nothing special, while the homemade waffle cone was unique and similar to a funnel cake. Armed with a $20 bill on my pocket and after eating lite all day to bank my calories, I ordered a waffle that comes with 3 scoops of ice cream. The waffle was disappointing. It seemed to me that there was cinnamon in the batter. The waffles are made and waiting to be filled rather than making them to order and served warm. I tasted my friend's which to me was tastier. They sell a shake called Freak Shake for $18. That is not a typo. And for $7 more you can add more stuff. $25 for a loaded milkshake! It was busy and the girl behind the counter was happy to make my Freak Shake even though it's a pretty extensive process. It's a really amazing process to watch. My boyfriend and I drove 45 minutes today to go to Coney Waffle, as we have been trying to go there for some time now. We looked up online what their hours were. On Facebook, it stated they opened at 12, however on Google, it stated that they open at 2. So, we assumed it was 2pm and took the drive down there. We arrived around 2:05 walked up to the door and all of the lights were off and the door was locked. I decided to cut them some slack because maybe the person who was opening the store was running a few minutes late. We got back in the car and tried again at 2:16. Again, the doors were locked and the lights were off. I didn't want to wait anymore so I went next door and got Playa Bowls. I even asked the girl at Playa Bowls if Coney Waffle was open and she said no not yet. So my 90 minute drive was a waste. But here's the best part, I called Coney Waffle a little before 3:30. The girl answered the phone and I said "Hi what time do you open today?" And she responded with "we're open now" then I said, "well what time do you open today" and she said "2pm" so of course that enraged me because I was waiting there for almost 20 minutes in front of a locked door. I proceeded to tell her that I was there well after 2pm and the door was locked and she argued with me saying that I "was probably trying to open the wrong door" when I can 100% guarantee you that my boyfriend and I were literally yanking on both doors. Long story short, their staff are irresponsible and rude, their social media/website director doesn't have a clue what their doing. And I can guarantee them I won't be back. read more
