It's my first time here because I was awarded a gift card from a group. I had a great first impression when I ordered, but it went south from there. When one of our drinks came, I realized I made a mistake and forgot to change the milk. I asked the tall, young lady what kind of milk was in the drink, and she said it was whole milk. I said I'm lactose intolerant and won't be able to drink it, and she just said sorry to me. It's a bummer that I wasn't offered a redo of my order to help me out. Other coffee houses are more than happy to offer to fix the drink. I ended up giving the drink back and leaving. We drove out from Irvine to try this coffee shop out, and it's sad to say that I cannot recommend this place to others based on poor service. read more

We tried the iced Cajeta Latte with Oatmilk. This drink was delicious. This drink is more on the bitter side, containing a light sweetness to it. This drink had a soft, creamy tone to it that blended nicely with the subtle sweet taste! We also went with the hot Mazapán Latte with Oatmilk. This drink was nutty from the almond blend and had a very creamy texture to it. We recommend this drink hot as it contains more of that comforting taste that mixes well with nutty flavors. This little coffee shop in DTLB is an absolute treasure and must be protected at all costs. I came in on a Tuesday morning; there was one barista working both the coffee bar and the front counter, and there a few others inside waiting for their drinks. So many of their specialities looked appealing -- feeling like I was prepared for an early sugar rush, I ordered an iced mazapan latte, which was surprisingly subtle with its sweetness but very big with the peanut flavor. It felt like taking a childhood favorite and making it all grown up, but like in a classy way. I really enjoyed it. The space itself felt carefully curated to be home-y and comfortable, while being bright and sparking creativity. There were lots of little accents and treasures to find painted/written on the walls or sitting on shelves. While the coffee took a longer time than anticipated to be ready, time flew in this place. You can play chess, drink your lattes , do a little work, come have a beer (yes I said beer) need to join a run club also all done here! It's definitely a coffee shop for the community. My cousin is part owner and I needed to visit to rate it because I love to give my honest opinion and yes I love her and she came in clutch with all delicious flavors! I came in 3 times and my absolute fav was the rompope latte iced and the chagaccino - Yum! It's healthy made with mushrooms and sweetened with stevia and whatever milk you choose I recommend almond. I also tried the mazapan latte, we had the protein donuts, yum! She also has regular donuts and sometimes sweet bread on the weekend depending on the events she's got planned. I ventured out this morning on my day off for coffee that wasn't Starbucks and found this coffee shop through Yelp. What drew me here was the Cajeta Latte. I got it iced and it was delicious. The right amount of sweetness and it was honestly unique to anything else other shops offer. Employees were pleasant and the inside is cozy with lots of different types of seating for business, studying and a good casual first date location. Cute artwork and an inclusive space for all. They offer mobile printing services which was something I have never seen done before! I I was just, 12:05 PM Wednesday the eighth! I go out of my way to buy the coffee here I get a latte hot oat milk. It is more than perfect. I will walk as far as I have to to get this coffee and I thank you for that.! But and I hate to complain, but this is ridiculous. One girl rang me up and started making my latte. The other girl on shipped with her was slowly moving around cleaning and putting glasses away and just focusing on that the girl that was making my coffee stopped in mid coffee making and one thin ring somebody else up my coffee is sitting there. The shot is getting old. The milk is cooling down and the this girl who's just wandering around putting things away I know she's doing your job, but she just my coffee is sitting there and I literally had to ask her if she would finish my coffee. This is sad and I don't know if it's their training or what but I love this place I want to succeed but I'm sorry you can't let a shot sit there but I still love your coffee and I'm glad you're here but please give them training or something. I know another lady had a problem because they couldn't ring her up properly. she gave them the dollars .her and then she found her quarters, and the girl could not make the change and said she wouldn't do it so and they didn't know how to do it and she said she never come back because that really upset her because the girl just said we can't do that. The baristas are always kind, the drinks are amazing (and beyond reasonably priced, no $10 for a latte here!), and the atmosphere is welcoming, comfortable, and colorful. @confidential_coffee definitely became our ah hoc coffee shop while we stayed in Long Beach temporarily for a reprieve from the wildfire warnings in our Highland Park neighborhood which felt like a stone's throw from the Eaton Fire. This was not how we planned to spend the last week, but this little Latinx ‍ owned coffee shop made us feel welcome and grounded as we did our morning walks w Autumn who quickly expected her yogurt bite or pup cup wc they thoughtfully had on the menu. Our priority was to keep Autumn safe from the awful air pollution from mid last week and we're glad we played it safe. If you're ever in LB we recommend checking out this shop; our faves were the Mazapan latte and Horchata cold brew. Mazapan tasted of peanut butter version of Filipino polvorones --IYKYK! It's pretty wild that their community chalk board predicted "Out in 2025" with "Fires" topping that list ; we definitely need to do more wildfire mitigation and climate justice. One of my favorite cafes! I love how this is latinax owned cafe and they showcase their heritage through the decor and their menu. They even have a day of the dead shelf for their pets and their loved ones. The artwork showcased the day of the dead with the skull. The staff were super nice and patient with me as they let me tried to say the drinks. It was super quick. They don't have parking but they have free street parking near them. They also have Games, printer, Mexican candy, local artwork, even have feminine products in the bathroom, little notes to provide instruction, books, board games & trivia on Monday at 7 pm and open mic of Friday at 6:30 pm. I also love that they were playing Brooklyn 99 with no sounds on the tv. They got these wonky seats so if you need those uncomfy seats to be productive, this is the place. But they also got long tables with benches, so great for groups and couches. This is a great place to do work or friends date. They do have wifi and outlets. This spot is a WHOLE vibe! It's my favorite place to work in downtown Long Beach because the coffee is bomb, it's never too crowded, the music is immaculate, and the staff are all so sweet and chill.  The coffee isn't cheap (a latte will run you $6 + $1 for milk alternatives like oat or almond) but it's worth it. The coffee is brewed thoughtfully in a way that makes their brews taste unique and always delicious.  What I love most is that it's Latinx- AND female-owned. That likely adds to the personality and special flavor you feel as soon you walk in. It's also a spacious yet intimate space. It feels like a proper, cozy neighborhood coffee shop without the pretentiousness you may feel in shops like Rose Park.  My only gripe with this place is that the menu is pretty small. The have just coffee (drop, pour over and cold brew), classic coffee drinks, their special house lattes (their best offerings IMHO), and a small assortment of teas. They also serve a small selection of baked goods and breakfast sandwiches. I'd love for them to add more teas and vegan-friendly food options. But this is a coffee spot, and prepare their coffee well. So I can't be mad at em, ya know? read more
