I'm so frustrated with the service here today. I love this coffee shop, but the priority system makes zero sense. I stopped by before work and saw about 8 cars in the drive-thru. The lobby was completely empty--not a single soul inside--so I decided to park and walk in, thinking it would be faster. Big mistake. There were 6 to 7 staff members working, but they were completely focused on the drive-thru. They were incredibly slow with my order and ended up handing me my drink last. I watched every single car that was already in line when I arrived get their order and drive away before I even got mine. Also, in-person walk-ins should be faster, or at the very least, orders should be made in the order they are received. It is completely unfair to hold up someone standing right in front of you just to clear out the drive-thru. Extremely disappointing experience read more

I got the Dulce de Leche Latte and Tres Leche Muffin. First, the muffin was way better than I thought. I don't know what I was expecting to be honest, but it was soft and moist. It literally was a tres leche cake but smaller. It does fall apart quite easily so be careful while eating it. I appreciate that you could warm up the pastry. The latte was delicious. I'm the type that doesn't like the taste of coffee itself and prefer my lattes to be sweet. This matched exactly that. Cannot wait to come back again. read more

Can never go wrong with the horchata frappe 10/10 Their tres leche muffin is another must try. They definitely have an excellent selection to choose from. Great spot overall. The drinks are consistently on point, and the pastries are seriously delicious. You can tell there's real quality behind everything they serve. That said, I really hope they bring back utensils for pastries. Some of these items, like the tres leches muffins, are almost impossible to eat without a fork. It kind of takes away from the experience having to struggle through something that's meant to be enjoyed. Still a great place, just one small fix would make it even better. read more

It never fails with this location. When there isn't a 20 minute wait and you finally dont have to deal with a rude barista, and you get the nastiest drink ever. I ordered a rice n beans frapp like always. Right when I got my drink, I could tell there was something wrong. When I asked the barista why it was so dark he said thats how they make them. Mind you, this is the only drink I order here so I know what it should look like. When I took a drink it qas super strong. Too many coffee beans, by the 3rd drink I couldn't drink more. It was nasty. When I got home n poured my drink in the sink ,the whole bottom of my cup was ground coffee beans!! No wonder it tasted horrible. I dont know why i ever gave this location another chance. OMG! It was my first and second time here ever and both in the same day. I got one at like 11am and came back at 8pm. That horchata frappe is so so delicious. I'm never going to Starbucks ever again. The service is pretty quick even with the long line. Very affordable. Got 4 drinks in the for like $20 bucks. Can't beat that anywhere. I'll be going back very soon for more. After a dinner with a friend of mine, we went for coffee. Now please know that this was after most other places seemed to be closing. So we chose Tierra Mia Coffee. I've been to one before, but I enjoyed this location. The staff member that took our order was very helpful in explaining the flavors and was pleasant to talk with. Although the lady serving the drinks seemed like she was tired. Hahaha, and not as friendly. Hahaha... Regardless, it was busy at some point in time, but never got overly noisy. So it was a comfortable setting to hang out and talk while enjoying our drinks. If I'm ever up for coffee and in the area, I would definitely go back and try some of their other flavors. Love Tierra Mia! Haven't been here in a while but use to love it when they first opened the Long Beach location. My favorite is the rice and beans frappe. Great Latin inspired drinks and pastries. Always delicious. If you're in the mood for a coffee with a unique twist I definitely recommend. Also the late hours are so convenient when you're in the mood for some coffee or something sweet late at night! This location can be busy and has an odd drive through but luckily the staff does a good job to keep the flow moving. read more

Chocolate Mexicano Frappe: 4/5 Imagine a chocolate chip frappe with a dash of cinnamon. It's usually sweeter and bit stronger, but I think they were training someone new. It's a very pleasant and smooth flavor. The texture is icy, but in a good way, kind of like a finer shave ice. You should try it at least once! Sugar-Free Vanilla Almond Milk Latte: 4.5/5 They don't skimp out on the syrup here. I found it a little too sweet, but next time I will ask for it with less syrup. Like most lattes, the milks and syrups are pretty generic but I love the coffee here. Smoky and dark make it very flavorful and satisfying. Ambiance: I've never actually gone inside, only the drive through. Service: Even with long lines, the drive through is quick. Service has always been kind and attentive. This place is an absolute lifesaver for getting work done. 5 stars for saving my life. Lol I dropped my mom off at her doctor's clinic, which is just a short 40 steps away, for her f/u and IV injections. While I was waiting, I quickly realized the Dr's office didn't offer any free Wi-Fi, and I didn't want to drain my hotspot (I'd already burned through 30 mins) ‍ Soooo.... I decided to make a quick getaway to Tierra Mia Coffee, and wooooow genius ol' me should have thought of that a long time ago. The ambiance inside was so cozy and vibrant, it's giving Latino cultural vibes. Loved it. I ordered a matcha drink (of course) and was delightful. Along w/ that a tres leche muffin I couldn't finish. (big back status) I've also tried their delicious Horchata frappé in the past, which was 5/5. Next on my list? The Lavender Latte. Customer service was great and it was quick. Moved out of LA to Arizona and Tierra Mia is the one coffee shop I miss the most!! Every time I come back to visit, Tierra Mia is a must! Per usual, I always order sweet drinks so my go to is always the Horchata frappe... I love it every single time! This last trip I was hesitant on trying something different as I didn't want to regret wasting a drink knowing I wouldn't be able to come back the next day for my usual drink. I ended up changing it up. I had their horchata matcha and will say, I did not regret it! I was back in town the following week and decided to get their matcha again, I changed the milk to oat milk but I wasn't a fan. I felt like it changed the flavor tremendously tasting more like just milk. If your interested in trying it out, I recommend having it with the original milk. The service is always helpful, attentive, and accommodating! To me, it looks like the seating area could be a little more upkept. Usually in the morning they have two lines and the person taking the order would see which cars arrived first and take their orders first before moving to the next line to take their orders as many times I've gone here and been like this but this time when I went the person taking their orders first order was not doing that. There were people on one line waiting longer to order and second lane slowly was building up and instead of continuing to take the orders of those who been waiting longer she started taking the orders of those just arriving. Obviously this made me upset. I've been coming to this location for years now, and it'll always be a staple in my coffee on the go spots. I love that they have a drive thru! I usually order the same thing when I go but it was the last day of the year and I was like let me go out with a small bang and try something *different*. I tried the horchata matcha and boy was I surprised! This was a whole different flavor introduced to my palate. I was slurping on this drink like there was no tomorrow it was so giggity good!! I would hear about people raving about horchata matchas on social media but I would always forget about it. But wow. 10/10. Better than your ex. If you like horchata and you like matcha, you HAVE to try it. If you don't like matcha or horchata then don't try it. And if you like one and not the other flip a coin and see if it's your day to try it. For pastries I'm giving up my gatekeeping here but the tres leches muffin warmed up??? Ayoooooo that's some next level stuff. Absolutely heavenly. The way it's super moist and warm AND just melts in your mouth, hey stick with me I'm talking about a muffin... it's just very memorable and hard to forget about. Anyway there is plenty of street parking if you want to sit inside the tiny dining area for your snack and drink. The decor is sparse, bordering on ugly but clean and comfortable. I love coming to Tierra Mia, the service is always fast and the drinks are always consistent. I either order the horchata frappe or the horchata cold brew and it never misses. One thing I love about this place is they stay consistent to the recipes so it feels like I'm getting the same drink every time. Their butter croissants are so fluffy and buttery make sure to get it warmed up. I always go through the third drive through and when I say the line is always packed, it's sometimes around the corner. But the wait is never too long. However, having worked in and managed teams in similar environments, I know how important attitude is no matter the shift, whether it's opening, midday, or closing. I visited around opening hours (5:30 a.m.) through the drive-thru with my partner, and the interaction unfortunately created some discomfort. The girl on the headset sounded upset, short, and lacked any empathy or enthusiasm. Many people are up early to start their day, and it really affects the experience when, despite greeting staff politely, we're met with a flat "WHAT CAN I GET FOR YOU" instead of a simple "Good morning" or a friendly tone. Waking up and working super early isn't for everyone, so maybe this establishment should revisit who opens the store in the mornings. read more

Excellent! Do NOT let the long long long long drive-thru line discourage you. It's totally worth the wait. We had the cubanito- hot (available cold as well) and the cocolito and also the matcha and the orchata cappuccino cold.... They were ALL VERY good! Yes!!! This store opened on March 4, 2016. I saw it go up but had no desire to try it out. One day soon after they opened, my cousin asked me to have coffee with her. She took me here and I had no idea what to order. I went with something familiar to me. Horchata and a frappe. I've had horchata before and mocha frappes from Starbucks and McDonald's but never had a horchata frappe. I also ordered a tres leches muffin. Mind.blown. The horchata frappe has the texture of a regular frappe but at the same time has this light creaminess to it. I can't describe it correctly but it's so delicious. The tres leches muffin was amazing. Sweet but not like sugary sweet. More like a milky sweet. Ugh you just really have to try them both if you haven't already! With 20 locations in So Cal and 1 in Oakland, there's bound to be one close enough to you to try! 9/10 minus one star for the tight drive-thru. read more
