Love Tierra Mia! Haven't been here in a while but use to love it when they first opened the Long Beach location. My favorite is the rice and beans frappe. Great Latin inspired drinks and pastries. Always delicious. If you're in the mood for a coffee with a unique twist I definitely recommend. Also the late hours are so convenient when you're in the mood for some coffee or something sweet late at night! This location can be busy and has an odd drive through but luckily the staff does a good job to keep the flow moving.

After a dinner with a friend of mine, we went for coffee. Now please know that this was after most other places seemed to be closing. So we chose Tierra Mia Coffee. I've been to one before, but I enjoyed this location. The staff member that took our order was very helpful in explaining the flavors and was pleasant to talk with. Although the lady serving the drinks seemed like she was tired. Hahaha, and not as friendly. Hahaha... Regardless, it was busy at some point in time, but never got overly noisy. So it was a comfortable setting to hang out and talk while enjoying our drinks. If I'm ever up for coffee and in the area, I would definitely go back and try some of their other flavors. I can't say I'm an expert at their blends of coffee, but I did enjoy my Mazapan Peanut Frappe, and strawberry tres leches muffin. Enjoy!!

Chocolate Mexicano Frappe: 4/5 Imagine a chocolate chip frappe with a dash of cinnamon. It's usually sweeter and bit stronger, but I think they were training someone new. It's a very pleasant and smooth flavor. The texture is icy, but in a good way, kind of like a finer shave ice. You should try it at least once! Sugar-Free Vanilla Almond Milk Latte: 4.5/5 They don't skimp out on the syrup here. I found it a little too sweet, but next time I will ask for it with less syrup. Like most lattes, the milks and syrups are pretty generic but I love the coffee here. Smoky and dark make it very flavorful and satisfying. Ambiance: I've never actually gone inside, only the drive through. Service: Even with long lines, the drive through is quick. Service has always been kind and attentive. Parking: Parking is a little cramped and you can get trapped by the drive-thru line. Not big car friendly.

This place is an absolute lifesaver for getting work done. 5 stars for saving my life. Lol I dropped my mom off at her doctor's clinic, which is just a short 40 steps away, for her f/u and IV injections. While I was waiting, I quickly realized the Dr's office didn't offer any free Wi-Fi, and I didn't want to drain my hotspot (I'd already burned through 30 mins) ‍ Soooo.... I decided to make a quick getaway to Tierra Mia Coffee, and wooooow genius ol' me should have thought of that a long time ago. The ambiance inside was so cozy and vibrant, it's giving Latino cultural vibes. Loved it. I ordered a matcha drink (of course) and was delightful. Along w/ that a tres leche muffin I couldn't finish. (big back status) I've also tried their delicious Horchata frappé in the past, which was 5/5. Next on my list? The Lavender Latte. Customer service was great and it was quick. I managed to knock out some work while sipping on my matcha, all while awaiting my mamasita's return. What an enjoyable experience! Thanks for reading if you made it thus far.

Moved out of LA to Arizona and Tierra Mia is the one coffee shop I miss the most!! Every time I come back to visit, Tierra Mia is a must! Per usual, I always order sweet drinks so my go to is always the Horchata frappe... I love it every single time! This last trip I was hesitant on trying something different as I didn't want to regret wasting a drink knowing I wouldn't be able to come back the next day for my usual drink. I ended up changing it up. I had their horchata matcha and will say, I did not regret it! I was back in town the following week and decided to get their matcha again, I changed the milk to oat milk but I wasn't a fan. I felt like it changed the flavor tremendously tasting more like just milk. If your interested in trying it out, I recommend having it with the original milk. The service is always helpful, attentive, and accommodating! To me, it looks like the seating area could be a little more upkept. Other than that, I 100% recommend Tierra Mia Coffee and Pastries!

OMG! It was my first and second time here ever and both in the same day. I got one at like 11am and came back at 8pm. That horchata frappe is so so delicious. I'm never going to Starbucks ever again. The service is pretty quick even with the long line. Very affordable. Got 4 drinks in the for like $20 bucks. Can't beat that anywhere. I'll be going back very soon for more. Thank you for an awesome experience.

So many other options but these two had caught my eye.

I had the dulce de leche iced latte and a churro muffin and I was a happy camper after that. They were both delicious! The service was great, no complaints! The ambiance was nice! I will be back if I'm in the area! Thank you!

Ordered a dulce de leche frappe. Was drinking it then felt something hard pass through the straw. Thought it was ice so i tired to bite it but it didnt break. Spit it out and it was this.

I've been coming to this location for years now, and it'll always be a staple in my coffee on the go spots. I love that they have a drive thru! I usually order the same thing when I go but it was the last day of the year and I was like let me go out with a small bang and try something *different*. I tried the horchata matcha and boy was I surprised! This was a whole different flavor introduced to my palate. I was slurping on this drink like there was no tomorrow it was so giggity good!! I would hear about people raving about horchata matchas on social media but I would always forget about it. But wow. 10/10. Better than your ex. If you like horchata and you like matcha, you HAVE to try it. If you don't like matcha or horchata then don't try it. And if you like one and not the other flip a coin and see if it's your day to try it. For pastries I'm giving up my gatekeeping here but the tres leches muffin warmed up??? Ayoooooo that's some next level stuff. Absolutely heavenly. The way it's super moist and warm AND just melts in your mouth, hey stick with me I'm talking about a muffin... it's just very memorable and hard to forget about. Also it was extremely busy for being NYE so the customer service was lacking in terms of friendliness and such-- they just took my order and went back to making drinks but hey I get it there's was probably 12 drinks waiting to be made from the drive thru alone. The inside has plenty space to have ur cafecito and chisme. But the parking is very limited and it's a small lot.

    Coffee is so amazing here!
    Joan S.

I love this coffee shop and spot! I always come here in the morning and the line is usually not that long. I love their Rice and Beans Frappé! It's my go to! I love the combination of the horchata and coffee beans! I get the crunch while I sip on my coffee. It's usually more calm during the morning before 9AM, after that, it's always busy here so lines can get pretty big and noisy.

    James A.

Why was today my first time here!? I ordered the horchata cold brew with oat milk and omg it is so smooth and great flavor! The drive thru is a hot mess but I have to say the drink was worth the wait! I'll have to find out when their off peak hours are so I can go back then.

How many bathrooms do you have?

    One, and its very clean!

Is this location still open during the virus? If so what are the hours everyday? 😭

Yes this location is open during the covid-19 pandemic, stay at home orders everyday from 6 am - 12am

Is the horchata latte cupcake making a comeback?

Does anyone PLEASE know the recipe to their tres leches muffins?

Yes it's a pound cake muffin & they inject condensed milk in the center and let it sit for 30 min or more. They don't do it there, their pastries come daily from other bakeries such as Porto's, but I think they make their muffins them selfs off site…

    Do they do travelers?

Yes, although I'm not sure about the price.

Do you guys have Coconut milk?

    No.

    Does this location have WiFi?

    Yes

Do this location offer any non dairy substitutions for the coffee?

They do offer soy and almond milk. I actually prefer the iced horchata latte with almond milk, it tastes better!

I get no answer, this a working number for Tierra mia in Long Beach?

Yes, but good luck getting someone to answer.

Does this location get really busy inside? I'm looking for a place to host a meeting for a group of about 10 and I've never been. Thank you for your input :)

It can get super busy depending on the time of the day and day of the week. During the weekends, definitely busy. Weekdays from 9am to 3:00 pm, not that busy. You might want to arrive early to secure the tables.

    What are their holiday schedules?

New Year's Eve - their signage say "TBD" (as of 12/26/17)

    Is it open today?

    Yes

This time (yesterday), however, was not nearly the same experience. First of all, I realized we couldn't book a table for 8 people, so me and my friends book 2 tables for 8.30PM. I called asking if it's possible to put our tables together close or side by side, they said they will try their best. We all showed up at 8.30 and waited until around 9-9.15 because they only had 1 table ready. Ok. Come the time the other table opened and it's not even that close to each other. But it's okay, I respect the limitations on this part. No one came to us to take our order or even give us water until way later, and we got our drinks at 9.45. Another critique is that my friend called and ask how much corkage fee and they said $25. It turned out to be $40. Another disappointment, but it's ok. Not much can be done bout that part. Next thing is the food. We enjoyed the fried green beans. Crudo was really really salty, and it's not only 1 person thought that. We wondered if the kitchen mistakenly salted the fish twice. We enjoyed the peach salad. We ordered a few different pasta and the tagliatelle in particular was disappointing. It really lacked flavor that we had to mix the other pasta dish sauce to it. The pork plate was good, a bit small but we enjoyed it. Now the mussles and frites were disappointing too. The sauce just didn't do it for me (other friends agreed). I always talked really highly about Nonna Mercato (I also enjoyed the brunch so much) and always told people that this is one of my most favorite restaurants in Long Beach, but this one really missed the mark for me and my friends. I don't know if this would make us want to go to Summer Nights again next time. For $130 per person (after tax, tip, and corkage fees), I definitely hoped for a much better experience.

Our favorite is the chocolate concha. It is crisp, fresh, and has the slightest sourdough flavor. I tried the dona one time and while it was great. It was just too much for me. It is so well complimented by the cold brew and it's so smooth and not too sweet. My husband also liked the taste he tried but he went with my now second favorite the Dulce de Leche. What I love about this place is that everything is balanced. Its not too much of anything just perfect. The concha isn't too sweet. It's balanced by the sourdough which is complex. A great alternative to Porto's!…read more I bought a wide variety of empanadas here, including the breakfast and burrito flavors, and they were all incredibly savory and delicious. You have the option to buy them frozen to save for later, but they honestly taste best when you eat them fresh right at the bakery. A quick tip if you order online: Make sure to go straight to the front and let one of the many employees know you are there for a pickup. They only call out names for in-person orders, so you'll be waiting a while if you don't speak up! I also tried their new seasonal sandwich--the pulled pork melt and the very popular nonseasonal sandwich crispy chicken sandwich. Both were very filling and packed with flavor. Just make sure to eat these fresh, as they will likely get soggy if you try to save them for later. They have a great selection of desserts and coffee drinks that I didn't have room for this time, but I'll definitely be saving those for my next trip to Long Beach. If you're looking to try something a little different from the usual spots like Porto's, I highly recommend checking this place out. I will definitely be returning to try more flavors!

My partner and I visited OBRA HandBakery for brunch after our marathon and this was a solid choice…read more It's quite the small shop with seating on the counter and 3 tables on their outside patio area. Parking - Free in a shared large parking lot, plentiful We were both intrigued by their potato balls, empanadas, and breakfast burrito in which we ordered 4 potato balls (2 chicken/2 beef), 2 empanadas (1 chicken, 1 beef), and 1 breakfast burrito to share. Our order came out in about 10 minutes or so, not too busy. Total came out to about $42 which is quite expensive for the amount of items in my opinion. 1. Potato Balls - By far my favorite menu items from the visit, they weren't as crispy/crunchy as Portos but they're bigger. Portions are big and it's filled with your choice of filling, very delicious, highly recommend 9/10 2. Empanadas - Usually I love empanadas but these were a bit disappointing on my end. They were softer than empanadas that I usually have, although delicious still but definitely not my favorite from the bakery. 6.5/10 3. Breakfast Burrito - Talk about portions, this breakfast burrito is loaded with ingredients, eggs among many other ingredients, super flavorful and savory. It does have a bit of a kick to it which adds to the taste, pretty good! 8.5/10 Overall, a solid brunch spot, although a bit expensive, it's still worth to check them out. Pretty decent tasting potato balls, breakfast burrito is big in portion and delicious as well, along with their empanadas which can be a hit or miss depending on the style of empanadas you like. Definitely a good spot for a snack even if you're in the area.
