Last night we realized we had a toilet/septic issue. Called Conforti, Dave said he would be here at 7:30 this morning (got here at 7:20!). My son Michael and I had left to go have breakfast, so we wouldn't be in the way. My husband was holding down the fort. He called me about an hour later, and said Dave had figured out the issue and fixed it - and also did a bit of extra repair to make things more secure!! Amazing company!! We had a plumbing issue we thought from all the rain recently and decided to try our home warranty, that was a mistake as we had issues with the 1st plumber who came out at 6pm at night and stated we needed to hydro jet not snake. We were given a 2nd plumber who could not come out until the 10th but we had been emergency mode for 5 days not able to wash clothes, use the bathroom etc.. I decided to call Conforti as they were about 4 blocks from my house and told them my story and she stated Monday would be the earliest someone could come but due to the circumstance she would try to get someone out today. Long story short they were here a few hours later, snaked the clean out valve and off they went. It took them 30 mins and were highly professional. I would give Conforti 5 stars!!!! Our tech was courteous and got the job done. But we have some qualms with the overall job. First off, he used our auger. He did come in with his electric auger later, after the base hour was burned up and I was now being charged every 15 minutes. We had no issue paying our bill but my husband wanted to discuss our concerns with management before paying our bill. When the owner called us, he accused of us not wanting to pay (which was not the case). He then said, we shouldn't be mad at them (the company) we should be mad at our daughter (who is 10 by the way) for causing the drainage stoppage. Last I checked this is a business. Why would a grown mature adult tell us to be mad at our daughter for causing the issue? We accepted the fact that we had to pay for someone to come out and fix the issue, what we weren't ok with was the fact that their tech used our auger to work on the toilet and appeared to milk the first hour. Let me also mention that technically our bill should have been more (according to the owner) but his tech left out a charge but that the owner will disregard it; so does that mean that since his tech used our auger for however long we shouldn't be charged for that timeframe since he used our equipment? I'm really mad at myself for not going with another company I was originally scheduled with but this company was referred to us by our neighbor. I would not recommend this company at all! read more

Here is the issue with Conforti at our Placerville home. Their individual plumbers are (usually) good and very helpful. Their company policies are terrible. For instance, they put in a new clean out for us, snaked our toilet, and checked the septic. "All is good now," was the report, "but let us know if you have any problems. We will be right out to take care of it." Well, we did call when a problem arose, essentially immediately after the "fix." The company did not stand by the work it did, nor did they offer to "come right out and take care of it"--we'd have to wait until they could get to us. So, we get to wait and pay again for a job we were assured was done correctly the first time. Also, you should know that after they finish a job, it is their policy to charge you for the time it takes them to write up your invoice!!! Wow, talk about nickel and diming the customer. We had used them for years, but now that we know their business practices, we will be looking elsewhere. I will also be advocating that others do the same. read more

My septic line was clogged, and I paid $650 to another plumber who spent 5 hours using faulty equipment to get the drain running, but two weeks later, it clogged again. Conforti sent two men who were able to clear the mess immediately using the proper snake with a claw. They were polite, professional, and knowledgeable. To make it even better, they gave me a senior discount! This company and the technicians, Lou and Rob, have restored my faith in plumbers. I will use them again, if the need arises. read more

I had a problem with my septic tank and the only reason I called them is because the builder had them listed as the folks that installed this tank. When I called, I told about this problem, she (secretary/front desk) never mentioned there is a service call charge. The guys came out and gave me a bill for $102. I got real angry and the gym said that unless you ask, then the lady's in the front desk will not tell you about service charge. I think that is a very shady and used car salesman way to do business. read more

Probably have used Conforti at least a half a dozen times for plumbing needs and will continue to do so. They are professional and do quality work. For the most recent work, Nick spent a great deal of time with us on our estimate, making sure we understood the repairs he would eventually complete or quote us on. Day of first repairs, they were completed on time and with great attention to detail. Conforti Plumbing has been to our house on two occasions. Both times they have been punctual, polite and very honest. For example, today they came out regarding our "dead" garbage disposal. When it was turned on it did absolutely nothing...no noise--no nothing. I pressed the reset button and tried to unlock it using a disposal wrench, but it was frozen. Since we were sure we needed a new one, we asked if they carried them on the service truck before coming out. They could have easily sold us a new one, but instead "unfroze" our old one. We will continue to call them when we need service. We very pleased with Conforti Plumbing. read more

This is a lousy company at best. Their customer service is abysmal. Their service technician named "Rob" has been to our house a couple of times. The first time, he was extremely rude and distasteful when he burped in my wifes ear. We overlooked his poor manners and they sent him again because their other service technician "gets claustrophobia"! Rob showed up in brand new jeans and a flashlight...apparently he was not planning on working?? He made an excuse and blamed us that we did not prep the jobsite (even though he hadn't communicated what he needed) and left...almost as if he would take any excuse that would save his pretty, brand new jeans...Extremely dissatisfied with the service and poor communication, I spoke with the OWNER (Marvin "Nick" Collins) and he was extremely degrading toward me when I questioned him about his companies lack of communication and willingness to complete our job. BD mainly dealt with the actual plumber but I spoke to them on the phone three times. Each time they were friendly and helpful. We needed someone to come out to check the plumbing in our toilet and we were lucky to get same day service. They call in advance to let you know when they are heading towards you. Prices were good and BD insisted that I give them 5 stars. He really seemed to enjoy the plumber and learned a lot. Highly recommended. read more

They did a fantastic job and we would recommend them to anyone. We called the company and asked if they worked on our particular type of hybrid water heater. They assured us that they did. However, when the technician came out he stated that he had never seen a water heater like ours. He did take it apart, but was unable to fix it. He offered us a quote for a new HVAC unit (?) and then recommended we replace our hot water heater that is still under warranty. I did contact the office, but no one ever called me back. read more

This company came to my rental property to clear a clogged line. They never cleared the line. They were unable to send a camera down the line to see what the problem was that day. It would take another two days before they could get a camera. As the house was unusable due to the clogged line another plumber had to be called so I would not have to pay for my tenant to stay in a hotel. They ended up trying to charge $575.25 for doing nothing other than making an attempt to clear the line which they couldn't. This is a ridiculous amount of money and it was ridiculous that they couldn't clear the line or even find out why they couldn't clear it. read more

Non existent customer service. Apparently they don't need customers. I had Nick come out to give me an estimate for installing an electric heat pump water heater. He promised he would email me an estimate. When I didn't hear back from him I called the company asking about the estimate. I was told they would check with Nick and get one sent out immediately. Once again I never heard back from anyone from Conforti. My thought now is if you can't get them to respond to a proposal then it seems likely you wouldn't hear from them is there was ever a problem with their work. read more

I have, up until January 16, 2017, been a fairly satisfied customer. On this particular day, however, Conforti plumbing took 3 seconds to slide a bypass switch to off. They then charged me $97.00. I was told $97.00 was the charge for their service call. I think I will charge them $97.00 for being a repeat customer. This will be my service charge for them. After all, they are not a viable business without customers and that is a service we do for them. I am very dissatisfied. The fact that this is industry norm, per Conforti, is not adequate justification for fleecing their clientele. read more

It's never a good sign when there is water leaking from behind the wall under the kitchen sink. I made several calls to other companies, but was not able to actually speak to a person and had to leave messages hoping for a call back. I was pleasantly surprised when I called Conforti and they actually picked up the phone! She was able to schedule someone to come right over and take a look. Fred came to the rescue. He was courteous, extremely friendly and in a great mood! He assessed the situation, and before I could pile another dish on the counter..he resolved the problem. BEWARE! CONFORTI PLUMBING IS A BIG RIP OFF. My first impression of CONFORTI was great! The office staff worked diligently to find an appt time that would work for me. And, the Service Tech who came out was friendly and seemed knowledgeable. But, then reality happened...the job ended up being $500+ over the estimate. Something is wrong with this picture! Several areas "The Service Tech" should have done better (obviously). From measuring the water heater closet -to- looking under the house -to- being prepared for the job. Oh no, he had to drive back to the shop for fire proof paint and the correct size piping. AND, I'm being charged per hour? Wrong, just wrong. Several questions popped up about my bill so I called the office to get answers. Got the run around. THREE CALLS later I get a response (sort of). A lot of placating and one sided talk, talk, talk. So much talking I forgot (almost) what I wanted to say. I was in a room full of people and apparently they could hear me across the room. Word of mouth advertising can be good or bad. In this case - you be the judge. So, in summary: if you have a lot of discretionary income - go with CONFORTI. But, if you are like me, a disabled person living on a fixed income...find some other company to do your work for you! P.S. Their senior discount is a measly $4 off their $110 labor rate. On 11-29-2019 at around 10:00 AM Hawaii time, I was sitting in the airport in Kauai when my house sitter sent me a text saying that all three toilets were clogged up and dirty water was backing up into both showers. Realizing this was the Friday after the Thanksgiving holiday, I reached out to Conforti Plumbing because they had snaked my system on Christmas morning a few years back. and it was worth the extra holiday pay to have my toilets flushing again ASAP. When I called from the airport on 11-29-2019 at 10 A.M. Hawaii time / 12:00 P.M. California time, I was told there was no way anyone could respond to my issue before I was to arrive home that evening. After spending a week in Kauai, the last thing I wanted to come home to, was 3 clogged toilets, and dirty water in both showers. Luckily, I was able to get an emergency plumbing visit from Rooter Hero and my issue was resolved before I got home. I was loyal to Conforti Plumbing based on the way I was treated on Christmas morning a few years back, but I wont use Conforti Plumbing any longer based on this latest experience. read more

Our main water line broke at 530AM and it was raining heavily. It was a freak accident where a water faucet sticking 2 feet out of the ground had been sheared off by a rogue garbage can. Water was shooting 3 feet in the air. I called Conforti and they came right out. Turned off the water and began digging. Because it was so cold and still heavily raining, it was a mess but Conforti did what needed to be done. They had to go for parts and spent most of the day fixing it.
