Hmm, thought I already posted a review last week but it's disappeared.... anyway, these folks are very polite and responsive on the phone, scheduled appointment, Peter (the plumber) called on his way out to my place and was quite punctual, did the work quickly and efficiently, was friendly and explained what he was doing but wasn't overly talkative (you know what I mean, the folks that never shut up and you have other things to do with your day) nor did he try to lecture me on the intricate details of plumbing (thank gawd), The price seemed reasonable. We have several rentals, in a few Counties in N. California, and when we find a Licensed, bonded, contractor that is excellent to work with, and their prices very fair, WE KEEP THEIR PHONE NUMBERS, AND NAMES, AND THIS INFORMATION IS ALSO ADDED TO OUR SPREAD SHEETS. Conforti Plumbing just got done re-plumbing our bi-level house, with a separate apartment downs stairs, (they each have their own hot water heaters). A few days later we received the Bid, (we definitely expected a higher number, we have been around the horn a lot of times, in a few Counties in our Real Estate Careers, A good company, we keep). After we received the Bid we met with Nick one more time and went around the house to confirm the complete plan of action, and we even added a couple of things. After going around the house we signed the contract. We had a service call on 6-22-18. Earlier then the appointment time because they had a cancellation. Worked out better for us. No water was coming out of the shower faucet. NEGATIVE STARS...DO NOT USE CONFORTTI PLUMBING, GO ELSEWHERE! "Service you can trust" hahaha thats a joke! Dont trust the reviews or star rating on their website! Had a pipe break in the wall on a Sunday. Called them and after explaining what was going to be needed found emergency service prices outrageous. Was able to cut the sheetrock (nicely so repair would be minor) and cap the pipe so we could wait until Monday. Spoke with them Monday explaining again what was needed. They sent somebody out without the proper parts so he had to leave to get the part which we later found was on our dime. During the job we were asked to get him a bucket because the pipe wasnt empty when he cut it and water was going everywhere. When the job was finished we found he had torn the sheetrock instead of nicely cutting it for easy repair, and no clean up was done (there was wet sheetrock on the floor, the bucket with water and trash inside). When trying to put the portion of sheetrock that was nicely cut by us back we found that it wouldnt go flush with the wall because of the angle he had installed the pipe. After finally getting in touch with the owner a couple days later didnt find much sympathy about the situation. Apparently he has low standards for his employees and allows them to do shitty work. Tried offering us $50 after paying $350 when they were here working for a little over an hour. During which they are costing us further because we now will have to pay for sheetrock repair that is not going to be cheap thanks to them tearing instead of cutting the sheetrock. Not to mention the office lady lying and saying we didnt tell her (twice) what was needed resulting in us being charged drive time to get a part. What a JOKE!! read more

I had a plumbing emergency on Sunday. Turns out they would not take my call on a weekend when I was using a home warranty company. Then on Monday they said that they could not get to my emergency till Tuesday. This company doesn't seem to care about their customers. The price we got on our tankless water heater was probably the average rate and the service was very good. The guys were very knowledgeable and helpful. However, we did not get our estimate in writing and the actual cost for everything was $900 more than the verbal agreement. GET YOUR ESTIMATE IN WRITING FROM CONFORTI!!! read more

Fred and Wayne were here today to fix my water pressure regulator. They were great! Professional, friendly, cleaned up after themselves... Since this was a home warranty repair they had to get the needed approvals. They did that here on the spot and were able to complete the work the same day. I've used Conforti for years at our Placerville home and have always been happy with the work finding the plumbers to be top notch. However, two weeks ago I was dismayed to learn that Conforti requires their plumbers to include the time it takes to write the invoice in the amount the consumer pays. The plumber actually charged me for the 15 minutes (!) it took him to write the invoice. Given the hourly rate of $90, I paid $22.50 for the invoice. I called the company and one of the owners confirmed that she does require the plumbers to bill for the time required to write the invoice. Here's a question: how do you know how long that will be until AFTER you write the invoice? Further, the total bill was for over $1,100 for 7 hours to install 5 bathroom sink faucets that I had previously purchased. No where on the invoice was the hourly rate listed, nor the cost of the additional parts to install the faucets. I had to call Conforti to find out their hourly rate that was not provided on the invoice. Do I get to bill Conforti for my lost time in having to find out the billing rate left off the invoice I paid their plumber to write?!!!! Turns out those extra parts the plumber used to install the five new faucets I provided cost $500 - almost as much as I paid for the faucets! Btw, my spouse and I have TONS of experience with home repair contractors as we own 6 houses across other Calif. regions and states; we thus are aghast at this unusual and mean-spirited billing practice. I will be contacting the state attorney general's office to see if charging consumers to write invoices is legally allowed. But, meanwhile, consumer beware! read more
