Came here today (Sunday) at noon and the place was completely empty, which maybe should have been a sign for us to try somewhere else, but we were hungry and already here. The breakfast burrito was $18 on the menu but when I got my receipt it turned out to be an extra $3 for Chorizo even though that surcharge is not on the menu (it just says choice of bacon or chorizo). Came here for happy hour. $29 for 3 tacos and unlimited margaritas/wine/beer for an hour is an amazing deal. Our waitress refilled our drinks without even asking, was able to get 3 drinks in. The margaritas were refreshing, tasty, and had a respectable amount of booze in them. The tacos are also legit: good portion of protein, flavorful, they allow you to choose up to 3 different proteins. This is basically one of the only "nice" restaurants near Mount Sinai Hospital, so they get traffic from there. The staff are nice but inefficient and the service is slow and prone to errors. We waited quite a while for the 8 taco special. They also didn't split the bill correctly so I paid a lot more than I should have. I would avoid it but some times there is no choice. read more

My husband and I came in here for the first and last time today. When we walked in, it felt like we were intentionally ignored by the staff. The coldness was palpable. In retrospect, that should have been enough for us to walk ourselves back out but as it so happened, we requested to see the takeout menu. Did we look poor? Maybe we just didn't carry enough haughtiness in our entrance? All this aside, I was still open and ready to eat an outstanding burrito. This proved to not be the case as it was NOT a good burrito. Very mushy and not much flavor. Chipotle actually has better burritos but at least with Chipotle you don't feel like you're getting got. What a lovely spot for dinner! We lucked out with a quiet evening and the food and service were excellent. The guacamole was freshly smashed and the corn chips lightly salted. The well-blended salsa was more green chili than red and quite mild - a hit if texture with the guacamole on a chip. The shrimp fajitas were a hit although heavy with onion, many of which were left on the plate. The veggies were cooked to have a slight crunch, confirming freshness. The tortilla soup - I opted for added chicken - was silky smooth. Big chunks of avocado added texture and taste as did the cheese. I enjoyed what I didn't finish for lunch the next day. We had the house margaritas which were traditional and delicious. Salt covered half of the rim of the glass, which was a nice look. I didn't run out of salt. Happy hour is supposed to be fun but too loud to share a conversation. We lucked out on a quiet night at the end of the year to enjoy all the gems this restaurant has to offer. read more

Walked in with my wife and went to the bar. Bartender seemed too busy or too uncomfortable to serve me. He never made eye contact or said hello, welcome or 2 for lunch? We stood for almost a minute at the bar unnoticed before I then walked to the end of the bar and asked the other server, a pleasant gentleman with vitiligo if we would be able to order to-go. He said yes and handed us a menu. We ordered the very expensive but uninteresting burrito. My wife and I were initially drawn to the restaurant by the colors and the minimalism but after the treatment I can see that appearances are deceiving and the coldness and lack of heart are all this restaurant serves. Came here with my daughter before heading up to Yankee stadium for the game. She said it was new and I said let's grab a quick drink and appetizer. We both had margaritas which were good I had a single taco for $5 ( I thought the price was dam cheap in todays world ) she had the elote corn. Terrible service! I went once waited at the bar for 20 minutes to get a drink and asked for water and was given a cup of water in a shooter glass. Decided to come back again to give it another chance which was a mistake. Waited at more than 15 minutes to place a drink order at the bar. No one even said hello that entire time. Then we ordered appetizers and Fajitas and an order of there Brussels sprouts to split with my husband. All good came out at once when we specifically asked appetizers to come and then fajitas and Brussels sprouts. When Nachos came they were cold and chips tasted stale. I sent them back and I be er do that. Calamari tasted like it was leftover and attempted to heat in microwave but was also cold. We never ate the fajitas bc we were told they would take them back to keep them warm. Then we were told by Bartender he would just cancel them and we have to reorder them if we want them. Never was served napkins or silverware until we asked for a manager which we never do. We were berated by the bartender saying all we needed to do was ask. In the meantime we have been in restaurant for 45 plus minutes trying to get attention to ask for silverware and napkins and attempting to eat woth serving spoons in hope of our food not getting more cold. Also we asked twice for more water bc we were served shooter glasses (see picture) smaller than my regular mixed drink glass. While everyone else who was getting water had bigger glasses. When we asked a 3rd time we had a bottle of water shoved our way and said here. Then we were approached and asked what the problem was and we explained everything and was told that what do we won't them to do. I said nothing. I just won't be coming back. Then they preceded to argue with my husband and said we have complained enough and kicked us out. It was the most unprofessional and worst service I have ever in my life experienced. I definitely plan to tell everyone. Good luck to them bc never have I seen someone be so rude when the bartenders and servers when they are 100% in the wrong. George our waiter was as great as the food! He was making rounds for his many tables and kept food coming out of the kitchen constantly for the two hours we were there. Our food was amazing , we couldn't stop eating and ordered several "rounds" ourselves. We even brought home the chocolate cake for later ! My wife and I made a reservation for Valentine's Day. We were really excited to see a new place open in the neighborhood. We were clearly on a date but were sat in the middle of several of what seemed to be happy hour work parties where everyone was drunk and loud, when there were obvious open tables in the back for two which would have been way more appropriate for a romantic valentines date, and other couples coming in with reservations as well were all sat in the back. George was our waiter and we received minimal service from him throughout the meal. Our drinks came out after our meal was served and he offered no refills on our drinks or water throughout the meal and never asked how everything was. My wife's steak was chewy as well. We were planning on a lovely evening out as this was our very first Valentine's Day as a married couple, but we couldn't wait to leave. The food was otherwise good and the bussers were great, but the ambiance and service were severely lacking. We got a bag for our food, stacked our plates, had finished our drinks, and just sat there. No one offered to top off our drinks or show us a dessert menu (which we were planning on ordering before we got there). The staff hung out together and talked. We eventually interrupted them to ask the manager for the check.
