It's nicely done but too small with only a few tables and like 6 parking spots that are shared among several busy businesses including other popular restaurants. Our server was a little slow and didn't bring out the appetizer until the food was already there too. Luckily it worked out because the sampler was so hot it needed a few minutes to cool down before we could touch it anyways. If you can get a spot it's definitely worth a try.

Jacob P. Was our server and he was awesome. He explained the menu to us and gave us feedback on what he would recommend of the options we gave. He was constantly checking on us to make sure we had everything we needed. We started with the chips and queso. It was good, but nothing to write home about. Just your normal chips and queso. I had the catfish lagniappe and it was SUPERB! I loved the blackened catfish over the grits with the yummy crawfish sauce. The flavor combinations were on point and I throughly enjoyed every single bite! My husband had the Caribbean steak and really loved the flavor of the steak, but it was cooked a little more than the medium he asked for. The flavor made up for it though and he cleaned his plate. We both had the honey bacon brussel sprouts which were very tender and tasty as well. Pro tip, make sure to get all the yummy sauce that settles in the bottom. My son had the chicken Alfredo pasta along with a Caesar salad and he enjoyed his as well. If you're ever in the Starkville area, I highly recommend you give this place a try.

It proved to be a magnificent decision! From the exterior, the establishment presents an inviting, polished presence, and stepping inside only elevates the experience. The entire venue is impeccably pristine, boasting a wonderfully refined and spotless ambiance. I opted to take a seat at the bar and kitchen area, which features a brilliant, well-appointed setup. The service was prompt, professional, and delightfully warm from the start. The bartender, Hannah, was absolute perfection attentive, gracious, and extraordinarily welcoming. Upon her prompt inquiry, I ordered a Blueberry Minitini, which was mixed flawlessly, crisp, and utterly divine. To accompany my beverage, I selected the Belgian waffle, which arrived with impressive speed. It was beautifully prepared, light, and thoroughly delicious! Between the swift service, spotless atmosphere, and Hannah's top-tier hospitality, Commodore Bob's Yacht Club earns absolute full marks from me. After parking with total ease outside, I stepped into a wonderfully inviting atmosphere that impressed me immediately. The decor is executed with great style, featuring a charming bar area alongside sophisticated, private dining tables. I opted to be seated at a lovely private table for a quiet, serene meal. The service was an absolute delight attentive, gracious, and utterly professional. My server, a delightful young woman named Sarah, took wonderful care of me and noted their quite impressive wine selection. To begin, I ordered an Espresso Martini, which was mixed to sheer perfection a delightful boost and more than enough to set a splendid tone for a Sunday afternoon. For my main course, I selected the Shrimp Gamberetti. The dish was a complete triumph, remarkably generous with high quality shrimp, beautifully seasoned, and served piping hot. From the stunning decor and pristine ambiance to the exceptional cuisine and flawless service from Sarah, this visit was worth every moment. Full marks I shall most certainly return whenever business brings me back through the area!

A couple of other large parties had the same idea and I was glad we made advance reservations. Staff was attentive throughout. The bread service was a very good Italian type bread loaf slices with olive oil. I would have liked some Italian seasoning to add to it to make it even better. For appetizers my daughter insisted on the Fried Mozzarella Ravioli and I wanted to try the Arancini. Both were excellent! My wife and I decided to split the Seafood Linguini and each got a salad. I chose the Caesar side salad and she wanted the Italian side salad. I was wanting to try their gnocchi but that was the 1 item on the menu the server said that they did not have. (Unfortunately I didn't't find out until after I tried to order and had my mind set on it) There was a good amount of seafood but 1 more shrimp would have made it much easier to split evenly. Even sharing we were full especially knowing we had cake waiting for us back at the condo. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their choices as well. I can see why Taste is the go to choice for my daughter and her husband when they want to celebrate.

We opted for bar seating and had water brought to us while we scanned the expansive drink menu. In addition to the signature cocktails, there is a variety of hard liquor, an amazing amount of whiskey, wine, (both red and white) as well as an impressive draft beer menu. It should be noted that there's a whiskey flight for $20 and you get a 1 ounce pour of each whiskey. It looks like there are seven on offer for this special. We didn't try it so cannot offer any more insights on that. We ordered the January gumbo special"Baby Duck Gumbo" - mine as is with chicken and sausage for $9 ( interestingly with okra which is only ever found in seafood gumbo ... at least in Louisiana) and the other with the addition of shrimp for $5 more. We asked for the saltines to be left off as we don't like to waste food and aren't fans of these old school standards. We split the brisket melt on marbled rye instead of Texas toast and left off the American cheese too... yeah we're *those* people... the sandwich comes with a choice of house seasoned fries or potato chips and we ordered the fries. The order arrived together (sigh). I would have preferred the gumbo to come first, then the sandwich, but hey, my mistake I guess I *should've* said something. Of course, I thought it was common sense that it should come in two courses instead of altogether. ... On a brighter not the order came just as we had requested and was a nice presentation. The gumbo was hearty and had plenty of protein albeit more rice than I would've liked. NOTE: if you are not an okra fan, beware. Both of us are good with okra so it was not a problem, but they do have plenty of okra in this gumbo. My dining partner said to skip the $5 add on of shrimp because although they are plentiful, they lack flavor. The sandwich is a decent size and was very tasty too and we both gave it a thumbs up. The fries were still hot and had a nice subtle flavor. Overall we'd give this roadhouse feeling, zany atmosphered little joint on the corner of Old West Point Rd and University a recommendation. The servers could use a refresher on how to greet guests and checking on them at least once during the meal :/ (1 star deduction) Oh, hey, they also have ample outdoor seating which is pet friendly for well behaved dogs.

We enjoyed it then but she doesn't think the regular hummus has enough flavor. I like the Traditional Gyro (Gyro meat, lettuce, onion & tzatziki) but normally leave the onion off for personal preference. The side of Seasoned Fries are fried perfectly and seasoned well. Granch dressing for dipping makes them even better. My vegetarian daughter loves the Falafel Gyro! We also tried the Pita Mozz appetizer (pita, mozzarella, granch dressing). Pretty good but not a must have. On our most recent visit the service was not good at all. After being told that the drink menu board was not correct and they haven't bothered to update it for a while, my daughter asked for a sweet tea instead. Once our food was brought out they asked do you need anything else and she mentioned to them that she was still waiting on it, they said they would send the server by. Eventually the server made their way back by and she told him she was still waiting on it and he apologized and went to get it but did not immediately return. He apologized when he did make it back and again when he brought the check saying that it was busy. There were only a few other tables and they did not seem to be having similar issues with their servers. The food is good enough that we will likely return at some point but probably will not be high on our list.
