This has to be the best BBQ spot I have ever found. The owners are genuinely from the South and…read morebeing a family business, it has stayed consistent! The meatloaf...GET THE MEATLOAF! There is literally NOTHING that is bad here. As soon as you are seated, you are treated like family. You feel the love in the food. It's a clean place too. Lots of cool things on the walls. Def check out this spot.

REDD'S SAMPLER REVIEW (Includes two sides and cornbread)…read more Here's what I ordered and my honest ratings: Sweet Tea - 7/10 Good, but not quite that true Southern sweet tea flavor. Collard Greens - 7/10 A little more tangy than I prefer, but still decent. 1/4 Rack of Ribs - 8/10 Great flavor, just not falling off the bone like I personally like. Beef Brisket - 8/10 A different cut than I'm used to, but still flavorful. French Fries - 10/10 Crispy, hot, and easily the standout. Cornbread - 7/10 Didn't try it this time, but from a previous visit it leans a bit dry. Parking: Street parking available. It wasn't hard to find--we only had to walk about a block. Accessibility: There are steps to get to the second level (about two steps), so something to keep in mind. Amenities: There is a bathroom that's spacious and clean, with a changing table and wipes, which is a big plus. Atmosphere and Service: The staff was incredibly engaging and worked really well together. Depending on when you go, they may also have a small market set up. Overall, this was a top-tier experience, especially when it came to the service and overall environment.

My husband I have been to this restaurant several times over the years. We're two homesick Texans…read morethat moved to PA about 7 years ago and this is the CLOSEST to Texas BBQ you're going to get in the state of PA (much less, perhaps, the ENTIRE East Coast). We come for the brisket, okra, and jalepeno cheese smoked sausage. We appreciate that Dickey's doesn't serve the brisket pre-sauced. They leave that up to the customer as opposed to ALL of their competitors (in Pennsylvania) which do the OPPOSITE and heap on tons of sickenly sweet BBQ sauce on theirs. There is a saying in Texas that the sign of a BAD pit master is slapping BBQ sauce on everything and calling it BBQ. THOSE places are hiding something. Not Dickey's. The brisket can stand on its own. And the fact that they serve up fried okra proves it's legit. However, the reason for this review is to give mad props for the staff that waited on us today (Mother's Day), with huge props to Jenn. We came in and placed our usual order and Jenn offered both my husband and I each a free cookie for Mother's Day. She was so kind and personable. She made sure we recieved top notch service and our meals were PERFECT. So thanks to Jenn and the rest of the staff that worked today! We didn't feel so homesick after our visit. Thanks for the southern hospitality! We miss that the most.

All was exactly as we had hoped. Very good. Would definitely repeat if I lived here. Be aware if you are on the road needing to turn left you will need to continue over the bridge across the river (Halifax exit) and return. It's worth the reroute.

Red Rabbit Drive In comes up quickly on your right side so be prepared, but as soon as we pulled in, a server came right over to our car to take our order. We had already looked at the menu on line and knew we would order a Bunny Burger, which they cut for us, and a pork bbq sandwich (also cut for us so we could share). The burger has its own special sauce and that, along with the pickle and onion, made it delicious. We also loved the pork bbq sandwich which was topped with a sweeter pickled relish. Yum! I especially enjoyed their milkshakes which are made with real ice cream and are thick and creamy. The black and white was perfect, but we also tried their peanut butter chocolate. Divine! They then put a number on your car, and when the food is ready, bring it over to your vehicle on a tray which attaches to your window. We were so excited, and everything was delicious. Keep in mine, they're cash only and when you're finished, they ask you to turn on your hazards and will come back and pick up your tray and trash. FYI, the bathrooms were very clean. We'll be back in the spring when we can enjoy the whole experience with the windows down and music playing.
