Excellent portion sizes and quality food. Easy to miss place on the side of the road, but well worth the stop!

Fire & Ice Smokehouse & Creamery is the Real Deal !…read more We spent the afternoon at Lake Tobias and wanted to stop and have dinner somewhere on the way home and based upon Yelp Reviews, this was our place to stop at, and it did not disappoint ! What a charming and amazing local restaurant owned by a husband and wife and I had the opportunity to meet the wife who is just a very nice individual and took the time to explain a few things that we had questions on and we really appreciated that. They have plenty of seating for large groups and small groups and we were lucky enough to get a table that held our nine people. Plenty of parking outside and in the back for overflow parking and they do have a little area out front where if you wanted to sit at a picnic table under an umbrella, you can it's a very nice little area. The inside is extremely clean and very neatly decorated, and the smell of the barbecue is incredible. We ordered a full rack of ribs, and they are definitely fall off the bone full of flavor with an array of various sauces for every taste and naturally had to try each one of them and they are all very good and they make it in-house, which is a bonus ! The mac & cheese is completely off the chain very very flavorful and we tried the regular and not to smoke which I'm sure is just incredibly tasty. The tater tots are done perfectly the other folks that we were dining with, got an assorted meat platter, which was bountiful of various meats and just looked incredibly delicious and they loved it. Almost forgot with a rack of ribs. You get a square of their homemade cornbread, which was delicious. The service is impeccable and as soon as we are done eating, they make their own ice cream and you need to go over and take a look at all the different selections of ice cream they have and we opted for the s'mores and one other one and it was really really good ice cream. We do highly recommend stopping here, all of the food looks good and is done with love you can tell that.

We stopped by Road Hawg BBQ on a Wednesday around 5 PM, and it ended up being a really smooth,…read morefamily-friendly dinner experience. Parking was easy, with spots right up front and no meters to worry about, which is always a win when getting kids in and out. The restaurant itself had a relaxed, welcoming feel. Inside, there was a mix of seating options including booths, half-booth tables, and standard tables, plus high chairs available for younger kids. One thing I appreciated was that the bathroom was very clean and surprisingly spacious. When you order, they give you buzzers for your food, and the staff was incredibly kind about it. My kids all wanted a buzzer too, and the employees happily gave them one, which honestly made their night. Small interactions like that really stand out to me when visiting places as a mom. One thing to know before you go: they do not have a soda fountain machine. Drinks are bottled or prepackaged options including Coke, Coke Zero, Diet Coke, Sprite, Barq's Root Beer, Gold Peak Tea, and water. Complimentary water is available as well. They also accept both cash and card. What We Ordered I ordered the BBQ Sampler which included: 1/3 rack of ribs 1/2 lb pulled pork 1/2 lb beef brisket 4 wings 2 sides (I doubled up on fries) Rolls included I also grabbed a bottled Coke. The food came out quickly, definitely no more than about 15 minutes from ordering to table, which was impressive for dinner time. Food Thoughts The fries were honestly one of my favorite parts. They were super crisp and fresh. The wings were good, and I tried one of their newer sauces, a chipotle-style sauce. It personally was not my favorite because it had a much stronger Dijon flavor than I expected, but if you enjoy bold mustard-forward BBQ flavors, you may like it. They also had multiple sauce options available including: Sweet Sauce Mild Sauce Hot Sauce The pulled pork was solid, but the beef brisket really stood out to me. It had great flavor and was probably my favorite meat from the sampler. The ribs were also good, especially paired with their regular barbecue sauce. The cashier was very nice. The only issue we Had was because it was the first time and we didn't know when we'd be back again because we don't live in the area the last time we were in PA was a year ago. I wanted to add brisket to the Diablo bowl along with chicken and they couldn't figure it out, manager came over there. They didn't know how to ring it up and so me and my partner just decided he would try one. I would try one. He did want to try something else, but we just made that compromise I think in the future for them they would make more money if they would offer adding sides of meat for people that wanna try two different kinds of meat in the bowls. But with that being said, the food was very very good and plenty. We were stuffed when we left and we both agreed that we would come back again.

I do appreciate the effort - however, I met the owner of this barbecue joint during the pandemic when they had a spot at the Boscov's in Colonial Park, right in the parking lot. And well, now they have a spot at the old Shakedown Barbeque, and I must say people used to go way out of their way to go to the Shakedown barbecue spot. Well, now I don't know if they go out of their way to go to this barbecue spot, and I could give you some reasons why they might not. The food is definitely good. However, the first time I went, I got charged extra than what the price was on the menu. The second time, it was the same thing! Why, you may ask? Well, it's simple: larger prices, smaller portions. I guess when you have a beautiful face like mine, you just gotta pay extra. However, the establishment when I first went there was very nasty. It smelled like urine and, of course, there was dirt everywhere--and I mean dirt, I mean like caked up on the ketchup bottles and the restaurant tables. I honestly did not even want to sit inside, so I didn't. I wanted to support because the owner is prior military, and of course, I do love our veterans that fight for us, but I can't really tell because of how filthy the establishment is. The dishonesty as well the filthiness inside! Portions are definitely a turn-off as well. I do not recommend this place at all whatsoever, even though the food might make up for it. I didn't want to take pictures because I felt as if would ruin my review reputation smh. Branden-Lee AKA B L E E

We sat in addition where it was rather loud due to 5 kids at one table with their parents, and another party of 12 in there. The acoustics aren't terrific. Didn't ruin the experience, but just know in case you are sensitive to noise. Ask to sit in other areas. Very friendly employees! From the moment you step in. Hostess was nice and our server was terrific (shout out to Riley). She kept checking in on us and made sure that we had all that we needed. We ordered a margarita and I wouldn't recommend this at all. It tasted like lemonade and a some tequila. They also put sugar on the rim. It was subpar to say the least. It was nothing as described on the menu (fresh squeezed lime juice). We ordered the fried pickles for an app and I highly recommend them. The sauce that is served with them is great! For entrees, we ordered the Bone & Butt (ribs w/pulled pork) with a side of baked beans and a burnt ends meal with sweet potato fries. The ribs and pulled pork were absolutely great! Even the burnt ends were good too. However, I do like super wet sauces and they do come drenched in BBQ sauce. That was a me problem as I should have asked and I forgot. I should have ordered them plain. The corn bread was okay. We asked for butter for that. The fries were fabulous. The baked beans equally as good. There are two different sauces on the table for you to put all over the things. You can tell that they are making these things in house and take great care to make sure that they are good quality. The portions are terrific and the prices super reasonable. They have an extensive dessert menu. We didn't order as couldn't fit anything else. We even had to take to go boxes. This is located near Great Wolf Lodge! If you are staying there, this is super close and worth the drive. It's also not far off of 95 so if you are in the area swing by - worth the drive off of 95 (not far at all). Would for sure come again! Very tasty.

I had the double Patty smash burger with bacon and it was one of the best burgers I have had. There was also some homemade pickle Chips that were delicious. We split a PB pie. I hope they do coconut pie at some point. My only critique is the burger (all sandwiches) should come with potato chips. Or fries but I am thinking they don't have a fryer there. I didn't mind the price of the burger but the sides were too expensive for me to add. I just wanted something more with that burger. If that burger had Chips would be 5 stars. Highly recommend this place. I look forward to eating there again.

This place started showing up in my social media feeds constantly. All day. Every day. Smoked meat?…read moreI'm listening. Smoked meat and homemade peanut butter pie? In the same building?! Immediate must-try status. I hatched a plan to visit on a chilly January Friday night, knowing they'd recently been selling out of items before their posted 7pm closing time. The target: 5:30pm. Risky enough to feel exciting, early enough to still secure smoked meat. A calculated move. Get Smok'd is located in a strip mall, and when I arrived, most of the front parking spots were full. Brief "oh no" moment...then I snagged a spot from someone pulling out and hustled inside. The dining room was much more spacious than it looked from outside, though many tables were already filled. I stepped up to the counter fully prepared--having studied both the menu and their social media all week in belly-growling anticipation. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with street corn and a fountain soda. Adventure Buddy went with the Lamb Gyro special, coleslaw, and a soda. Total for dinner came in around $40, which felt very reasonable for the amount of food. We timed it perfectly. About 10 minutes after we arrived, a large party of ~20 people walked in and filled a reserved table. More folks followed right behind them and suddenly the place was packed, buzzing, and running low on seats. Lamb Gyro: Fantastic. The smoke really came through on the lamb, and the tzatziki was super cucumber-forward, which Adventure Buddy loved. It was also a generous portion for the price--always appreciated. Street Corn: First off, the presentation was on point. The husk flared out like a little sunburst--very eye-catching. The cook on the corn was perfect, seasoning was just right, and the ear itself was a great size. Goldilocks corn. Coleslaw: This one missed the mark for us. The cabbage itself was fine, but the dressing was very bland and there was a lot of it--bordering on cold coleslaw soup territory. Not our thing, though it might work for some. Pulled Pork Sandwich: The pulled pork? Fabulous. Moist, juicy, perfectly smoky. I paired it with the Lawd That's Good traditional sweet sauce and ate every last bite of the meat. The roll, however, didn't live up to the pork--it felt like an odd mismatch. I skipped the bread and focused on the star of the show. Peanut Butter Pie: I...was not prepared. I did not expect a smoked meat joint to casually deliver one of the best peanut butter desserts I've had in a long time. This isn't a slice--this is a personal peanut butter pie. I'd guess 5-6 inches wide, about 1.5 inches thick, served in its own tin and piled high with whipped cream. This wasn't dessert--this was an entire second meal. At $10, it was worth every single penny, and I seriously debated ordering another. I will absolutely be back just for this pie. Overall, Get Smok'd BBQ earns a solid 5 stars from both me and Adventure Buddy. Friendly staff who checked in, meat smoked to perfection, and a peanut butter pie that completely stole the show. Good lawd! PRO TIP: If you're planning to visit later in the day, check Get Smok'd on social media first. They sell out. Early. Often. Don't waste a trip just to find locked doors and shattered BBQ dreams. This place is hot right now--and very much worth the visit if there's still smoked meat left to be had!
