Horrible picture due to bad lighting in the car, but this is a Double Bunny Burger. Messy, but pretty tasty.
Tim S.

On the way to Penn State, I saw this place off to my right and it looked pretty cool. I had my Brother text me the name of it while I was driving and then looked it up later during the game. We decided to come here for dinner on the way home from the game. It's an old school drive in. You pull up, put on your hazard lights and a waitress comes out to your car to take your order. I went with a Double Bunny Burger, split an order of fries with my Brother, and I got a large raspberry shake. My Brother got the pork bbq sandwich and a chocolate shake. The waitress gets your food and delivers it to you on a tray you hang on your partially rolled down window. Old school cool! How was the food? It was pretty good. The burger was a tad messy, but was tasty enough. 2 patties on a sesame seed bun with lettuce, tomato, bacon and special sauce. Kind of a smaller burger, but it was ok. My Brother liked his pork sandwich. Fries were really good! Dusted in their own seasoning, crispy and tasty. The shakes were bomb! My raspberry shake was perfect! Definitely a cool spot to stop at on the way to/from Penn State. They don't have many old school drive ins left, so stop while you can. The waitress that came to our car was incredibly sweet! Good times!

First off, are you willing to die for a great burger? I would typically say "NO" but everytime I head east on SR 322 I realize I'm taking a huge risk to stop at the Rabbit. Access is horrendous and the place is always busy. That said, I stop at this place everytime I pass by because it is that much of a treat! It's a drive-in. You pull up and the waiter/waitress come up and take your order. They deliver the order to your car using the window tray system. Check their hours and days of operation, they're seasonal, and make sure you have cash! I always order the "Bunny Burger" that's made with beef (it's confusing). I typically get 2 single patty 1/4 lb bunny burgers, with their special sauce?, on a sesame seed bun. I do not like their upcharged poppy seed roll (hard/stale). This is possibly the greatest combination of size, roll, toppings, sauce, etc. in the burger world. If I were to do a burger challenge it would have to be here because I could polish off a full tray, with the right incentive. Other than the milkshake and fries, which are just OK, I honestly don't know what else they offer and don't care to find out.

Great shakes, great burgers, great fries, great everything. The staff are very attentive and the service is fast. It's a pretty cool place to try. You roll up in your car, park, and put your 4 ways on to alert the staff that you need something. The food comes out on a tray that they place on the driver side window. This is a seasonal place, so they're only open during the warm months. They have a seasoning called bunny dust that is phenomenal, you can even buy it for $7. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area.

What a cool retro experience!!! We arrived for lunch on a rainy day and it was not busy at all. Every time I pass this place it is always crowded so I felt like we had a VIP experience. They are open rain or shine and served us in the rain. I really appreciated such great service. We ordered two burgers and a malted black and white milkshake. Both were amazing. I loved the sauce on the burger and the smoked bacon. It was perfectly assembled. The shake was rich and thick... the way a shake should be! Cash only facility FYI!

An absolute must try vintage roadside drive-in! We were looking for a cool spot to grab some food while on the road and this place looked awesome. My wife and I are huge fans of still active vintage and retro locations so this was right up our alley. It looked kept up and maintained well. Be warned, you will wait at least 30-60 minutes for your food on the weekend. It is certainly worth the wait! The food is exactly what you'd expect from an old school drive-in with a pretty extensive menu. My wife, and daughter and I each got something different and we were all happy with our choices. If you like retro roadside bars and restaurants, Red Rabbit is a must try!

Is the Fried Chicken and fried fish as good as the burgers? Also, I was with if the sandwiches are the same as the dinner ones, same with the fries shrimp side? I'd like to know what Bunny Dust tastes like too.

I do appreciate the effort - however, I met the owner of this barbecue joint during the pandemic when they had a spot at the Boscov's in Colonial Park, right in the parking lot. And well, now they have a spot at the old Shakedown Barbeque, and I must say people used to go way out of their way to go to the Shakedown barbecue spot. Well, now I don't know if they go out of their way to go to this barbecue spot, and I could give you some reasons why they might not. The food is definitely good. However, the first time I went, I got charged extra than what the price was on the menu. The second time, it was the same thing! Why, you may ask? Well, it's simple: larger prices, smaller portions. I guess when you have a beautiful face like mine, you just gotta pay extra. However, the establishment when I first went there was very nasty. It smelled like urine and, of course, there was dirt everywhere--and I mean dirt, I mean like caked up on the ketchup bottles and the restaurant tables. I honestly did not even want to sit inside, so I didn't. I wanted to support because the owner is prior military, and of course, I do love our veterans that fight for us, but I can't really tell because of how filthy the establishment is. The dishonesty as well the filthiness inside! Portions are definitely a turn-off as well. I do not recommend this place at all whatsoever, even though the food might make up for it. I didn't want to take pictures because I felt as if would ruin my review reputation smh. Branden-Lee AKA B L E E

Fire & Ice Smokehouse & Creamery is the Real Deal !…read more We spent the afternoon at Lake Tobias and wanted to stop and have dinner somewhere on the way home and based upon Yelp Reviews, this was our place to stop at, and it did not disappoint ! What a charming and amazing local restaurant owned by a husband and wife and I had the opportunity to meet the wife who is just a very nice individual and took the time to explain a few things that we had questions on and we really appreciated that. They have plenty of seating for large groups and small groups and we were lucky enough to get a table that held our nine people. Plenty of parking outside and in the back for overflow parking and they do have a little area out front where if you wanted to sit at a picnic table under an umbrella, you can it's a very nice little area. The inside is extremely clean and very neatly decorated, and the smell of the barbecue is incredible. We ordered a full rack of ribs, and they are definitely fall off the bone full of flavor with an array of various sauces for every taste and naturally had to try each one of them and they are all very good and they make it in-house, which is a bonus ! The mac & cheese is completely off the chain very very flavorful and we tried the regular and not to smoke which I'm sure is just incredibly tasty. The tater tots are done perfectly the other folks that we were dining with, got an assorted meat platter, which was bountiful of various meats and just looked incredibly delicious and they loved it. Almost forgot with a rack of ribs. You get a square of their homemade cornbread, which was delicious. The service is impeccable and as soon as we are done eating, they make their own ice cream and you need to go over and take a look at all the different selections of ice cream they have and we opted for the s'mores and one other one and it was really really good ice cream. We do highly recommend stopping here, all of the food looks good and is done with love you can tell that.

I had the double Patty smash burger with bacon and it was one of the best burgers I have had. There was also some homemade pickle Chips that were delicious. We split a PB pie. I hope they do coconut pie at some point. My only critique is the burger (all sandwiches) should come with potato chips. Or fries but I am thinking they don't have a fryer there. I didn't mind the price of the burger but the sides were too expensive for me to add. I just wanted something more with that burger. If that burger had Chips would be 5 stars. Highly recommend this place. I look forward to eating there again.

Immediate must-try status. I hatched a plan to visit on a chilly January Friday night, knowing they'd recently been selling out of items before their posted 7pm closing time. The target: 5:30pm. Risky enough to feel exciting, early enough to still secure smoked meat. A calculated move. Get Smok'd is located in a strip mall, and when I arrived, most of the front parking spots were full. Brief "oh no" moment...then I snagged a spot from someone pulling out and hustled inside. The dining room was much more spacious than it looked from outside, though many tables were already filled. I stepped up to the counter fully prepared--having studied both the menu and their social media all week in belly-growling anticipation. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with street corn and a fountain soda. Adventure Buddy went with the Lamb Gyro special, coleslaw, and a soda. Total for dinner came in around $40, which felt very reasonable for the amount of food. We timed it perfectly. About 10 minutes after we arrived, a large party of ~20 people walked in and filled a reserved table. More folks followed right behind them and suddenly the place was packed, buzzing, and running low on seats. Lamb Gyro: Fantastic. The smoke really came through on the lamb, and the tzatziki was super cucumber-forward, which Adventure Buddy loved. It was also a generous portion for the price--always appreciated. Street Corn: First off, the presentation was on point. The husk flared out like a little sunburst--very eye-catching. The cook on the corn was perfect, seasoning was just right, and the ear itself was a great size. Goldilocks corn. Coleslaw: This one missed the mark for us. The cabbage itself was fine, but the dressing was very bland and there was a lot of it--bordering on cold coleslaw soup territory. Not our thing, though it might work for some. Pulled Pork Sandwich: The pulled pork? Fabulous. Moist, juicy, perfectly smoky. I paired it with the Lawd That's Good traditional sweet sauce and ate every last bite of the meat. The roll, however, didn't live up to the pork--it felt like an odd mismatch. I skipped the bread and focused on the star of the show. Peanut Butter Pie: I...was not prepared. I did not expect a smoked meat joint to casually deliver one of the best peanut butter desserts I've had in a long time. This isn't a slice--this is a personal peanut butter pie. I'd guess 5-6 inches wide, about 1.5 inches thick, served in its own tin and piled high with whipped cream. This wasn't dessert--this was an entire second meal. At $10, it was worth every single penny, and I seriously debated ordering another. I will absolutely be back just for this pie. Overall, Get Smok'd BBQ earns a solid 5 stars from both me and Adventure Buddy. Friendly staff who checked in, meat smoked to perfection, and a peanut butter pie that completely stole the show. Good lawd! PRO TIP: If you're planning to visit later in the day, check Get Smok'd on social media first. They sell out. Early. Often. Don't waste a trip just to find locked doors and shattered BBQ dreams. This place is hot right now--and very much worth the visit if there's still smoked meat left to be had!

Parking was easy, with spots right up front and no meters to worry about, which is always a win when getting kids in and out. The restaurant itself had a relaxed, welcoming feel. Inside, there was a mix of seating options including booths, half-booth tables, and standard tables, plus high chairs available for younger kids. One thing I appreciated was that the bathroom was very clean and surprisingly spacious. When you order, they give you buzzers for your food, and the staff was incredibly kind about it. My kids all wanted a buzzer too, and the employees happily gave them one, which honestly made their night. Small interactions like that really stand out to me when visiting places as a mom. One thing to know before you go: they do not have a soda fountain machine. Drinks are bottled or prepackaged options including Coke, Coke Zero, Diet Coke, Sprite, Barq's Root Beer, Gold Peak Tea, and water. Complimentary water is available as well. They also accept both cash and card. What We Ordered I ordered the BBQ Sampler which included: 1/3 rack of ribs 1/2 lb pulled pork 1/2 lb beef brisket 4 wings 2 sides (I doubled up on fries) Rolls included I also grabbed a bottled Coke. The food came out quickly, definitely no more than about 15 minutes from ordering to table, which was impressive for dinner time. Food Thoughts The fries were honestly one of my favorite parts. They were super crisp and fresh. The wings were good, and I tried one of their newer sauces, a chipotle-style sauce. It personally was not my favorite because it had a much stronger Dijon flavor than I expected, but if you enjoy bold mustard-forward BBQ flavors, you may like it. They also had multiple sauce options available including: Sweet Sauce Mild Sauce Hot Sauce The pulled pork was solid, but the beef brisket really stood out to me. It had great flavor and was probably my favorite meat from the sampler. The ribs were also good, especially paired with their regular barbecue sauce. Beef Brisket - 8/10 A different cut than I'm used to, but still flavorful. French Fries - 10/10 Crispy, hot, and easily the standout. Cornbread - 7/10 Didn't try it this time, but from a previous visit it leans a bit dry. Parking: Street parking available. It wasn't hard to find--we only had to walk about a block. Accessibility: There are steps to get to the second level (about two steps), so something to keep in mind. Amenities: There is a bathroom that's spacious and clean, with a changing table and wipes, which is a big plus. Atmosphere and Service: The staff was incredibly engaging and worked really well together. Depending on when you go, they may also have a small market set up.
