Horrible picture due to bad lighting in the car, but this is a Double Bunny Burger. Messy, but pretty tasty.

On the way to Penn State, I saw this place off to my right and it looked pretty cool. I had my Brother text me the name of it while I was driving and then looked it up later during the game. We decided to come here for dinner on the way home from the game. It's an old school drive in. You pull up, put on your hazard lights and a waitress comes out to your car to take your order. I went with a Double Bunny Burger, split an order of fries with my Brother, and I got a large raspberry shake. My Brother got the pork bbq sandwich and a chocolate shake. The waitress gets your food and delivers it to you on a tray you hang on your partially rolled down window. Old school cool! How was the food? It was pretty good. The burger was a tad messy, but was tasty enough. 2 patties on a sesame seed bun with lettuce, tomato, bacon and special sauce. Kind of a smaller burger, but it was ok. My Brother liked his pork sandwich. Fries were really good! Dusted in their own seasoning, crispy and tasty. The shakes were bomb! My raspberry shake was perfect! Definitely a cool spot to stop at on the way to/from Penn State. They don't have many old school drive ins left, so stop while you can. The waitress that came to our car was incredibly sweet! Good times!

First off, are you willing to die for a great burger? I would typically say "NO" but everytime I head east on SR 322 I realize I'm taking a huge risk to stop at the Rabbit. Access is horrendous and the place is always busy. That said, I stop at this place everytime I pass by because it is that much of a treat! It's a drive-in. You pull up and the waiter/waitress come up and take your order. They deliver the order to your car using the window tray system. Check their hours and days of operation, they're seasonal, and make sure you have cash! I always order the "Bunny Burger" that's made with beef (it's confusing). I typically get 2 single patty 1/4 lb bunny burgers, with their special sauce?, on a sesame seed bun. I do not like their upcharged poppy seed roll (hard/stale). This is possibly the greatest combination of size, roll, toppings, sauce, etc. in the burger world. If I were to do a burger challenge it would have to be here because I could polish off a full tray, with the right incentive. Other than the milkshake and fries, which are just OK, I honestly don't know what else they offer and don't care to find out.

Great shakes, great burgers, great fries, great everything. The staff are very attentive and the service is fast. It's a pretty cool place to try. You roll up in your car, park, and put your 4 ways on to alert the staff that you need something. The food comes out on a tray that they place on the driver side window. This is a seasonal place, so they're only open during the warm months. They have a seasoning called bunny dust that is phenomenal, you can even buy it for $7. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area.

What a cool retro experience!!! We arrived for lunch on a rainy day and it was not busy at all. Every time I pass this place it is always crowded so I felt like we had a VIP experience. They are open rain or shine and served us in the rain. I really appreciated such great service. We ordered two burgers and a malted black and white milkshake. Both were amazing. I loved the sauce on the burger and the smoked bacon. It was perfectly assembled. The shake was rich and thick... the way a shake should be! Cash only facility FYI!

An absolute must try vintage roadside drive-in! We were looking for a cool spot to grab some food while on the road and this place looked awesome. My wife and I are huge fans of still active vintage and retro locations so this was right up our alley. It looked kept up and maintained well. Be warned, you will wait at least 30-60 minutes for your food on the weekend. It is certainly worth the wait! The food is exactly what you'd expect from an old school drive-in with a pretty extensive menu. My wife, and daughter and I each got something different and we were all happy with our choices. If you like retro roadside bars and restaurants, Red Rabbit is a must try!

Ask the Community - Red Rabbit Drive In

Is the Fried Chicken and fried fish as good as the burgers? Also, I was with if the sandwiches are the same as the dinner ones, same with the fries shrimp side? I'd like to know what Bunny Dust tastes like too.

Burger and beer hit the spot though. The hostel portion is decaying and dirty, and has a reputation for being so, almost like they try hard to make it super run down - like hippies took over some abandoned building and started living there. Even with that expectation it was still a little bit too uncomfortable. Dirt all over the floor in my room with some rugs slapped over the floorboards to hide it, filthy bathrooms where I still felt dirty after taking a shower, and really bad WiFi where I couldn't upload any videos or photos (LTE was much faster). A hornet was flying around the exposed ceiling on my first bathroom visit. A few shelters have definitely been cleaner and more comfortable. Will let the photos do the rest of the review.

A very tasty new dining option along 11/15!…read more Dj's Grill recently opened in the Cove Mountain Farmers Market shoppes between Duncannon and Marysville and they are a welcomed addition to the area. DJ's serves a variety of traditional American/Grill type foods from burgers and cheese steaks to wings and loaded fries, with everything in between. Prices are very affordable and the portions are large! The customer service is very friendly and welcomes even first time visitors like they are regulars! During this first visit we sampled the Rueben sandwich and fresh cut fries. The Rueben was one of THE BEST I've ever had. Grilled to perfection, loaded with meat, and just the right amount of sauerkraut and dressing. My wife, who is a Rueben connoisseur, was very impressed with the quality and flavor. The fresh cut fries were cooked just right and the portion size was large. Others in our group commented about the wings being delicious and the raved about the House Specialty Burger, which is topped with buffalo chicken dip! We look forward to trying other items in the future. DJ's Grill is a great addition to the areas and brings much needed good grill food to the area!
