So the delivery lady shows up with all items but the bear is SOAKED in water and has a visible stain on him. She asks" Do you still want this bear"? Are you kidding me? My bf replies No thank you and she says ok she can deliver one later in the evening that isnt stained with a new cookie. Do you think she showed up? NOPE. Great service huh? OH BUT WAIT! He has to call today to get answers as his mom probably shelled out over 100 bucks for this crap. He calls, the woman on the phone is going back and forth with him but concludes with "If you want a refund you have to put the flowers and balloon that was already delivered outside so they can be returned"!!!! WHAT KIND OF SICK COMPANY would make you give back your BIRTHDAY flowers and balloons cause they are idiots? This is so sad and the fact they are heartless or just cheap is making this even harder. DO NOT GIVE THESE FOLKS YOUR TIME OR MONEY EVER. What a wretched person to have decided this was fair, hope they fall in a bucket of poo. read more

Received these flowers from a friend on Friday evening at 11 PM! Who delivers flowers at 11 PM? They were supposed to be delivered for Mother's Day. Many stems are broken, flowers are droopy and dilapidated and look very sad! Tried calling several times and the phone number is busy. Won't be bringing any of my business here. I was looking around for potential florists for my wedding and just stopped by because I was curious as to what they offered, pricing, etc. I walked in, the shop was empty, and there was one woman cutting up flowers at their counter. She didn't look up until I approached the counter. I had to yell over the counter that I was looking for a potential florist for my wedding. She grabs an old binder with floral designs from 2008, and plops them on the counter for me to look at. She seemed very closed off and reluctant, and I was looking for more of a custom order anyway, so I skimmed the pages, left the on the counter, said, "thank you!" and she simply stared at me as I walked away. Will not ever be coming back here. So glad there are younger, "trendier" flower shops opening up, who are local businesses anyway so I will be going in that direction. read more

My fiancée bought me a dozen roses from this location two days ago. They were a beautiful color and the arrangement was done the way I like. No babies breathe!! They were very pretty but a little worse for wear, a few bad pedals and a few bad leaves. I put them in a vase with the flower food and re arranged them as I always do. Do not shop at Conroys on Sepulveda and Western in Torrance. My daughter requested a $300 bouquet and what we received was maybe $150 worth of flowers. Not even in a vase!! Some flowers were broken, greenery looked like bugs had eaten them and they put FAKE SILK FLOWERS IN THE BOUQUET!!! ! I called the store and asked them what a dozen roses, dozen carnations and a dozen Gerber daisies plus filler would be and yep, around $150. The owner, James Kim was very rude and would not honor return policy and lied out of teeth! First he said they charge $59 for a dozen carnations then he said they were $1.75 each. He said I was charged $300 for labor, paper, creativity and a vase. Seriously??? Like I said, no vase. He also said he wasn't the owner but he is. Drove from LA to their shop and my ordered was sill there waiting for delivery (6:00pm) I was told they will be delivered Friday (next day) they had over 500 orders. Walked in there to purchase some flowers for my mom's birthday. I walked around the store unassisted. The loose flowers that could be made into a bouquet were sparse and didn't look good. There were some plants, but that's not what I wanted. Saw some cute arrangements on a table, and had to shout at the clerk -- who was behind the counter and couldn't be bothered with me -- "How much are these?" She rudely said, "When do you want it?" I said right then. I was in the store to purchase flowers. She snapped at me, saying they were all sold and it would take hours to make another. It was not a complicated arrangement. Given the flowers, I could have made one myself in ten minutes or less. But apparently Conroy's has enough business that they don't have to bother with customers. The clerk waved me to the refrigerated section and told me there were pre-done arrangements. My mother's still alive, so I wasn't interested in the funeral flowers and left. There used to be so many Conroy's flower shops around. Here's a clue as to why there are very few left. read more

To be honest it wasn't so much the customer service that was the problem at was really just a quality of the flowers that I received. The representative told me that they should last several days at least and if I were to give it water and the plant food that it should last me longer. Truthfully they only lasted a few days. Redonk. I went here to pick up some roses on my way to visit my Godfather after seeing their $9.99 for a dozen roses sign. We weren't sure where these promoted roses were so meandered about bc the cashier was talking to someone. However, we were in a rush so when the cashier looked up my Mom asked her where they were. WOW... She looked so irritated with us for asking a simple and fast question and rudely pointed us to the cooler. We wanted to go elsewhere after both being ignored when we came in and then so rudely treated but didn't have the time so we picked up a dozen roses and then waited to pay. And waited. Finally when the cashier was ready she rang us up for $14.99. Dizzang. My mom said she thought it was $9.99 but the cashier said that's just for that hidden bucket in the cooler that's ONLY roses. Apparently our bouquet had baby's breath and 1 green frond that's worth $5. Yes, that's our bad for not clarifying which dozen roses were on special but the tone in which she told us this news was seriously bizarre - not sure what thorned rose was up her a** that day but it wasn't necessary. My dad, brother and I were ready to walk but my Mom liked the roses and we all wanted to get going so we paid and left. Def. never coming back here. I'd rather go through a rose bush myself, prick all my fingers and scavenge some fields for $5 baby's breath then deal with that again. read more

I've had bad experiences with flower delivery before, but this one is just ridiculous. And disappointing. I ordered Mother's day flowers for two different people via @1800Flowers. One order in another city was delivered perfectly. The local one here in Torrance was delivered by Conroy's on Sepulveda and it was completely wrong ... two times ... fail ... The order was delivered on time but it was supposed to be a colorful Spring Roses and Tulips arrangement as shown on @1800Flowers website. Yellow Roses, purple, pink, burnt red tulips and other colorful fillers in a signature purple vase. Not even close. It looked like a Valentines arrangement. Everything was Red and White and Pink ... no filler except for green leaves, and it even had a cheap red vase. Some tulips were drooping. @1800Flowers was nice enough and said they would have it redelivered the next day. Great, I thought! Well it came ... It was in the correct vase but the flowers were basically pink tulips and apricot colored roses. Tulips were drooping so much they hung below the top of vase. My wife showed the delivery person the web picture of how the arrangement should look. Delivery driver was shocked by the difference and took them back to the store for replacement. At lunch my wife went down to the Conroy's store and spoke the same nasty clerk / owner as was mentioned in another YELP review. Woman said that it was hot in her store so naturally the flowers would droop. Also wouldn't comment on the vast difference between @1800Flowers website colorful picture and what they delivered. In fact she told my wife that since she was not the one who ordered the flowers that speaking to her didn't matter. She then refused to speak again to my wife. Wow! Rude. After all this I called @1800Flowers and they were sympathetic but didn't seem to truly care that one of their affiliates was harming their brand. @1800Flowers did refund the order. All in all, a horrible experience. I highly recommend that people avoid this Conroy's. Not only were the flowers drooping, not fresh, and the incorrect arrangement (twice), but the attitude and rudeness of the clerk/owner alone should be cause to cross this business from your list. There are plenty of other flower places ... I'd definitely choose one of them next time. read more

Wow i have just read these reviews ... my experience has been the same.My boyfriend ordered flowers for Valentines he waited 2 days for me to call about the 2dozen red roses he ordered. Didnt happen. When he asked about the flowers i had no idea what he was asking about. They didnt advise him that they couldnt perform as ordered. I finally received 1 dozen lillys 2/28 2 wks later after he made multiple calls. 2 dozen roses dlvrd aprox $134. 1 dozen lillys plain just placed in a vase w/some greenery no babys breath the same $$$ / I love the flowers and loved the thought as he intended BUT I feel that he was ripped off ...when i called the shop i received a tepid apology. I went in person to buy a corsage and boutonniere. I was deciding between what ribbons I wanted or what rose color I wanted. All the while the employer, Brigitte, was giving attitude and impatient. Besides the people I came with, we were the only people inside the store. Thus, she had no reason to not give us her attention. I would assume many people come in taking their time to make sure they pick the right ribbon color and design for their corsage. However, her attitude made the visit unpleasant as we felt pressure to rush our decisions. I bought a corsage and boutennaire, but decided to return it soon after. They would not let us return it that day, so they insisted on us coming the day after. I do not recommend this store if you are buying a corsage/boutennaire when she is working the counter. read more

I can't believe my previous review was filtered just cuz I was the first one to review this place. So here I paste it again to avoid people from being fooled by this flower shop or running into the same situation I experienced. 5/13/2010 I ordered a red and yellow graduation lei from them a week ago. My commencement is on Friday and they called me on Thursday to tell me that they don't have the color I want and only blue left. They had a week of time and if they couldn't fullfill my order, should have call me a day or two earlier. NOT THE VERY LAST MINUTE!!!! VERY IRRESPONSIBLE flower shop. They are also DISHONEST!!! They told me they can use carnation flower but still don't have red and yellow. They claimed that carnation would cost more but they will not charge me extra for it (I paid them $47 a week ago). Sounds nice right? But I called another flower shop in Redondo and got a quote for only $35 which has the color I want and can get it done on the same day I order. I have been dealing with Conroy's for years, and had felt I had received decent service and the flowers were nice. However, yesterday 04/11/16, I had the most horrible experience with them.. Talk about 'ATTITUDE'. When I explained to her what I was looking for, she told me I wasn't specific enough, and to go "Online" and look and call her back when I know what I want! Which I did. When we arrived at the funeral home, the basket was 'very small' and I had indicated I wanted a large basket. The flowers were beautiful so I let it slide. But, to add to the frustration I had experienced with Conroy's earlier, the person that actually took my order, got my husbands name wrong, (even though we went over it a few times), and then myself!!!! I believe the same spunky girl helped me also , along with another young lady named Season. They were very helpful and their ideas were amazing! Very creative. my husband ordered floweres from 1800-flowers and they were delivered through this Conroy's flower location on Valentines Day. He requested that 2 arrangements be sent: 1 large for me, 1 medium for my daughter along with a box of chocolates and a teddy bear. Most of the daisies in my bouqet were MOLDY. The roses were wilted. The arrangements were both medium sized. They did not deliver the Teddy bear or the chocolates. When my husband called to complain, they said they would deliver the chocolates and bear the following day. The chocolates that were advertised online as specialty and gourmet ended up being a cheap supermarket Ferrero Rocher brand. Never Again. read more

The lady in the shop was very nice and helpful, however what she promised me was in no way what was delivered. I ordered a tulip arrangement with greenery in a clear vase. When it arrived there was no greenery, the tulips look as if they were just thrown in the vase last minute and no bow or anything.
