An easy choice for a laid back afternoon in King of Prussia. We stopped into Workhorse Brewing Company for a Saturday lunch and walked away genuinely impressed. The space itself is massive and well laid out, making it ideal for groups while still feeling comfortable and relaxed. Even better, it is kid friendly, which makes it a great option when you want a brewery vibe without excluding the whole family. The drink program really shines here. The beer lineup was solid across the board, with styles for just about everyone. What surprised us most was the cocktail menu. They were running seasonal Christmas renditions, including an Old Fashioned that was festive without being gimmicky and genuinely excellent. It is refreshing to find a brewery that takes cocktails seriously. Food came out quickly and was better than expected. Everything we tried was tasty, but their take on the traditional Philly cheesesteak stood out and is absolutely worth ordering. Though a slight miss for the buffalo chicken cheeseteak, as it was dry and under seasoned. Overall, Workhorse is a great place to spend an afternoon. Whether you are meeting friends, bringing a group or even showing up with kids in tow, it delivers on drinks, food and atmosphere. We will definitely be back.

The large bar and dining areas will easily hold huge crowd Sadly our visit here will probably be our last. The vibe here is most definitely millennial driven. No menus - digital code to directly order from completely eliminating the need for wait staff. You order online pay online and your food is brought out. Plates, utensils, and water are all self service. If you want to sample some more beers. You must order them through the app as well. This discouraged us from ordering more than we would have had there been an actual waiter/waitress. The lack of personal interaction was disheartening. The food was decent but nothing exceptional as we sampled the wings. Buffalo chicken egg rolls and cheese steak. We would have opted to order some desert "bombs" as well but again, the lack of wait staff had us reluctant to splurge. From what we could see the venue offers lots to do with corn hole, bingo nights, live music and more but we came on a weeknight with nothing going on. I would think if we came on an event night we may have had a different experience. Granting stars for the cleanliness, possible potential for live music, the edibility of the food but for us it's a one and done.

Overall a very enjoyable lunch for 7 of us ladies. First time here. But such a bad start and I was…read morea bit skeptical at first. Our table was pre-set with silverware wrapped in cloth napkins, water glasses filled and appetizer plates. My appetizer plate looked like it went through the dishwasher but had lots of crusty food stuck on it. It was gross. I cannot believe that plate made it to the table for a patron to see. The person setting the table had to be blind. Also, my water had a partical or small bug. I was concerned about the cleanliness of the place. I didn't want to ruin it for the others so I let it go. And that was it for the bad stuff. All 7 of us enjoyed our lunch. My shrimp BLT wrap was delicious. Fries were good and plentiful. Cob salad was huge and the other sandwiches were fresh and good as well. Service was timly and efficent. The place is huge with a few different rooms for dining. I would come back if in the area again.

A big $90 disappointment!! The pork sandwich looked like a can of wet dog food put on top of a hoagie roll! In Philadelphia, when you order a pork sandwich with provolone, broccoli rabe, and long hots you do not expect to get what you see in this photo! It was so wet that bun was soggy all the way through. Worse than cafeteria food. The tomato/burrata sandwich was about 5-inches tall and there was no way to get it in your mouth. The cucumber was sliced too thick and the mound of arugula centered on top of the tomato like a dome pushed everything up and over the sides. It might have been a great sandwich if it had been one thin layer of tomato, one thin layer of burrata, one thin layer of pickled onion, one thin layer of arugula, and one thin layer of cucumber, with pesto on a delicious ciabatta roll but it wasn't. What is it with restaurants who think things have to be supersized and over-stuffed?! In this case, everything slid off the sandwich and it could not be put back together. They should have called it a Humpty-Dumpty. Just trying to eat it was embarrassing and super messy. Didn't care for the mac & cheese at all. It was too runny and I did not care for the flavor. The menu was not specific enough to know what they put in it to make it taste the way it did. I have made mac & cheese with all types of cheese and love them all but you can never go wrong with good old plain mac & cheese with no fancy flavorings. They served it with a spoon for a reason - you couldn't eat it with a fork! The cheese sauce fell right between the tines when I tried. Great ambiance and the service is always adequate. I have had better food here so I hope they improve these 3 dishes before I return. I don't fancy spending $90 for lunch that I can't eat.

Was there earlier this month for a retirement party of 50+ people with lots of different tastes and dietary restrictions, but Hook & Ladder had us all covered. My table and I tried the generously sized charcuterie board, Brussels sprouts, mushroom soup (soooo good!!), and for my entree, I ordered the braised beef rib (also excellent). We had a lot of salmon orders at the table, too, and every plate was empty before the dessert menus came around -- I didn't try the crème brûlée or bread pudding, but they both looked like a nice end to a great meal. The staff had a bit of a hard time keeping up with drink orders and refills, but we're a pretty heavy drinking crowd with a lot of different tastes, so that's no surprise. They were friendly and timely in clearing plates and silverware though, and the bartenders were friendly and swift. It's not easy accommodating such a large group, so I can see us coming back here for future big events. I can also see how it would be a good place to celebrate any kind of special occasion with a smaller crowd, too.

Forgot to take some pictures but I did for my Chilean sea bass. It was melt in your mouth and love the ginger scallion infused flavor in it. One of the best sea bass I've had! She checked with the chef and it was a go. My salad was hearty and tasty. The salmon was delicious in my salad. I suggested to Mel that salmon should be an option for customers who don't eat chicken. So we will see if Puddlers decides to offer the salmon salad option. The ambiance is nice, it's loud but always a good vibe. It's been about 3yrs since we first visited. I do miss the flounder sandwich which is no longer on the menu. The black bean burger is a great vegetarian option as well. Last but not least the cheese curds are delicious and always fresh. The beer selection is great and the drinks aren't bad. Puddlers is a great local spot.
