Unfortunately, my most recent stay was extremely disappointing. There were several maintenance and cleanliness issues throughout my stay. The bathroom conditioner dispenser was not properly secured to the wall and repeatedly fell off during the night. Although it was supposedly fixed, the same issue happened multiple times. The coffee machine was also not cleaned properly. It still contained old black residue left behind by a previous guest, and I had to request a replacement. The worst issue was the bathroom. There was a strong sewage odor that made it feel like we were next to a sewer. I reported it to the front desk, but despite informing them, the problem was never resolved during our stay. To make matters worse, when I received my final bill, I was charged $3 for a bottle of water that I had used to rinse the dirty coffee machine because it was unusable as provided. What disappointed me the most was the lack of management involvement. Despite all of these issues, the General Manager never reached out to acknowledge the poor experience. A simple concern for the guest's experience would have gone a long way. I have always enjoyed staying at Hilton properties, which is why this experience was so surprising. I hope management takes guest feedback more seriously and provides additional customer service training to ensure situations like this are handled much better in the future.

With AI technology quickly becoming more prevalent many government agencies are not allowing walk ins except for certain cases. You will be required to make an appointment. We found this to be true with the Consulate here. In the state of California there are only 2 locations. The Consulate General of the Republic of Korea can be found in San Francisco and Los Angeles. The San Francisco office also consuls over Colorado, Utah and Wyoming while the Los Angeles office includes Arizona, Nevada and New Mexico. We needed to renew a Korean passport. After visiting the website we found the steps fairly easy to follow. For any other office it is best to check their own respective websites. The steps are not standard and can be entirely different. We made an online appointment through the 365 Overseas Korean Portal. The appointment was 1.5 weeks away. I thought it would be much further out but thankful for the shorter time. You then need to fill out their form and submit that. It's basic information and what it is you're trying to do. Simple. With that set we went through the steps again to make sure we had the proper documents needed. In this case your Korean passport a valid U.S. passport/Green Card/Visa. You also need your Driver's License and work permits. They wanted photo copies. Luckily they have a copy machine there for 25cents a copy. Not bad just remember to bring quarters. You will also need a passport size photo taken by a professional. This part use to erq me. If you don't have that, this consulate has a photo booth on the premises for you to take that photo. And it's free of charge. When you sit in the booth it tells you what to do. Tilt your head up, turn to the left, etc. It was great. This office only accepts cash, and had to be the exact amount. Found that strange. Not sure if that's true for all the others and is best to check those websites. The good thing is this office has a change machine. It's best to figure what fees you need to pay, and what the total is so you know what the exact amount is. We brought this with us and extra cash in case there would be something surprisingly we would have to pay for. That didn't happen. It also adivses to bring a self addressed express mail envelope for them to mail your passport . In our case, however, that option was not available.. How that was going to be handled would have to wait till the appointment. Right next to the consulate is a parking lot. It is not free unless you have an appointment with the consulate and you get your ticket validated. Fulfill those 2 requirements and your parking is free. If not be prepared to pop some twenties. Not sure if they give change. It is also important to note this office closes at noon to break for lunch. So, plan your visits accordingly or you could be waiting longer than you like. Our appointment was at 11:00 to 11:30. We got there at 11:11 on a Wednesday. Once you're in there you need to make the copies you need. We did. Get your photo. We did and it was actually fun. Then, you can take a number to be qued. There were 4 people before us not all were renewing passports. And only 2 tellers. The reviews talk badly about teller #2. She was not there. And they talked sweetly of number 7. He was not there either. When our number was called I was surprised we waited only 26 minutes. We presented our documents and stated what my wife needed. The agent started going through the paper work, clattering away filling in digital forms and documents and glancing at other references to ensure she was doing everything correctly. And in 9 minutes it was done. She said everything was good and needed to return on a specific date to pick up the passport. If we cannot pick it up that day, we could pick it up any other day they are open. We would not need to stand in line just go to the front teller to request it and it would be there. I guess the brown bag of food was not needed. This whole process may seem confusing and frustrating but in taking the time to review it was easier than expected. The steps\instructions were very clear. The copy machine, change machine and photo booth were big pluses. The agents were nice and pleasant. Why can't they all be like this?

I'll list the pros and cons maybe it will help people. Pros: 1) Everything is done online. 2) The workers do their job quickly and efficiently. 3) Plenty of street parking. 4) After you drop off passport, it only take as few days to get your visa. Cons: 1) If your application is complicated (ours was), it can be a little hard to navigate. There is no direct way to contact the person reviewing your application so each time you submit or upload something, they will tell you what's wrong and you try to fix it but theres no way to clarify. You can try to email the general email, but they aren't the exact person reviewing your application. 2) If you try to call the number for help, no one will answer the phone. You have to show a barcode saying your visa is complete because security will not let you in otherwise, so not sure you can even just show up and try to ask questions. 3) Communication on your application may be in Chinese, which isn't a problem if you are able to read Chinese or get it read somehow. 4) Depending on your situation, you may need to submit your green card, which can be an issue if you already handed it in to get your passport so allow time for that. Some tips. There is a travel agency down the hall if you forget to print something. They can also do the whole application process for you and you can pick up your passport / visa from there (for a fee). Don't forget to print out the barcode when you are ready to drop off your passport. Don't forget to bring the pink pick up slip when you go back to get passport otherwise you will have to fill out a form and give them copy of your drivers license / and have your child's birth certificate if you are picking up for them. If you bring your pick up slip like you are supposed to, you don't need any of this.

Valet gave some cold water bottles when they returned my vehicle, staff are always quick to help, and they do try to always go the extra mile. Rooms are clean with plush bedding and byredo bathroom accessories. The room I had was very small for the price point, but I booked last minute so I guess that was the premium I had to pay. I'd come back once renovations are done, but the staff here are excellent and deserve high praise!

Valet, for $65/night, had to park our car blocks away telling us that it could take up to 30 minutes for our car to be retrieved when we're ready to get it. What they also don't tell you is that there's no pool. You have to arrange with the concierge for a time slot at an adjacent property. Of course, we couldn't get in for our requested reservation time but we were not told that until 50 minutes after the requested time. Went to a show in West Hollywood at The Troubadour. We wanted to have a post-show drink with our friends at the ONLY bar on the property. In spite of being told in our welcome document that the bar was open until 11:30pm, there was a sign at the entrance of the bar stating it closed at 10pm. Had we known about the construction & the pool situation, we would have most likely chosen a different property. Then again, they probably knew that, which is why it was never mentioned. A lie of omission is still deceptive. We have stayed at Hiltons all over the world. The most recent for us together was in Europe this past Spring. I feel like Hilton was being purposefully deceptive in their lack of disclosure. To make matters worse, the night's sleep was a complete disaster. The room was at a frigid 62 degrees (evening temperatures in SoCal haven't been that low in months) even though the thermostat was set at 71. At 3am, I decided to turn up the temperature to 74 and grab a robe from the closet. After still not warming up, I moved the temperature to 76. Still, cold air was blowing from the vent. Finally, I turned off the unit but my evening's sleep was over. I, literally, slept for 2 hours. Super disappointed. Will think twice about staying here again if we find our way back up to LA for our many stays up here.
