My hair was bludgeoned this past year with all of the processes I did to maintain blond, and when I thought to chop it off with a pixie cut, I messaged Jenny right away to schedule an appointment. She's available via phone and their online system, though I do recommend making an appointment. I've seen 1-star reviews here for scheduling issues, but I don't see how someone can review a business without actually having received a service. I love a good walk-in appointment, but I understand that adulting includes making appointments in advance to ensure I can be seen.
Totally enjoy how comfortable, Jenny and Freddy made me feel during the deep condition and recon. I sipped on a cup of tea while I did the Moroccan oil treatment and Jenny and I reviewed photos of the pixie I was going for. She talked me through what she was doing and the final results are so perfect! It works either straight or curly, which is super versatile. Jen also told me about products to use to maintain it. Overall, amazing service for a really affordable price. She also does microblading and laser hair removal, which I haven't tried yet, but I'll update when I do. July 2017: The salon is tucked away in a small alcove off the main sidewalk. Upon first walking in, I was warmly greeted by some edgy stylists. The layout is dope, with chairs positioned in unique spots on the floor. The male stylist asked Alexa to play some freestyle music, and that quietly complimented the sound of the the electric clippers as a woman received her cute short cut. The salon was very clean and stylish, combining reds, whites, and blacks with metal chainlink curtains. It's an intimate space, and I like what they did with the floor plan! My only caveat is that it may be difficult for clumsy people to navigate from section to section.
I went in to treat my decrepit ends because bleaching and toning have not been good for me. I picked up a Groupon voucher for a deep conditioning, cut, and blowout. The shampoo was very gentle, and my stylist, Jay, spoke with me about using a purple shampoo and other hair maintenance trips. He told me about glazes which are about $25 and can add some color love to my locks. The deep conditioning was comfortable, and my curls felt super hydrated afterwards! For the cut, I showed images of a long, asymmetrical bob to the other stylist, Jen, and let her work her magic. I loved the finished result, and will definitely be going back to have them do a rose gold color for the fall! Jay and Jen are so personable and I appreciate their time and expertise!
