I've been using Continental Cleaners for a little over 4 years (I think). They used to pick up and drop off the dry cleaning to my old job (what a convenient thing). Boy do I miss that perk from my last job (we had a pretty good amount of employees using it). Because I was happy with their prices I stayed with them and now have to drop off and pick up my own clothes (sighhhhh, I was so spoiled by my last job). I would say I average approx 30 or so pieces a month (I HAVE A LOT OF CLOTHES). The Owner is very courteous and super friendly and it's clear that he is very liked by the customers. Over the 4 years I've only had one issue so for me that's a WIN/WIN! They also have a lost and found if you think you've lost something (so feel free to ask). I couldn't find slip that went under my dress and sure enough it was there. I also like that they are open on Sunday's. read more

Yes, as Yelpers say they are not always open at 7 am as they claim. But they have not been more than 10 minutes late to open when I have come by. They do a quick turn around , usually a little over 24 hours. I have had good luck with clothes coming out clean. A few people wrote that things came back dirty or torn. I have been checking for that since. Each month I drop off 3 or 4 items, my or my husband's work suits. These are mostly dark colors - blue, brown, black. A few times when I have been too lazy to drive over to Continental I have used other cleaners, paying twice as much. So I am still happy with Continental. Bring cash - they won't take a credit card unless it is over something like $15, at $2 an item, that is a lot of pants and dresses. read more

I've taken my husbands shirts a few different places, but Continental is the best hands down. They have the best prices ($2/shirt) and turnaround (next day after 5 pm). Plus they are open weekends which is very convenient. The customer service isn't the most cheerful or friendly, but that's ok with me. I think the more you go, they more they warm up to you...I actually got a hello the last time I went in. Also, I like the fact that you have to prepay....when I pick up I'm in and out in a jiff. :) read more

I've been taking my clothes here for about two years. Typically I go here because of how quickly they complete my orders. Quality has generally been pretty good up until a few months ago. They've since lost 2 pairs of pants. They've reimbursed me for 1 and tried to blame me for the second pair as of I don't recall dropping off my pants at their facility. In years past, Continental Cleaners was once the place to go in ELB. Fast forward leading up to January 2018. They lost one of my suits which took almost 2 months to reimburse me for. My clothes always have a "scent" (not the good type) to them upon return. The customer service is not what it once was. I semi-regularly would get some other customers clothes thrown in with my pickup order. And the prices have increased so much so, it's not worth throwin' the dice for anymore. These folks are always open, and if you pay when you drop off your clothes it is only $2 per item. I have been going there for a few months now, and I have had a good experience everytime. They have your stuff ready by the next day (and they have same day if you get there early enough) and they are open saturdays and sundays. I highly recommend continental cleaners. read more

Yelp , you failed me! I'm not a picky person and I would rather buy something new than to pay $10 to clean something. So, after checking yelp for a discount cleaners with descent rating I came here. It is very cheap $3 for my white wool coat. (Its bebe so it already falling apart. I'll have a new one next season. Meaning I really am not picky since I plan on tossing it ) It is white so it was sprinkled with usage here and there like dirty sleeves. i pointed out a stain and She said no worries they'll give it a good overall cleaning. I insisted that they mark it since it was under the lapel. ... it was returned still dirty where we marked it?! Lighter but still dirty. I picked it up at night so I couldn't tell, but when I dropped it in the day light, there were tons of places that was still dirty!!! I had brought a jumpsuit, $3 also, that was returned wrinkled and dirtier than when I dropped it off! !! It seriously seemed like the steamed it only, hoping, i dont know, maybe that the dirt would fall off. I didn't expect much being so cheap but REALLY? come on!!! The girl was really nice and took it for another go, hopefully it'll be cleaner. Don't come here! Really, I never will. read more

Yelp lists this place as doing tailoring and alterations, but they don't really. I brought a suit in for alterations and they said I had to come back the next day because the guy wasn't there, and then it would take longer than usual because they have to send it out rather than doing the alterations there. They lose things and are useless in helping to recover them. This is not the first time but I'm doing now what I should have done before - posting my experience and leaving them. The owner had the nerve to say 'we're not responsible for belts' well you took the belt to clean it so where the heck is it now and you ARE responsible - as I am in telling others how awful you are. I left my other dry cleaners because they raised their prices. Now I go back to them. I'd rather pay more for well dry cleaned items that are all returned to me than the cheapened experience I have here. Clothes carry memories so when you lose mine you lose my business too! read more

After using another dry cleaners for the past 7 years, my husband decided he would try Continental because it's closer to our home. He took clothes there twice. The third visit he took 4 shirts. When he picked up the shirts and brought them home, he noticed one of the shirts was not his and one of his shirts was missing. He returned the shirt that didn't belong to him and inquired about his shirt. He was told that his shirt had mistakenly been given to another customer and they would call that customer. Now, it's three week later and Continental Cleaners doesn't have my husband's rather expensive shirt. Shame on the person who has a shirt that doesn't belong to them and it's bad business practice for Continental Cleaners to be careless. They offered no apology! Terrible place and poor customer service! They damaged a light denim dress (came out with several large, quarter sized ink spots) after they washed it. Then they told me to bring in a picture of the same or similar item for credit---I bring in a picture of a similar item and the owner asks "so how much credit do you want for it?" HELLO the full amount! You ruined the whole dress! I understand it was an accident but pay for it! The sad part too is that I have been a loyal customer for over 6 years...and this is how they treat loyalty? Needless to say not ever coming back read more

I've been bringing dry cleaning here for years because it's inexpensive, fast and in a convenient location. They do an okay job. However they are supposed to be open at 7am and they rarely are, which isn't convenient for those of us who stop there on our way to work. I've run into other people who arrive there at 7am encountering the same issue. What is causing me to never return is this - I brought in a dress to be cleaned that had a slip sewn into the dress. When I received it back the slip was missing. I went back and explained this to them. They said they'd keep an eye out for it. I've been back mutliple times and at one point was told they accidentally gave it to someone else, had left that person a message to return it, and would call me when it was returned. I received no phone call, have since returned and was told they still don't have it. When I inquired about what to do next I was told I have to talk to the owner, Nick. Everytime I call he isn't there or just left and I've been told he is the only person I can talk to. I'm extremely frustrated! I cannot wear the dress without the slip, so I either need them to pay me for it so I can attempt to find another one to make the dress wearable. Or they need to reimburse me for the entire dress. But obviously I need to actually get ahold of NIck first. I'm never returning. Their customer service in this particular situation is attrotious! read more

DO NOT COME TO THIS CLEANERS. THEY MESSED UP MY CLOTHES AND SAID THEY TRIED. My grey dress shirt is no longer grey. It is only 6 months or less old and it looks as if its been worn yrs. I have to throw away all my clothes from this cleaners. They said they tried and didnt refund my money or cared. They brushed me off because I am a college student and walked away from me. This place sucks. I asked them to dry clean a couple of my clothing items and get some simple stains out of some dresses and shirts I had. It looked like they didn't even do anything to my clothes. My shirt still had stains in them and worst of all it all came back smelling aweful. I don't know what kind of chemicals they are using, but it all came back smelling like a dirty towel, and no matter what I spray and do to my items, they still stink. And I must say I have been having very very bad experience from Continental Cleaners. To start off I request a dry clean, then a press with no starch and I get back starched clothing. And to make matters even worse the smell of my uniforms are so bad I have to re-wash them, that's right re-wash them when I get home because they have a heavy duty pressing machines that they NEVER CLEAN. It smells like a 1 month old wash cloth that has been sitting out. When you walk in look to your left and take a smell very bad stinky smell coming from the pressing machines. Now if you have light thin clothing you may get lucky and not get this pressing machine, but I was not. I finally gave them up today after getting my 4 -pairs of uniforms back and smelling like crap. I've been coming here for years, I don't even live that close to this location anymore but ill drive across town just for them. The pricing is extremely fair, and my orders are always ready for pick up the very next day unless I drop off on a Saturday then you'll have to wait till Monday. Love this place for shirts, in fact they get 5 stars for their work on shirts. Been there a long time, and I'm really solid on recommending them for shirts. Unfortunately, they do NOT do well with heavier items (especially sweaters). The sweaters (and some pants) I have gotten back smell of an almost moldy and chemical smell. The smell is strong, and the smell is not fresh. I have stopped taking my pants and sweaters to them, simply because I can't handle the foul odor that sometimes comes from using Continental. Shirts=Great. Pants=OK. Sweaters=No Good. Prices are great, the staff is awesome, but be cautious with heavier items. read more

Good for basic dry cleaning, really appreciate the quick turnaround time and later hours and weekend, which is great for me, since I'm a working mom. I wouldn't necessarily trust them with specialty items though. My boyfriend took a pair of pants to get altered, and he told them to take 2 inches off the length, and they took the waist in 2 inches! They corrected the mistake but it was a situation where he needed the pants for a special event and they couldn't fix them in time. So if you do decide to use them for alterations, just give yourself a little extra time or spend the money to take them somewhere else! read more

I am picky about dry cleaners. They get all the smell off of my husbands dress shirts and they are always done on time. The employees are so nice to me and my kids too. We appreciate the calm friendliness, the employees never treat us like they are stressed out. I have used them for small repairs also. We have been coming here for about 3 years. There is something great about never ever having a problem with my drycleaner. Great place and I just can't believe it's only $2. We paid so much more in the past . I have always been familiar with how a drycleaner handles problems because you name the problem, I have had that problem with drycleaners. However after three years at this drycleaner I still don't know how they are at handling them because we haven't had even one bad issue. My family has been using this dry cleaners for about a year. I refuse to go in because the woman that works the register has such a nasty attitude. Me not going allows me to keep my blood pressure down by not dealing with her. We'll schedules have changed leaving me to have to deal with her smug attitude. I dropped some pieces off before our holiday vacation but didn't have time to grab the items before we left. Ran in this morning with a positive attitude. I was determined to make this relationship work. I go in give her the info and she tells me she doesn't have my order. I called home asking if my other half picked it up. We went through closets thinking that maybe we grabbed it and it slipped our minds. Nothing. So we both go back. This time with the receipt in hand. Suddenly she was able to find it. There was no apology. NOTHING. I lost it. I requested the manger/owner only to smugly be told he is out of town. I told her that I was done with her attitude and we will not be back.
