They were busy on the day we went in and there was only ONE gal there to serve the whole place. Wines were ok - of all the ones I sampled in my flight, none were worth writing home about. Liked the location - in the heart of Main Street with a nice patio.

World's highest winery

I Enjoyed stopping into this winery while visiting Breckinridge--the world's highest elevated winery, which alone makes it a must-see. The wines were great, and I got the tasting fee waived after buying a couple of bottles. I liked the six-wine flight, and they were all delicious. I got a couple of bottles, but I like their  2019 sparkling rose wine. The ambiance was beautiful inside, Dog friendly, and our server was amiable & knowledgeable!

The winery with the highest elevation in the us! A bit outside of Breckenridge they make their wine, they get grapes from all over including California. The inside of this spot was small and cozy but they do live music some nights too. It is nestled a but off the street down a walkway near the Village. I tried a white flight which included a Chardonnay, Orange Muscat, Albarino, and another I can't recall. I liked the Chardonny the best, it was very smooth and mild. I also tried a buttery chardonnay of theirs that was really nice too. Pro tip: When I checked in on yelp I got a free 1oz tasting!

Great service by Michelle at the bar. We did a red and white flight and ended up getting a bottle of Malbec and Bubbly to go. If you buy two bottles the tasting is free.

White wine flight and cheese board we set up as the cheese board comes in packaging

Let's start with the Chardonnay was really good! The white wine flight was also "good". They have a good amount of seating- the service was awful and the hostess / service acted like we were a bother to her. The cheese and meat is served to you in a package that you are expected to open and place. I would recommend not getting food or extras here. She was unbothered that we were there and offered no assistance or info on the wine. Give the wine a try and see for yourself.

Port and Riesling

Really enjoyed the vibe and the wines. My California port was like Christmas in a glass- so tasty with a great variety of spices stacked on the pallet. My husband got the Riesling, which he liked but I wasn't a huge fan of- but I am finding the more that we get into wine the more that I prefer reds. Highly highly recommend.

Flight

Loved this winery. All the wines in the flight were delicious. The service was great too. We got a cheese board from the cheese place across from the winery while was also amazing. Would love to return someday. Parking is free for two hours.

We can now check off going to the highest winery! Katie was great helping us choose the wine we enjoyed and she was patient with the cantankerous fire pit. We had a nice gewürztraminer while sitting out and enjoying the view.

We took part in the red wine tasting and it was great! The grapes are from Colorado and California - we enjoyed everything we tried. Outdoor seating available with heaters, and limited indoor seating. The staff brought our entire flight at once so they didn't need to keep visiting our table, but they were available for questions as well. Can't wait to receive more wine as part of their wine club! And don't forget to check in on Yelp for an extra taste.

White and red tasting

Fun experience! I enjoyed their sectioned off outdoor seating with a fire pit at each table. It was warm today so I turned mine off but as it gets very warm I'm sure it's nice on colder days or nights! I opted for the white and red tasting. Each tasting is $20 for four preselected wines. The fee is waived if you buy at least two bottles. Each wine was so flavorful! My favorites were the chardonnay (nice and dry) and the red blend. Overall a really nice mix of wines. They don't have food so allow you to bring in food from the cheese store next door!

Flights of wine.

Delicious wine tasting in a casual but elegant venue in the heart of this ski resort town. They claim the distinction of being the world's highest wine tasting room at 10,361 feet above sea level. They feature wines from Colorado 's Grand Valley as well as other national and international wines. The atmosphere is cozy and warm, a perfect place to wind down from a day of skiing or to enjoy a romantic evening with your date.

So cute!! We went for a pre dinner flight and app! There is no food but you can order apps from next door restaurant called BLD. We had 2 flights. The "red" and the "limited". Highly recommend both! The servings were generous for the price. The staff was so kind and very knowledgeable about the wines. The best part is they are all locally made! Would go back in a heart beat. Tip* be sure to check in on yelp and get a coupon for a free pour!

Ask the Community - Continental Divide Winery

We're visiting next week. Is the winery family friendly? I'd have a toddler in a stroller.

Hello! When visiting the winery there were kids within the facility. The seating is mainly high top seating but there would be room for a stroller. Hope this helps!

Are dogs allowed on the outdoor seating area?

Friendly dogs are welcome at Continental Divide Winery (both in our tasting rooms and on our outdoor patio).

How much are the wine tastings (not the blending experience)?

Our tasting flights are $20 and include 4 different wines (either all red, all white or a combination of both). We also offer a special Reserve Wine Tasting Flight for $30. We look forward to seeing you soon at Continental Divide Winery.

The place inside is small, but its still spacious enough that you're not crammed against the other tables. From the moment you're walking up to the place it calls your attention cause its located in the historic Gold Pan Saloon. And the decor inside follows that rustic saloon winery vibes with barrel decors and a crazy ceiling design. They have a great bar area for tastings or a glass of wine as well. I opted for the wine flight, which was great. It included 3 different types of red wines and they were each delicious. My fav was the cabernet franc. It was the best of the 3 for me. For food we went with the Red Rocker charcuterie board and it was great. They pick the 2 cheeses and 2 proteins, which are a rotating selection, along with pickled veggies and a spread with homemade wine tortilla chips. What I love about it is that you can tell the board is freshly made when it's ordered. I was also able to try a piece of the bruschetta with Poached Figs, Whipped Goat Cheese, Honey & Pine Nuts and it was to die for. If goat cheese is your thing, do not skip out on this one. The whipped cheese is crazy, Amazing texture and flavor. We stopped by a couple of days later for a glass of wine and it was packed but they were nice enough to let us stand on the side enjoying a glass till a seat opened up at the bar. I got a glass of their "house red" which is divine. Great body and perfectly balanced. And did I mention it's only $10?!? Totally worth it. Perfect place to relax and unwind.

Came here to do some wine tasting. Before I came I made sure that this place offers wine that they…read moremake from their own grapes. When I came I saw that this place is basically a smaller mom-and-pops winery, which offered 4 of their own wines, including other wines that they imported and fermented themselves. So, I just ordered their own wines. You can taste 4 wines from a list. Luckily, all 4 were from their own Colorado home vines. I sat outside at a table looking over their vineyards. I ended up buying a single glass of their white wine. I had a good time and the prices weren't bad. Plus, they had a few cute pups (Tucker the Golden Retriever!) come up to me to keep me company. Give a Colorado winery a chance since their make their own wine from their own grapes! See my attached pictures!

This is something I would definitely do again. So I hope they do it again because I believe this was a special event.
