We did a day hike for our 9th wedding anniversary and saw this place and saw it had great reviews. Unfortunately, we weren't able to get reservations but they were able to sit us inside. There were plenty of tables out front and inside open but they sat us directly next to the restroom. I'm not exaggerating when I say next to the restroom. Someone used the restroom and ruined my entire meal. I'm not sure how this is even up to code. The table should not be that close, there should be a divider or something. It was awful. I like to come here whenever I return to the area visiting friends. I've always had a great experience here and this time was just as exceptional in service, food, and wine. I opted for a fancy grilled cheese sandwich and pasta salad as my side. To drink, I had a glass of Reisling. My meal was scrumptious and our server was attentive. This is such a great Creekside winery with a wonderful menu. We started with the baked Brie with blackberry jam. OMG! Delicious! Also had the wine flight and then I decided on the Riesling. Ryker was our waiter and was attentive and helpful. All the staff were friendly and seemed to pitch in and help each other at the tables. We then split the flatbread of the day which was the supreme. We loved the dough. It was thicker but with all the toppings on top it had to be! You cannot beat the Creekside views and they even offer you a blanket(which we accepted) in case you get a chill by the creek. Was looking for a lunch place after a hike and honestly chose Creekside cellars because it had a lot and everything else was street parking. I'm glad we did choose it. They have a nice menu of apps, charcuterie, salads and sandwiches. They also make their own wines. I tried a flight of Rousselot, Riesling and the Port. I loved the Riesling and took home a bottle. I tried the Roasted Beet salad with added grilled chicken . It was good but was lightly dressed and couldn't find my server to get more. I loved the baked Brie and berry compote. I would say make resys for dining room. The dinner menu looks good but far for me. read more

I visited Creekside Cellars at opening for lunch. The restaurant wasn't busy, but the service felt like it was and I was told the kitchen was backed up. Things went sideways starting with the cheese board. The server didn't know what cheeses were on the reserve cheese board and didn't know even when it was brought out. We had to ask a second time to find out what they'd brought us. It was also meant to come out as an app, but it did not. Our entrees were brought out before the cheese board. I was tempted to cancel the board, but opted to just let it sit until I was done with my meal to eat as dessert. I ordered the lobster ravioli which was very good. The food was good, but definitely not a big fan of the way it was served. I also felt like the salad was served on a plate that wasn't conducive to mixing everything. The plate was also too small for the salad in general. The wine itself was fine too. The whites were not served chilled, they felt warmer than I had expected for white wines. I love this place. I especially love the owner Bill Donahue. I have been coming here close to 25 years, love the family, love the food, and wish I could only drink bill's wine that's the dream. I try to come up at least twice a year, more if I'm lucky. Come up for tapas brunch or lunch, stay for the wine and make sure to grab a couple bottles or a couple cases of wine on your way out ... you won't be disappointed. They just want to make you feel right at home, good food, great wine, even better memories, and you will want to keep coming back whenever you can. Right along side bear creek, it has a very romantic cozy mountain feel that you will brag to your friends and family about. Creekside Cellars is a charming Mediterranean winery right in the heart of Evergreen. They have a great variety of wine, made in-house from grapes grown in the Grand Valley on the Western slope of Colorado. They serve food (which I'm not able to speak on... YET but on my next visit I plan on trying a few things because everything looked delicious). We walked in on a whim at around 3pm on Saturday (LDW) and it was busy with no available tables outside, but the kind hostess found us a spot inside in front of the musician playing some lovely music. The vibe was so welcoming and calm and the service was on point. Everyone who greeted us / served us / or simply said hello was friendly and made us feel right at home. The outdoor back patio area is beautiful and overlooks the creek. I highly suggest making a reservation because they book out days / weeks in advance) We opted for twoflights and enjoyed everything we tasted: 2018 Malbec 2018 Cab Sauvignon 2018 Viognier 2018 Roussanne 2018 Riesling 2003 Lakehaus Port (one of the best ports I've tasted - thank you for the chocolate truffle to pair with it ) Will absolutely be back on our next visit to Evergreen! read more

To be fair, we stopped here with the intention of having lunch on the patio but were unable to get a reservation in person on the spot. It was a Monday and they opened at 11 am. We drove from Denver to have lunch but we would have had to wait hours, if at all, to get a reservation. The people ahead of us tried to eat there too and were told to come back at 2:30. The seating person recommended to always call at least 2 days in advance. So my travel companion and I asked if we could see the terrace above the running stream. So picturesque. But the terrace is not very large. Not good for a group to be sure. Smaller tables. Still - very lovely. It would have been nice to have a glass of wine out there but we did not feel that would be doable either - it seems (and I am not sure) like only diners could have a seat on the tiny terrace with an appropriate reservation. We also thought we would potentially have a wine tasting and perhaps purchase a bottle to take home. No one really bothered to ask we if we wanted anything to taste as we stood at the bar looking at their wine list and prices. Prices were robust - nothing under a moderate $25 price - only higher. read more

We've been to this winery a handful of times when we end up in the area and it's always a relaxing time. We stopped by on a Monday and requested the patio, but with their 90 minute seating limit, they already had a list of reservations upcoming. We sat and watched a table sit empty for an hour while we were inside by the front window. Service was polite and prompt. Our main server (she had an Austrian (I think) accent) was very friendly, and offered recommendations on her favorite wines. We sampled a few, opted to get a bottle of their Cabernet Sauvignon and sipped as we looked over the menu. We decided to do the sandwich/salad split where they charge an extra $3, but you get a second side. I had the pasta salad and my husband got their weekly salad that was dressed in a wonderful citrusy dressing and full of heirloom tomatoes, tortellini, tender arugula and perfectly seasoned roasted chicken. The chicken rosemary sandwich was underwhelming, a little heavy on the cheese and lacking some kind of balancing seasoning, but filling nonetheless. The musician playing softly in the main dining room was a nice surprise and relaxing touch. We came here when waiting to check into our Airbnb in evergreen for the weekend. It was dumping snow, so they weren't too busy. Their red pepper soup was good but the green chile was even better!!! Comes with focaccia bread. We also got 2 wine flights. The staff working were so nice and helpful when picking wines. Cute little winery. We went in Jan so it was snowy. It located near this beautiful creek where you can sit and enjoy a lovely view. Unfortunately, they only had seating available outside near the parking lot, but the view of the town was still lovely. The owner was very kind and great about helping us pair our wine with a delicious Italian antipasto board that was excellent. It was just a great blend of cheese, cured meats, marinated seasoned veggies, breads, olives, and peppers. We decided on small board, but it was plenty to enjoy with a small group. For my lunch, I decided on the Spicy Capicola, Fontina and Fig Panini. I'm not a huge pork person, but this sandwich was very tasty. Nice back patio with a view of the creek. Service is okay, not overly friendly, but it was the end of their day. Wine is good, but no more flights, though they offer one free taster of any wine. Rose was refreshing and just what I wanted after a hike on a hot day. My boyfriend tried the rosso, which wasn't very pleasant. The antipasto platter (we got the small) was very generous and surprisingly filling with a variety of cheese, meats and pickled veggies. They are social distancing and using single use plateware. Everyone wears masks and it feels like a clean environment. While sitting on their patio we saw a bear wandering along the creek. They are very Covid compliant, masks required and large separations between tables. This little winery up in Evergreen is seriously so cute! I loved the atmosphere and where it is located. My friends and I reserved a patio table a few weeks in advance because it is such a popular place. The patio sits beside a nice Colorado river, which makes the environment that much better to drink wine at. We had ordered the Italian Antipasto Platter with a sausage panini sandwich, and obviously a few flights of wine. The platter was so beautiful and had so much to offer. The panini sandwich was outstanding! The way this winery produces their wine is unique to the palate and is very tasty! I found that the wine was a bit more full-bodied with this winery, but it was still really good. My favorite wine was their Cab Franc, which I have always recommended to anyone who asks me about this winery! The only thing my group would've changed about our visit was to have a little more interaction with our server, in regard to what all came with the platter and the depths of each of the wine. A favorite place for lunch in Evergreen for years! Food very good. Actually Creekside is the best winery in Colorado. Be sure to try it.

When I get a date day out with my wife, which is rare with a 5 and 7 year old at home, this is our go to spot. Here's why: 1) Making excellent food and wine a destination is always a win, but there's so much more that make Creekside special. 2) There's a wide range of outdoor activities on the way to visit from Centennial. We like to walk around Mt Falcon either before or after, for the sunset. 3) The people who work at Creekside are all lovely. Bill, the guy who makes the wine, is passionate about his craft in a way that only comes with decades of experience. I think this energy is contagious. 4) The wine is especially good. As I mentioned, wine makes for a fine destination, and I've travelled far and wide seeking it out. Creekside exemplifies Colorado wine in a way that I just haven't found elsewhere in the state (don't worry, I'll keep looking). The buzzword is terroir (tear-war), and when you follow Bill's vintages from one year to the next, the flavor of the Western Slope and Colorado Rockies really shines through (which is especially fun for wine folk from other states, visit Red Rocks, than drop in here). 5) The menu has changed a lot, Covid has been hard on everyone, especially restaurants. The food is still much better than you'd expect for visiting what looks like a shed in the woods. They are still bouncing back. This business and the people there have earned the community and Colorado's support. They are the kind of people you want to succeed and persist. I hope Colorado's growth and change continues to find reasons to help support cornerstone/staple businesses like Creekside. Returned to Creekside Cellar and had an amazing experience. My family and I made a specific trip given their love of wine and a connection they feel with the owner. The location is very COVID conscientious and this brought us all a great deal of comfort. That being said, with the spacing for indoor and outdoor seating I would recommend a reservation if that is possible for your schedule. I avoided the sandwiches since they were not to my liking previously and tried the Italian Antipasta/charcuterie. It was excellent. A broad variety of meats, cheeses, olives, and assorted pickled veggies. Also, in an effort to meet the recommendation following my last review, I did follow the guidance of the server and paired the meal with a petite verdot which was outstanding. I really like Creekside Cellars. We went there to enjoy some wine and a charcuterie board for my birthday. We sat outside and also enjoyed the creek on a lovely afternoon. I love the charcuterie board, although they could add more meats. The wine is really good. We had to arrive by 3:00 p.m. because they stop serving food at 4:00 and close at 5:00. We would've stayed for dinner but since they close so early we moved to another restaurant nearby. I would rate them 5 stars but for their early hours.
